I cant Find the most recent thumnails when i open a new tab and it is blank what is the solotion to this and i am running firefox beta 19 most recent update

I restarted the computer and i started browsing then i opened my tab like i usually and found that it was blank and the "most visited" sites were gone

hello, is there an icon on the top-right of the page that allows you to switch the thumbnails on or off?

Firefox update 23.0.1, no longer automatically highlights the address bar content when I open a new tab.

The above. When I opened a new tab in the past, before the new update, firefox would automatically highlight the text in the address bar, and I could simply start typing from there the address of the site I wanted. I could quickly get to anywhere I wanted in less than a second. Now, I have to drag and click into the address bar every time. I installed an add-on called "custom newtab" but it just slows me down further due to a lag between the opening of a new tab, and the add-on kicking in and highlighting the address bar content.
What happens is this:
Click "new tab"
New tab opens blank and the text appears highlighted "google.co.uk" for about a quarter second.
Page loads Google and the highlighted text becomes unhighlighted for another quarter second.
Add-on kicks in and highlights the text "google.co.uk" meanwhile I've already begun typing and end up losing the first part of the words, sending me to random web pages and searches.
Why did this change?! Fix it please!

Speedy machine this one :P Yep, that change completely sorted the issue, just opened about 741 new tabs through the shortcut on my mouse just to celebrate. In recent weeks, when I open a new tab, the bars to input a URL or search has disappeared. How can I restore this option so I don't have to use other browsers?

I used to be able to type in a URL or search when opening a new tab. Now I only get the "panes" that show most recently opened tabs. I have been having to go to alternative browsers to go to websites not in my top 9 or to open new windows, which is a pain.

I have my home page set up fine, but when i open a new tab it loads "delta serach" instead of the old layout of my most visited pages.

something has reset my new tab page to delta search, i want the original layout back with the page thumbnails of most visited pages that i had before. please help. very annoyed at delta for taking liberties in my browser settings.

*Uninstall the delta search from Extension/Toolbar

Address bar doesn't display correct link when I open a new tab from a previous page, it displays the linkof the original page

from a web page, right click on a link+open a new TAB. the link correctly opens in a new tab, but it is not displayed in the address bar.

When I oopen a new tab, I get the Welcome to Tabbed Browsing presentation. What I get apparently is an AVG search page.
What I want is my home page-the same as I get when I first open Firefox.

If you want to have a choice of blank or homepage in a new tab, there is a simple way around this.
Open the Customize window and put the Home button on toolbar if not already.
Use the middle-click (scroll wheel on mouse) on Home button to open your homepage in a new tab, whenever you want homepage to load in a new tab.

When I open a new tab, why do I see 12 previous sites in a dropdown, and how can I get rid of these?

When I open a new page in a new tab, as soon as I type the first w of www, a drop-down menu of 12 sites that I have visited at some point previously appears. These sites seem to be totally random and remain the same no matter how often I clear my history etc.

Sometimes when I open a new tab, I get a blank burgundy screen that covers up the window and sometimes I can get rid of it and sometimes not. At this point, I'm ready to totally get rid of Firefox. what is going on?

When I click on the plus sign by tabs, a burgundy blank screen appears over my window, blocking the tab groups except for the top portion. I can still see the URL address field and the tabs above but when I click on a tab, it comes up beneath the blank burgundy new screen on my window. I then have to open a new window but I have to start over on the tabs. I can't use the ones behind the burgundy screen. sometime when I click on the home icon the blank screen goes away, sometimes not.

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"

Today when I opened a new tab instead of a blank page (I set this up), it opened with a search engine. I think it was bing. How do I keep this from happening?

I want the settings I've set to remain. Lately, the search engine also changes from google to other ones. The other day it was Amazon. It's very frustrating when this happens. How do I see my most looked at websites in the main viewing pane when I open a new tab?

This used to be what I saw on the main area in front of me, but now I have a thing with MySearchDial in front and I can't change back. I have deleted My Search Dial from the programs.

in case this doesn't solve the issue please try this: go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information > profile folder - "show folder", then a new window will open up. in this window look out for a file named '''user.js''' (it might be used to overwrite your custom settings). in case it is present , delete or rename this file and restart firefox afterwards.
