I can´t downloand the last version of the ipad software?? It takes like 4 hours? could be that long. After a while it just shuts down.
iOS 4.3.5 is nearly 600 meg, so if you're on a slow connection it will take a while to download. If you're getting a network timeout then try temporarily turning off your firewall and antivirus software whilst the update is downloading.

I just downloaded the new 8.0 version of Firefox, but all of my extra tabs, auto fill, Google search tool bar, etc, etc, are gone and I want them back!!
How do I reverse back to the last version of Firefox?
I tried "RESTORE" to the day before on my computer, but that did not put everything back.
How can I get these things back??

There are a lot of benefits to running the latest version of Firefox. You should consider [http://input.mozilla.com/en-US/feedback leaving feedback] for the developers so that they can continue to improve the product. If you are just having trouble finding things, you go to ''Firefox > Options > Menu bar''. This will give you a more familiar feel by enabling all of the menu items you are used to. You should also check out this article on [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/common-questions-after-upgrading-firefox-36 common questions after upgrading]. It will explain all of the UI changes. Everything is still there, it's just been moved around a bit.
If you still want to roll back to a previous version of Firefox, just take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[Installing a previous version of Firefox]].

Please, I am partially handicapped, and with the new version 4.0, I have lost ALL my Most Visited links and history, plus my Norton Safe master log on manager is also gone. (Typing in difficult for me)
Regretting this upgrade BIG time, I want to revert back to the last version but cannot find any instructions anywhere.
One blog entry I read said that the revert process (not explained how) made that person lose ALL their bookmarks.
There was NO warning that this 4.0 version would do any of this, and this is unacceptable, my favorite browser for a long time has me wondering now if I should go to Chrome!Firefox 4.0 has a combined Reload, Stop, & Go button that appears at the right end of the location bar. Only one function is ever active at any one time, so combining them save UI space was a good idea. When a page is loading, it is a "Stop" button, when it finished loading, it turns into a "Reload" button, and when you start to type something into the Location bar it turns into a "Go" button.
To restore the Firefox 3 appearance you can use these steps:
* Open the "View > Toolbars > '''Customize'''" window or right-click a vacant area on a Toolbar, ''except fot the Bookmarks Toolbar''.
* Then drag'n'drop the Reload and Stop buttons to their previous position at the left side of the Location bar.
# Set the order to "Reload - Stop" to get a combined "Reload/Stop" button.
# Set the order to "Stop - Reload" to separate them and get two distinct buttons. -
This totally *****...iTunes 10 is too much of a memory hog for my POS computer. I have to turn off all other apps just to use it and even then it still runs SLOW. I think iTunes = Extorition. Why force us to use it? They just want to track your personal data. That's pretty evil. The best iTunes version for my computer was iTunes 7. But it won't let me use store on iTunes 7. F@#$*%s!
Instead of making the program more streamlined, they make the next version LARGER FILE SIZE and more of a memory hog.

The problem is a lot of PC's are sold cheap with 5 year old processors and graphic cards in them.
Windows doesn't defrag on the fly, you have to run anti-virus all the time. The PC vendor installs all their "crapware" on the machine too.
Also most PC's don't come with hardly any RAM neither, most people don't know computer specs, don't know how to look up their prospetive machine on the internet and see if they are getting their money's worth.
Microsoft is a enemy too, they allow "toolbars" Acive X and purposely bloat their operating system so it forces you to buy a new one.
At least with iTunes you have a choice to buy your music ANYWHERE, you could have kept on using iTunes 7, just you would have had to buy your music via cd's or another website like Amazon etc.
Microsoft has really bloated down the last few updates of Windows, I replaced all the old Dells with 512MB of RAM and 16 year old single core Cellerons with copies of Linux Like XP so the seniors at a local center can still get on the internet if they need too.
Still even with that the last few updates of Linux have been a bit rough for those old machines, but for the net that's good enough.

You may need to try this More than Once... Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
Take your time... Pay particular attention to Steps 3 and 4.
After you have Recovered your Device...
Re-Sync your Content or Restore from the most recent Backup...

Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything... and you must continue with the Recovery... -

So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?

any soultions???Same here. Just becoming a nightmare. Updated iTunes and now can't update apps it itself is showing as available updates. Count me in on the latest "You can not update this software since you have not owned the major version of this software." bug.
Next I have to post about a new problem in iPhoto on a new thread.... it lost the "link" between some but not all photos I have in the library and what it itself posted to FaceBook a few hours ago...

Firefox ESR 10.0.12 disables flash plugin - updates to the last version do not work?
Suddenly - without any actions by me - FF ESR 10.0.12 refuses to accept Adobe Flash? (System Win 7 64 Ultimate)
It started with a very annoying bar, which cost me 2 hours to deactivate, which told me to update an very old and unused Adobe Reader plugin. Then it insisted, that the Foxit PDF reader plugin was not up to date. Since I do not use it, I deactivated it too. Since I seldom use Flash, I just found out today, that youtube does not work anymore - FF insists, that my flash plugin is too old and it deactivated it.
This has cost me hours up to now and it is _exactly_ the reason why I use the ESR channel.
What I did:
Deinstalled Adobe Flash completely (using Windows). Used the normal Firefox update, which it recommends (your flash player was deactivated, please install...). No success, it simply goes into a loop, always telling me my flash player is too old.
I also installed it directly from Adobe (the Firefox version!!), in all cases it reports version 11.5.502.104. The last version from Adobe - but it seems to be too old???
I am spitting angry now - this kind of trouble is the reason I only use ESR versions from Mozilla. I do not want your chaos troupe to play around with _my_ installation. But obviously you found ways to do so.
If this is not solved (and no, I will _not_ reinstall Firefox, I will _not_ delete my profile) in a few days, Firefox is dead for me. I am already looking to Chrome and Opera. Many friends have these browsers - I am a bit conservative, and I want my browser stable and the look an feel should be stable also. I do _not_ want a new version every two weeks, which every time costs my effort and time to configure it how I want it.
The question here is: How did you manage to disable the last version of Flash, and why? Why must I now register here and invest valuable time to get my browser to work again?? If I had done something, installed or removed something, ok. But I did not. (And yes, up to now I did update Flash and other plugins, when I was prompted to do so)
Clearly _your_ management does _not_ work: If I use the solutions which FF itself recommends, it sends me in an endless loop: Install newest Flash, sorry, Flash is outdated, install newest Flash...
Is this the 'new security'? Bah. If you did this for the 'normal user' (which you obviously do not respect anymore), you failed. And you failed completely for me: If software insists to do things 'automatically', it should at least do them reliably, _or_ it should ask. But working in the background, changing important things, reporting nothing, and then failing is exactly the reason why I disable all 'automatic' activities and want to be _asked_ before some idiotic piece of c.... deconfigures itself - and stops working...
Hints to the Troubleshooting Info below:
At this time Flash player is installed, shows in the systems software list as 'Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin', Version 11.5.502.146. The rest are my normal plugins. Serveral changes to about:config were done by me in an effort to make FF usable again, without nagging 'info' bars...Additional information - according to the wiki you pointed me to, it was correct to uninstall flash using Windows control panel. I am very sure that I already had the latest version installed from the beginning, because Flash player pointed me to an update on Windows start (as usual) several days ago.
The error clearly lies with FF, since despite an up to date Flash player it decided it wants it new - something to do with the blacklist? How can it tell, that its outdated, if it does not find it and not show it in the list of plugins?
