I cant download the ios 5 upgrade
i have tried so many times to upgrade to ios 5 but i cant do it.
The iPhone 3G cannot be updated to iOS 5. The latest is 4.2.1. You need an iPhone 3GS, 4 or 4S to support iOS 5. The iPhone 3G cannot be updated because its hardware cannot support the latest OS.

Before I downloaded the iOS 7 upgrade I could turn off the apps that were running in the background by double clicking the bottom button to bring up the apps. I would hold down on 1 app, X's would appear on each and then I could close them. How Now?

I have attempted to reset the network settings, nothing changed. The wireless router is working and has nothing wrong with it. Ever since I downloaded the software update, WiFi connection can not happen and every time I try to do anything that uses the internet it directs me to the apple support site. How can this be resolved?
I've tried the following:
* Settings | General | Reset | Reset Network Settings (Twice)
* Settings | General | Reset | Reset All Settings (Once)
* Plugging it in and doing a "Restore" through iTunes (that's how I downloaded iOS 5.1.1 in the first place)
All the passcodes and restrictions are are turned off.
When I first try to connect to the network, I'm prompted to enter my username and password (I've elected to "forget" the network a few times so I can get this screen again). If I enter it wrong, then I just get an error that I'm not connected. When I enter it right, I get a warning that the certificate is "not verified". When I click on "More Details", I can see all the information that got pulled from the network (Issuer Name, Signature Algorithm, Public Key Algorithm, Key Usage, etc.). When I choose to "Accept", I get the little icon indicating that it's trying to connect...this never goes away (I let it run for an hour).
The encryption type on the main Wifi I'm trying to connect to says it's RSA (I'm guessing it's WEP though...I didn't set it up, our IT group did that). -

Hi I am not at the setup stage once the soft wear was updated I was never able to enter into my I pad due to the pass code needing to be entered.

Try these steps:
There was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone (or another iOS device)
See the steps below for error codes 3000-3999.
Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3014, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network. -
How do I upgrade the iOs on my ipad1 to version5? I've tried through itunes many times, but I get a message that says that the download was interrupted and i should try again later. Can i download the iOS file to my PC and transfer it to the ipad? How should I do that?

Keep trying or maybe try again later. There are millions of people who are currently trying to do the same thing you're doing. Just be patient and you will be able to update, this happens on launch day. Just curious.....what was the error

If you registered CS4 then you might be able to find the serial number for it in your Adobe account online. If not, you still might be able to get someone in chat to assist you with getting it.

Cant download the Recovery Upgrade.
I cant download the Recovery Upgrade because something is wrong with my internet (im sure my internet is okay) and i need it really bad because i cant use my ipod because its in recovery mode and i cant charge it because itunes cant reconize my ipod, do i need the upgrade or is it something else?
p.s. when i try to download it, it stops when i need the last 100kb and the error code is = -3259.That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
What web browser have you been using to do the download? If it's IE, do you have any better luck if you use Firefox (or vice versa)? -

Even a four-year-old MacBook should have come with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. Leopard can run the latest version of iTunes; it will download and install pretty much automatically if you run Software Update.
You might first have to be sure that you are running the latest version of Leopard, which is 10.5.8. This, too, will download and install for you if you run Software Update. Just keep running Software Update until there is nothing left to download and install (you might have to run it more than once because some updates require previous updates to be installed first).
If you have a version of Mac OS X earlier than 10.5, then you can't run the latest version of iTunes. You will need to buy a more recent version of Mac OS X. You must be running at least 10.4 Tiger, and you can upgrade directly to Snow Leopard from Tiger. Apple still sells Snow Leopard for about $30 and you might find it slightly less at a retailer or on eBay. After upgrading to Snow Leopard, you will be able to upgrade to Lion using the Mac App Store for another $30 or so if your MacBook meets the minimum system requirements. -
I just got this new ipod 3. I plugged it into the computer and i have itunes and it updated to the IOS 4.2.1 and now i have downloaded the IOS 4.3 to my computer but now how do i down load it to my ipod. ? when i open up itunes with my ipod and click summary below the picture is said backups and options. If you can't download using your phone, then just download it from Itunes and then sync your phone.

Hi, downloaded Yosemite 10.10.2, tried opening my iphoto, said I need to prepare library and need to download the iphoto library upgrader. Everytime I try to down it, it starts then cancels out and comes up as an error?Not sure what to do next!!!!
Do the following:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.>Click on the Add Library button,
2 - select the library you want to add from those in the selection window.
3 - make sure that in the rebuild window the checkbox "Scavange orphaned photos" is checked.
4 - now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
5 - in the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed. Click on the Create button.
Note 1: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost.
Note 2: Your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired. -

I live in South Africa, and I had the same problem with my iPhone 4.
After weeks of frustration and swearing, I was in the process of restoring my phone to a previous iOS. To do that you need to turn the "Find my iPhone" option off, since i turned it off, my problem was solved. No need to repair anything or revert back to old iOS.
