I cant connect to any VPN connection

i cant connect to any VPN connection . How i can fix this problem .

You are welcome.
Issues with the "Shared secret" setting have been reported sporadically, such as in the post above. That seems to be the only potential issue I am aware of.
In any case, it is worth double-checking all of your VPN settings against what the server is asking for. Probably you have done this already.

    I am consistently uses OpenVPN and RamsesVPN connectivity. But whenever i switch between the VPN connectivity or connect into any VPN or disconnects existing VPN connectivity. My Firefox Browser is unable to load new webpages/Refresh existing open TABS.
    In order to restore, i have to restart my Browser each time, whereas i am not facing this problem with Chrome.
    I am running with Windows 7 Enterprise edition, and latest Firefox version.
    Is there any method to avoid these restarts ?

    Hi, this bug is old, but it has useful info for VPNs
    See for reference Bug 702111
    And there are built in features on the about:config file that you can tweak the number of connections and allowing pipe lining: [http://support.vpnsecure.me/articles/ssh-tunnelling-proxy-troubleshooting/tweaking-firefox-for-best-performance-security Third party information on these connections]
    Other suggestions I have seen are to add bookmarks while logged into either vpn. (For example, bookmark the frequent sites you use in either vpn in separate folders)
    In Firebug, when you connect or refresh the page when moving from one VPN to the other, do you see a termination in the connection to the first vpn?

    Thanks for the responses, they have been very illuminating!
    This is very disappointing from The Carphone Warehouse. If they had mentioned this when I went into their stores, I wouldn't have completed the purchases. I bought two phones at separate outlets and neither of them told me this.
    I have been in contact with T-Mobile already as I thought they had sneakily applied a software update that locked the phone. They have denied locking it and suggest that it is something that Apple do. Their solution was a factory reset.
    I have a call logged with Apple this afternoon, so will see what they suggest. Hopefully they will give me something that I can take to The Carphone Warehouse or T-Mobile.

  • Macbook Pro can no longer connect to any wirless connection

    My macbook pro has never had any problem connecting to a wireless connection up until recently. For the last two months, I have not been able to connect to any wireless signal although I can when connected directly to the router with a lan cable. these are all networks that I have used in the past, with all correct passwords or even to networks that are not password locked. do you have any ideas on what i can do about this before making the trip to the apple store?

    i forgot to mention, its not even a matter of getting connected to the wireless signal with a few bars showing and not function, it just does not connect at all anymore and i get an error message saying:
    "there was an error joining the network [the name of the network i am trying to connect to]"

  • Puzzler... Cant access RRAS with VPN connected client

    I have a series of 4 VMs running server 2012 r2;
    dc- my domain and wsus server
    rds- my remote desktop server for remoteapps, RRAS for connecting to VPN
    sql- sql server for database needed for one of the apps published
    av- hosts kaspersky and manages backups
    So, I have a VPN set up through RRAS and am connecting with it and all is well.  I can ping every computer on the network EXCEPT the rds server.  I can ping from the rds server to the vpn client.
    I am trying to use a remote app over the vpn but the remote app is unable to reach the rds server.
    Does something have to be setup manually to loopback traffic to the rds server when it is coming in on the same server through RRAS?
    Any insight would be appreciated!
    Matt

    Hi,
    According to your description, my understanding is that rds installed RRAS and configured it as VPN server, VPN client successfully ping internal clients, but failed to ping the VPN server.
    Are there 2 NICs on the VPN server? One connects to internal and another connects to external?
    In general, a ping packet is sent by the client from its own IP address to the external IP address of VPN server, it will be unpacked once the VPN server receives it, and the VPN server will dispatch this pack due to the internal IP address. So, if this
    packet is sent to the VPN server, when it unpack the packet and find it is sent to itself, the VPN server should reply to this packet.
    You may try to turn off firewall/anti-virus software temporally, and then check to see if it can successfully ping. Besides, use a monitoring tool(Network Monitor, Wireshark ) to
    capture packets on both client and VPN server, check to see if the packets are sent/answered to the correctly destination.

  • My 4th generation iPod touch (reset today) is unable to connect to any VPN systems. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

    Didn't realise there would be a question box as well as title and it would take ages to write out again, so...
    Does anybody know what to do when an iPod refuses to connect to VPN?
    Thanks

    Thanks for the response,
    I have tried 3 vpns so far, hotspot shield, spot flux and onavo extend.
    All 3 can be downloaded and installed as I can surf the Internet fine.
    The problem occurs when trying to install the profile to run the VPN. The certificate shows as authenticated so I add profile, and in the VPN settings tab I can see the current VPN profile, but swiping the VPN swiper to on results in a  spinning wheel for a period and then it gives up and VPN returns to off.
    For the record, hotspot shield works fine on my mac computer.

  • Lync 2013 client switches connection after a VPN connection

     have read that if you are working remote, it's better to go through the Edge server instead of establishing a VPN connectionn first before starting Lync. Reason is VPN is encrypted and so is Lync traffic so the double encryption will tend to slow
    things down. When I work remote, I fire up Lync first and make a connection to the Edge server. After that, I establish a VPN tunnel to work to access network drives etc....
    In about 5-10 minutes, my Lync client disconnects and then immediately reconnects but this time its connecting directly to an internal FE over the VPN which is what I don't want. Any idea on how to keep this from happening? Its not causing a major problems
    at this time but we are just doing IM right now. Once conferencing starts, it could be an issue.

    Hi Shadowtuck,
    Have a read through this guide on how to stop this from happening:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/nexthop/archive/2011/11/15/enabling-lync-media-to-bypass-a-vpn-tunnel.aspx
    Basically, the overview of this is to:
    Split tunnel the traffic, so the Lync traffic continues to flow via the Internet
    Block the Lync traffic from going over the VPN
    Configure DNS pinpoint entries so that when VPN'd in the Lync client resolves the external Edge IP addresses.

  • Dual Remote VPN Connection

    Hello Guys
    i created three different Remote VPN connections with three different networks . i can make them one but for some reasons i don't mix all.
    and iam using  Cisco asa 5505 with Shrew Soft VPN software , so my problem is
    - i connected Shrew soft remote vpn , if i try to connected another remote vpn connection this will not accept the second connection , so please can any one give me  a remote vpn connection software that accepts more than one connection

    Hi,
    Since you mention the ASA and the VPN I presume you are trying to connect by VPN Client to the same ASA?
    Why would you want to have several VPN client connections at the same time? (Though I think that isnt even possible)
    What are you trying to accomplish by these 3 different VPN Client configurations configured on the same ASA?
    Isnt it just possible to configure one VPN Client connection to the ASA that would handle all the traffic of these 3 VPN Client connections?

  • Trying to set a delay in an Applescript for VPN connection

    I need to be able to set some routes upon opening a particular VPN connection so I did some searching and found a really simple Applescript that does the job. Problem is it tries to set the routes before the VPN actually connects so the routes don't go in.
    I added in a 10 second delay which does the trick, but I'm thinking there has to be a way to do this that waits until the VPN actually connects before continuing - so if it takes 5 seconds or 10 or whatever, it waits.
    The other thing I'm doing that I think is bad is I'm sending a route delete command before sending the add command. Why? Because if I don't and for some reason the route is partially in the table, it doesn't give an error and ends up not routing. Again, probably a better way to do this.
    Here is my current script"
    -- Connect Work VPN
    tell application "System Events"
    tell current location of network preferences
    set VPNservice to service "Work" -- name of the VPN service
    if exists VPNservice then connect VPNservice
    end tell
    end tell
    delay 10
    set gateway to "x.x.x.x" -- omitted here for security
    do shell script "route delete 192.168.25.0/24 " & gateway with administrator privileges
    do shell script "route delete 192.168.20.0/24 " & gateway with administrator privileges
    do shell script "route add 192.168.25.0/24 " & gateway with administrator privileges
    do shell script "route add 192.168.20.0/24 " & gateway with administrator privileges
    Any suggestions??
    Thanks.

    you might want to try asking in the Applescript forum under OS X technologies.
    I don't have any VPN connections so can't test anything but applescript dictionary for system events indicates that configuration property of a service has a boolean property "connected". so just run a loop with, say, 1 second delay until this porperty becomes true. presumably it would be something along the lines
    <pre style="
    font-family: Monaco, 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;
    font-size: 10px;
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 5px;
    border: 1px solid #000000;
    width: 720px;
    color: #000000;
    background-color: #ADD8E6;
    overflow: auto;"
    title="this text can be pasted into the Script Editor">
    tell application "System Events"
    tell current location of network preferences
    set VPNservice to service "Work" -- name of the VPN service
    if exists VPNservice then connect VPNservice
    repeat until (connected of current configuration of VPNservice)
    delay 1
    end repeat
    end tell
    end tell
    set gateway to "x.x.x.x" -- omitted here for security
    do shell script "route delete 192.168.25.0/24 " & gateway with administrator privileges
    do shell script "route delete 192.168.20.0/24 " & gateway with administrator privileges

  • Can't remove locked VPN Connections installed by HotSpot Shield

    How can I remove locked VPN connections under Network? (OS 10.9.5)
    HotSpot Shield installed three VPN connections under Network settings. I no longer subscribe to the service and have removed the application, but I'm unable to remove the network connections.
    Three VPN connections were created:
    "US Server"   utahmaps.us
    "GB Server"   jacketmagazine.us
    "JP Server"    brainphotos.us
    However, all these connections have the padlocked icon beside them, and I don't have the permissions to delete them.
    I'm including a screen capture of one of the settings, for reference.
    I can set them to inactive, but would like to remove them altogether.
    Can anyone offer any assistance?
    Thanks

    I have been looking for this answer also... I found it yesterday. if you go to profiles in system preferences, you will be able to delete those completely.

  • [SOLVED, kind of] VPN connection problems

    Hi guys,
    I'm having a problem connecting to a VPN in KF5:
    Until a couple days ago, I was using KDE4, and there I was still able to connect to a VPN (I'm using IPVanish), although after connecting to any VPN I always had to run the command
    # ip route add default dev tun0
    for the NetworkManager to actually use the connection.
    However, now with KF5, this doesn't seem to work anymore. All my VPN connections are listed in the applet, and connecting to any fo them also seems to work (it takes a few second, then the VPN connection is added to the "Active Connections" section), however, all my network traffic still goes through my "normal" connection. Running the above command after connecting to a VPN doesn't change anything.
    Here is the log of NetworkManager, I can't spot anything unusual:

    Edit:
    Okay, I figure out a way to use VPN:
    NetworkManager somehow appears to have some problems with OpenVPN. I tried to set up a connection using PPTP (both are offered by the provider), and it works right away without doing any additional work.
    It's not really a solution to the above problems, but it solves the issue for me...

    Try going to www.whatismyip.com whilst it works, then double check when it doesn't. Router might be having its 'heartbeat' and changing IP's. Going to a static might work, or using something like dyndns.
    Also, find out whay port your VPN uses then to to www.canyouseeme.org to check you can be seen from the outside world, if not, then could be port forwarding issue.
