I cant find some of my songs .. help plz
hi , i have iphone 4s and i dont know what happened i just woke up this morning trying to play some songs from my iphone .. but i couldnt find some of my songs its like it has been deleted or something , its just not there .. i didnt delete any or sync i didnt do anything i dont know whats wrong help plz
yeah will reset to as new.
but you have all your contacts ,music on your pc/mac ryt. so just need to connect up and sync again i know it's a pain but , if it's not working right.

I backup to an external hdd with Time Machine, when it ran out of space it did not delete old backups, now my internal hdd says its full when before it had heaps of space. I have searched for extra files but cant find any. Can anyone help, please.
First, empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. Then reboot. That will temporarily free up some space.
To locate large files, you can use Spotlight as described here. That method may not find large folders that contain a lot of small files.
You can also use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) to explore your volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one.
Proceed further only if the problem hasn't been solved.
ODS can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
Back up all data now.
Install ODS in the Applications folder as usual.
Triple-click the line of text below to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):sudo /Applications/OmniDiskSweeper.app/Contents/MacOS/OmniDiskSweeper
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything while running ODS as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means.
When you're done with ODS, quit it and also quit Terminal. -
I had windows 7 (32bit) and decided to use boot camp but i forgot to download the latest support software from apple and now i cant find any support softwares please help..i am using mac book pro
Try the Boot Camp Assistant when you are in OS X and download those and follow the directions in BCA utility.
Then look up the Boot Camp forum. I suspect you thought this was MBP related forum, it is for 65 lb tower model (and well the new "nMP Late 2013 Mac Pro" http://www.apple.com/support/macpro/

ITunes Can't Find Some of My Songs & Videos
My old G4 was filling up with song files, so I moved my iTunes Music over to an External WD Firewire Drive and all was well. Yesterday I migrated over to an Intel iMac, connected the drive and fired up iTunes and music filled my room. Then I clicked a few titles and noticed an exclamation point next to some of them and error box pops up indicating that iTunes could not find the files and would I like to look for them.
These songs are indeed on my external drive and can be played in a preview and even dragged into the iTunes application and are now playable. Problem is I'm finding hundreds of these now and I don't know until I try to manually play them. My destination in preferences points to the external drive, I've authorized my computer (some are purchased, some not) and I have an up to date iTunes.
I'm kind of stumped as to what is going on. Any solutions you can pass my way would be appreciated.
Steveso my itunes for some reason cannot locate any of my 2000 songs that ive had for the past 4 years. They all come up with little exclamation points!! recently, i went to an apple store and had one of the mac genuises answer some questions, one which was why i had duplicate songs in my itunes library? all was well, and he said it probably had to do with the fact that i had redownloaded them on a my new harddrive. He then proceeded to go through my harddrive and said i should delete all the music files because its taking up harddrive space, and all i needed was the music thats on in itunes - basicaoly he said i had extra copies that i did not need, so at the mac store i deleted them all. so heres where my problem starts, i empty the trash at home - try to play music - then all my music files pop up with exclamation points, nothing will play, and i cant find any of the orginal files which were on the hard drive!! i have no music now, bc some mac genius told me to delete the extra files!!!!!!! so my question is WHAT SHOULD I do now?????
sorry - but eversince mac has monopolized the industry - i have nothing but problems with inconsistent information....... i am advocate of macs - but im getting frustrated when i drive an hour to a mac store with a purchased 100 dollar pro care card - and get the wrong info....which screws me!!! -

It looks like there might be some security settings or software on your laptop that's preventing the restore process from working.
Check out this article in Apple's support. It shows you the steps you can take to try to get around error 1611.
Like diesel vdub said, a DFU-mode restore might give you success where a regular restore might not, so maybe you can try that.
What you need to do is put your phone into DFU mode, which is a low-level mode that helps the restore process get a little more done, or it can help iTunes get around certain roadblocks (hopefully like the one you're experiencing!). Your computer will install special DFU-iPhone drivers for it, and then iTunes will see it as a phone that needs restoring.
To get your phone into DFU mode:
Plug your phone into your laptop.
Turn the phone off.
Press and hold the power/lock button. Keep it held in, even after the display turns on and you see something on the screen. As soon as you see something on the screen, start holding the home button as well as the power button, so that they're being pressed together.
Keep both buttons pressed down for 10 seconds.
After 10 seconds, release the power button, but keep holding home until the laptop sees a new USB device. Once you see that, you're in DFU mode, and you can let go of buttons. Your iPhone screen will be blank during it all, even though it's actually on, in DFU mode.
Now your restore should work!
If your phone shows the Apple logo or anything else while you're trying to get it into DFU mode, then something went wrong. Try the steps again. If it suddenly starts up normally again, try reducing the time to a bit less than 10 seconds--try reducing it by about a second at a time. It should work! -

Not the the 2G can only see/connec to the b and g wifi bands. It does not see any n band networks. -

I can't find some of my songs.

I purchased several songs on an authorized computer quite awhile back (more than a year ago) and I no longer have access to that computer. Some (not all) of the songs purchased from the other computer are not in my library on this machine. I'm inclined to think that I did put them on this machine because most of the purchases from the old computer are here, however, I can't be 100% positive that I transferred ALL the music. Based on what I've read, Itunes only allows you to download a song once, but at this point, repurchasing the music is not an option. When I go to the Itunes store and look up the desired songs, they show "purchased" and I can't buy them again. Most of the time, for me, there's something very simple that I'm just overlooking and I'm hoping that's the case here. Any suggestions on how to retrieve the missing songs would be greatly appreciated.

I performed several searches to no avail. I purchased six songs from one of the albums in question, and from that purchase, I only have one song left in my library, and it's in there twice. I have a seperate external hard drive that I use to back up my media files, and I found the same thing there. I'm sure that I probably just botched the transfer somehow and just didn't catch it at the time.
Assuming that all the missing songs are lost, how would I go about buying them again from Itunes? When I go to the Itunes store and find the songs that I had, they all show "purchased" and the button that I would normally click to buy a song is not available. -

my ex girlfriend stepped on my fone and decided to type in the wrong security code numerous times till it got locked for 23,648,410 minutes. the guy at genius bar said i should do a restore but once i done it its now stuck on "conect to itunes" screen. when i connect the phone to my computer, my computer cannot connect to the phone. im travellin on business and desperately need my phone to work. can anyone help?

Open a browser and go to https://icloud.com/find. Log in with your Apple ID and passcode. If your phone is enabled for Find my iPhone and it is powered on and connected to a network you will see where it is. You can play a sound on it from this screen. It will sound even it is set to silent.
