I cant delete videos from my ipad 3 on ios 8.0.2

Don't know what I am doing wrong but have tried toggling 'Show All Videos' on and off. Manage Storage does not even show Videos use anymore. In Videos tried swiping to the left on the video as I used to do with ios 7. Tried clearing recently deleted in albums - Nothing seems to get rid of the videos off my ipad and now storage full!! Help.

Found something that worked for me. In the video app, it showed the videos that were taking up space as still being in the cloud. I tapped it to download and after it was completed, I was able to delete the video through manage storage.

Did you backup your device after you took the video but before you deleted it? If so, restore your device with that backup. If not, then there's no way to retrieve that video.

I don't know why the TV Show Tab would be unresponsive. Try force closing the Videos App, then reset the iPad and try again.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
Something else address is why you don't see the videos in the settings, but if you can't get into the TV section of the Videos app, it really doesn't matter yet. Just to be sure, go to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Show All>Videos>OFF. Make sure that is set to OFF.

Do you have backup made of the phone before it was deleted? if so, you can get it out of the backup, otherwise, not much hope.
If on mac: Dr.Fone (Mac) will do the job nicely, I'm sure there's something equivalent for windows, but I'm not so familiar there.

Icloud Photo Library is not an Archive. If you delete photos from your device they will also be deleted from the iCloud Photo library.

If you are using iCloud Photo Library beta on your iPad, deleted photos and videos can be recovered from the Recently Deleted album for 30 days. How does iCloud delete photos and videos from iCloud Photo Library?
Deleting a photo or video from your Photos app will also remove the item from iCloud Photo Library and from your iCloud storage allocation. Photos and videos you remove can be recovered from the Recently Deleted album for 30 days. After 30 days, your content will be removed from the Recently Deleted album. Photos are backed up on our servers for up to 30 days after they're deleted from the Photos app. If you need to recover these photos during that time, contact Apple Support.
If you have have a backup available on either iTunes or iCloud from when those videos were on the device, restoring from that backup may be an option as well. Please refer to the attached article for more information on restoring from an iCloud or iTunes backup.

You can restore from iTune or iCloud backup if you have one.

i have some videos on my ipod but when i click on "movies" tab under my ipod when it is connected to itunes, the videos aren't there. how can i see the videos in order to erase them?

You can delete content from your iTunes/computer hard drive after transferring them to the iPod, and for this you need to set your iPod to manage the iPod content manually.
However, storing content on your iPod and nowhere else is an extremely risky option because when (and not if) there comes a time to restore your iPod, which is a very common fix for iPod problems, then all the music/videos etc would be erased. If you no longer have them in iTunes (or any other back up), then all that stuff would be lost.
At the very least back up your music and/or videos to either cd or dvd before deleting it, particularly any purchased music/videos, as this would have to be bought again if it were lost. See this about backing up media.

Why can't i delete videos from my ipad mini 2?

Hi,
I'm running out of space on my iPad mini 2, 32gb, ios8.1.2. I want to delete some videos I shot on holiday last year, so I can make some more this year.
In the camera roll, I hit select, select the vids to delete, but the trash can icon goes grey (inactive) instead of blue (active). Deleting photographs is not a problem.
These films are not on my Cloud drive. I copied them onto my laptop - for editing purposes and backup. They are in a sub-folder in Movies, not in iTunes, as far as I can tell.
This doesn't explain why they are still on my iPad, despite all attempts to delete them!
Please help - I dare not shoot more vid until I know I'll be able to get rid of it!

Is it possible that these videos are being used in an iMovie for iOS project? That would cause it to be impossible to delete them. See this article for how to complete the deletion -

Cant save photo from email IPad 2 iOS 8.1.1

Suddenly there is no option to "save to camera roll" when you long press a photo in an email. What to do?

With a long tap you should see a screen that includes several choices, one of which is "Save Image." That choice will save the image to the Camera Roll. If you do not get the screen of choices I suggest quitting the Mail app and then reset your iPad. Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. The reset the iPad. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.

HT204291 My AirPlay has suddenly stopped working!! I've been using it for the last 4 months, today I tried to watch a video from my iPad 2 iOS 5 and I have no AirPlay icon. Have also tried it on my iPhone 4 iso5 and also no icon on that. Please help.

I have been using my appletv for the last 4 months, gone to ue it today and the airplay icon dose not appear on me ipad2 running iso5 where is has been. I have also tried on my iphone 4 running iso 5 and again no joy.
I have compleated a soft reset on all devices and checked that they are all conected to the same wifi which they are.

Thanks Winston, restarting my router worked for me too. Seems that somehow the DCHP (maybe due to the Mountain Lion upgrade?) had assigned the same IP address to both the AppleTV and my iMac. The AppleTV stopped appearing as an AirPlay device for my iPhone and Mac, but still the AppleTV had Internet access.
Restarting the router reassigned IPs and without fanfare, the AppleTV is now available to AirPlay.

I have a new Ipad mini that I used to take video. It never connected to the wifi and the video was deleted by mistake. It wasn't save to ICloud and was not connected to save to ITunes. Do any of you Mac Genius know of a way to retrieve a deleted video from an IPAD? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, when something is deleted it is gone forever, if you never made a backup.

When you are in the video app, select the video you want to delete. On the next screen, slide your finger across the video title and the delete button will appear. Just press the button.

Unable to delete videos from my iad

I am unable to delete videos from my ipad. When I go to Settings - Usage - Storage; the video section will show up as no data in it even if it has multiple videos downloaded from itunes in it. I am using iOS 7.0.4 on a new iPad mini Retina 64GB. I am seeing the same problem on my iPhone 5S.

I was puzzled by this since ios7 I waited for 7.1 and thought it was fixed as it seems to go away. Now its back in 8.0 and 8.0.2.
It seems somewhat related to incomplete accounting of downloaded video and music too on the device and applying to storage left on device as these two icons are not showing up under usage in settings, even with show all selected.
Here is what I did:
Go to "Videos" under settings, turn off "show all videos", this will show only videos that presumably are on your device.
Go to Videos" app and you should see video that is presumably downloaded to device, select the cloud icon and as unintuitive as it seems, download the video as if it is not already on the device.
When one or all of your videos finish, go to "Settings", "General", "Usage", you will see an increase in available storage.
While there, select "Manage Storage" and "Videos" should show up in usage and an amount of MB or GB.
Select "Videos" under storage and your videos will present. Select "Edit" in upper right corner.
Select red "minus symbol", delete.
As you do this you will see more and more of your devices storage coming back in available storage.
This is similar to or is a memory leak issue that needs to be addressed. It apparently hasn't yet.
The same process works with Music. I haven't seen this as an issue in dealing with apps.
