If Join was on then your home wi-fi must be set to Non-Broadcast. If you did not set this up (maybe your provider did) then you will need to find the Network Name they used, and any password they used. The SSID is Security Set ID and to see more try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSID . Basically it is the name used to identify your router/network. A lot of times the installer will leave it set as LinkSys, or Broadcom or whatever the manufacturer set it as for default. Your best bet is to get whoever installed it to walk you through how they set it up, giving you id's and passwords so you can get in. HOWEVER, if you are not comfortable with this (if you set security wrong, etc.) you would be well ahead of the game to hire a local computer tech (networking) to get this working for you. You can also contact the vendor of your router and get help (if it is still in warranty), or at least get copies of the manuals as pdf files. Sorry I can't give you more help, I hope this gives you an idea where to go from here to find more.

Do other devices connect to the same wifi router?
Have you tried powering off and then back on the router?
Did you connect before OK?
Have you reset the iPod?
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components

Macbook Early 2007 with 10.6.8 cant connect to 5Ghz WiFi

I have macbook early 2007 and already installed 10.6.8, today i found out that my macbook cannot connect to 5Ghz WiFi network, when i check the system profiler it shows that my aircard only support channel 1-13 which is 2.4ghz only, aircard region is APAC and Country Code: ID. is there any possibility to set my aircard to use the 802.11a since it is supported (aircard shows 802.11a/b/g/n)
My AP is Ubiquiti Rocket M5 which supports only 802.11a/n.

Help can't connect to home wifi with new S5
just got my s5 yesterday im having the same problems at home, other computers are working just fine other phones work but mine just says (saved,secured)
i have tryed every thing i know checked every board i can think of and serched google and bing cant find the answer.
the guy that set my phone up wifi transfered my stuff from my s3 to this one in the store and it auto downloaded all my apps with out my wifi at home im allready over 75% data used in one day usually only use 45% all month. i can find a fix for this and im getting irratated because it will be costing me money soon!jornjr,
Hmm, that is odd let's get to the bottom of this and ensure you can connect to all wifi connections. Please try this: Settings> WiFi> Menu> Advanced> Uncheck Smart Network Switch. Also ensure your "Keep WiFi on during sleep" here are the steps for that: Settings> WiFi> Menu> Advanced> Ensure Keep WiFi on during sleep is set to "Always". Please let us know if this helps.

I have firmware version 12.2.121Try this go to settings>connectivity>destinations>then see if there's an option to add New access point. If not then find the place where the open Wifi name is displayed. Then touch it twice then you will see the settings for the access
point. Now, click on options
button at the bottom left of the screen and
select “Advanced Settings” from the list. This
will take you to the advanced settings. In Advanced Settings, you will now see four
settings, namely IPv4 settings, IPv6 settings,
Proxy Server Address and Proxy port
number. In IPv4 you have to enter the ip and subnet mask and default gateway. Then tap back then enter the proxy and port number. You have to set the WLAN mode as public security as open. Try and reply.

I have a wifi router set up in my home and when i run the setup for my BB it says its connected but i still cant cennect using the wifi. When i go into Manage Connections and check Wi-Fi i see a little yellow circle with a horizantal line in it instead of a green check.
