I cant download mac os x 10.8.3 from the appstore. how can i download it?
i am using mac osX 10.8.3 . i purched it when it was released. now i want a fresh installtion of it but i cant download ML from the appstore when it complete 20% appstore give an error like (you have already download it) . how can i download it?
Boot up holding command-r keys into your Recovery Volume.

Restore from TM backup
Reinstall Mac OS X
Get help online
Disk Utility
First run Disk Utility Repair Disk, if you get errors run until no errors reported or reports "the disk cannot be fixed". Then, choose Reinstall OS X. This will be an install "in place" and shouldn't effect any of your own data or settings.

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move this folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.
If that doesn't do it and you can afford to redo all your Rules, try these & reboot...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist.backup
Note, in 10.5 & up /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/ may or may not exist. -

Really, the colleague should have restored the computer to the original state before he sold/gave it to you.
Ideally, you would erase the drive, and reinstall the operating system to make the computer system "yours", entirely. Your natural apprehension is that you probably want to inherit all of the colleague's installed applications and files (some of which probably violates licenses for those apps and files), right?.
Provided that you are legally acquiring all these files/apps, alternatively create another admin user (you), and then login under the other user name and transfer all wanted/needed files in the colleague's home directory to the shared directory. Then login as "you", and subsequently transfer these files to your user directory. After this is all done, delete the colleague's admin account (deleting the old users directories as well). -
If I've removed the app from the purchased how can I download again for free?

Verizon Droid Incredible running android 2.1 will not allow the install as it was not downloaded via android market. Is there a way around this, or is there a version in the market?
In the Android "Settings" app, go to "Applications" and check the box labeled "Unknown sources." This will allow installation of non-Market apps.
Some carriers (like AT&T) disable this setting, but I don't think that Verizon does. -

You don't need a CD to download anything; just download & install the trial from http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_elements, then activate it with your serial number.

I'm looking to use Bootcamp on my iMac 24". If I download Windows 7 from the Windows website, can I properly install it to my Mac? Do I need the disks instead?
I'm hoping to download it from their website because I can pay $30 for the student discount instead of $119...When burning the .iso file to a disc restrict the burn-speed to 2x
Otherwise the disc will most likely not work.

Try downloading them onto the iPad normally. If you're asked to pay for them, you can't.
The developer needs to create the two versions separately.

In future do not rely upon being able to download again. The policy could be discontinued without notice and then you'd be in a mess. Even now you still can't redownload everything. Transfer properly next time and make backups. -

I just had the same problem, I've updated to 10.6.8 yesterday, and since then the browsing are very slow, no matter what broswer I am using, the upload download speed are still the same. But browsing just take forever, It takes for example google.com 30 seconds to load. I have Extream high speed internet connection, 3 other computers, and the only one is having this problem is the Mac after the update.
Something in this update screwed my browsing capabitilties, I tried downloading Crome browser, same issue.
I hope there is a way beside TimeMachine to revert the latest update. I don't want to reformat as I am sure as soon as I am going to do the update it will cause the same problem.
