I cant convert my pages into word docs

Help, none of my pages documents will convert to word docs

What are you doing to convert them?
Any error messages?
Open Console, select All Messages, and try to convert again. Post any messages related to Pages that appear when you try.

  • Converting Pdf page into word without distortion

    I am trying to copy a single page from a pdf file into a word document.  How do I do this without getting a lot of distortion.  The small numbers are hard to read when I do this.  If I just print the page I can see the numbers clearly.

    PDF = Portable Document Format
    This is a special END RESULT format that is designed to be read/viewed on any computer that has Acrobat or Reader
    Think of a PDF as a cake... it contains flavoring + flour + water + eggs
    Once mixed/baked, you are not able to go back to the original components... you have a cake
    A PDF is "somewhat" easier to go back to components... but not always by very much
    Going from PDF to any editable format is a bit of a "hit and miss" proposition... and does not always work very well

    Right. If you are using delegated privs and sudo, make sure that sudo is configured to pass on the PERL5LIB and ORACLE_HOME environment variables at least.

    I just signed up with Adobe in order to convert a PDF file into a word document and it continues to fail.  Any suggestions.

    If you have adobe X, simply go to "File" -> "Save-As" and Microsoft Word is an option. Also, there is a download (paid) called Able2Extract that will allow you to convert pdfs to word, excel, etc. but the formatting is often lost. If you get the premium package, you can even convert scanned documents. I've used Adobe X to do the conversion, and it retains headers, footers and all formatting.
    And i personally share you with a article about how to converting PDF files to Word(.doc), you just need to follow the easy guide.
    Hope it can help you a lot.

    Its supposed to support them but I cant find a file transfer utility....

    They only work as mail attachments. Maybe in the future...

    I just tried it, and was able to convert a Word .doc to to PDF, in spite of the fact that it was marked Read Only. Here are the instructions for uploading and converting to PDF with Acrobat.com:
