I cant get directions in Pakistan in Map app.

I have recently installed the new updated version 6.1.3. its looks like its totally useless in some app, such as maps app is not working in pakistan.
please help.

If you're unable to find your location, try the following:
Ensure that Location Services is enabled. Tap Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
For Maps to find and track your location, both Locations Services and Maps must be set to On.
Restart your device
Verify that cellular data or Wi-Fi is enabled.
If traffic is not properly displayed, verify that the Traffic setting is enabled. Tap Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services and confirm Traffic is set to On.If Maps fails to display results, results are incorrect, locations are missing, or you experience any other issue while using Maps, you can report the issue:
Tap Overview, then tap the lower-right corner of the display.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.

How do I get routing data from the Map App (powered by TomTom) so I can display the point-to-point annotations (turn-by-turn navigation) without leaving my own application.

I have a tableView displaying a list of contacts from a Cloud Database. After selecting a contact, I push to a programmatically created MKMapView. Then I display the initial region (the view) that includes the users current location (starting point) and their selected destination (end point).
Now I want to display annotations (as described in the Location Awareness Programming Guide) that displays polylines which will represent the turn-by-turn navigation IN MY OWN APPLICATION, and not in the Map App currently used in IOS6.
Due to licensing and its becoming depricated in IOS 6, I do not want to get routing data from the Google Maps API. How do I get routing data from the IOS 6 Map App (powered by TomTom) so I can display the point-to-point annotations (turn-by-turn navigation) without leaving my own application?
I checked out Stack Overflow and other forums which basically left me with the impression that this is not possible. I also checked out the TomTom iPhone Mobile SDK User Guide from the TomTom Developer Portal and am still confused. It must be possible to retrieve routes, since the Map App can display turn-by-turn directions. How can I retrieve turn-by-turn data that I may display as a route within my own application?

Thanks Michael. Apologies for the slow reply I was away for a bit (holiday blitz at work and visiting family madness etc.etc.) back now, I set both options you requested to "never " and retried the CMS software with no change.
I do have progress of a sort though, as a test I took a separate test PC and put a clean install of Win7 on and loaded up the CMS software (it worked perfectly) and then took the version of ole32.dll off that machine and put it onto the computer I had built
for her (using Linux) and...
got a new error code. Darn I was so sure I had found a clever solution this time lol.
Anyway now when the CMS fails it gives me a similar error but the offending module is "ntdll.dll" sooo... I tried taking the "working" version of ntdll.dll from the test box and moving it over (making sure to back up the existing ones
first so I could put them back if needed) to her new PC and the PC would not boot.
It seems to want the original versions of a few Dynamic Link Libraries and if I could somehow give it those while not breaking Win7 it should theoretically work seeing as it no longer errors with ole32.dll.
ntdll.dll however seems necessary for Win7 to boot.
So what I am wondering now is:
Is there some way to have both versions of the DLL file in the system32 folder (bypassing the "cannot have two files with the exact same name in the same folder" thing) or rename the original DLL's something else and somehow make the CMS look for
the new named versions so the system has the updated DLL's it needs to boot/run and the CMS has the old ones it wants to run or is there someway to have a self contained install of the CMS, say on a USB flash drive and give it it's own E:/windows/system32/needed
dll's path to the files it needs?
Willing to try any other options or settings you may have come up with as well.

Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
Do you have any Restrictions (Settings>General>Restrictions) set that would prevent syncing those songs?

IPhone not showing in Maps app on Mac

I am using an iPhone 5 with the latest 7.0.3 update. My mid 2009 Macbook Pro is running the latest OSX Mavericks.
When I use the directions option in the Maps App, my iPhone does not show up as an option to share the directions.
What setting do I need to change to enable this feature?

I need to get transit directions constantly. I'm moving to NYC and don't know my way around the city when I was going up to visit I loved the Google maps and the ability to get transit directions and now I cant do that I really thing apple took away something's that people use and I cant get walking directions which once again I used that constantly too. Anyone have any app suggestions for me?

Does your ipod touch have the lightning connector or the 30 pin connector.
Lightning connector does not transmit video because it is digital and the KW is analog.
You can buy a convoluted combination of splitters and converters to get around this but it will be expensive and a spaghetti of wiring. If you do have a 30 pin connector, then details for proper setup are on page 106 of your English Manual.

N8 - Reset device, lost contacts, map & cant get o...

hi just got an n8. It was unresponsive on music and video player, could not find files etc. Also used battery up in about 6 hrs. I did a reset of the phone (cant remember how exactly but i held down menu volume and power for a few secs). phone is now finding music and videos and with power saving much much better. However i have lost my maps app. Tried to download it from ovi but it makes me try to install ovi software tool. This i attempt to do but says install fails. So now does anyone have any tips on how to get ovi and maps back on my phone?

Google maps is not showing roads and routes when I try to get directions

When using google maps to get directions the roads disappear and routes do not show.

What happens to the stage if I get directions via Maps

Simple fact:
1. I'm using my Director-developed iOS iPhone app
2. I switch to Maps
3. I get directions
4. When I switch to my app the stage is smaller and the upper side of if is occupied by the green status of Maps turn-by-turn indicator
5. I return to Maps and turn off turn-by-turn indications
6. I return to my app and... et voilà: the stage is shifted down by 20 pixel (40 on retina devices).
I think it's a bug.
But I suppose Apple will never let me sell/giveavay my ap via their Store because of it...

window(1).rect seems to sometimes work under iOS.
on activateApplication

SHOULD re-centre the window (assuming your movie has the same dimensions as the screen)
Unfortunately the "on activateApplication" handler only seems to work when the iDevice is woken, instead of when the Director app is brought to the front.
Also the "window(1).rect" function notes changes within the handler that resets window(1).rect, but doesn't seem to notice the change later on.
Later calls to window(1).rect.top always return 0.
However "window(1).rect = _system.deskTopRectList[1]" seems to work consistently.

Google maps "get directions" between two points stopped working in firefox

When using google maps to find directions between two points "Get Directions" it will just sit there loading... never finishing and showing the routes between the locations.
This used to work fine about a month ago. I have not done anything, expect update Firefox.

I can still get the basic directions to work in Google Maps, but recently the 3D driving directions has stopped working, and I'm pretty sure it stopped just about one Firefox update back. I realize this function is gravy to many people - a toy - but for someone who uses visual cues it has been extremely useful for imprinting the information in my mind, familiarizing myself with the route ahead of the drive. When I am traveling without a 'navigator' - a passenger who can read the directions as I drive - this is a huge help. Today I got a message about updating the GoogleEarth plugin, which I did - twice! Still no 3d directions, though suddenly the GG 3d driving simulator works. This has to be a FF problem :-(

I would like to use my OVI Maps offline ONLY
My Nokia 5230 has
- internet connection disabled from provider
- OVI Maps Options "Connection" turned "Offline"
When I click OVI Maps, I must choose from 2 options:
1 - Use Ovi Maps online
2 - Use Ovi Suite
I used to click choice 1, but get every time a "Connection Needed" warning before I can use the map offline. Is there a way to go directly to the offline-maps when I click Maps? It is so annoying!
