I cant get messages to send messages to people in my contacts that I know have ios devices. Why not?

I am fairly new to all the Apple stuff and computers in general. I cannot get my mas to send messages to people in my contact list and I have no idea how to fix this or where to start. Can anyone help me, please?

They need to have their apple id tied to their ios device in the recieve at area.
you need to also be sending messages to the apple id account instead of their phone number.
This requires you to have your contact cards in order. For every one you know who has an ios device and imessages setup with their apple id email, you need to also include their apple id in their card.
once you do that, simply type their name and choose their apple id email to send to and then you should be golden joe.

You can send imessages to anyone who is using an Apple device (recent models).It will try to go via wifi but if it can't then it will try to send as an SMS and for that you need cellular capability.
Does your iPad have cellular capability? If not then you can't send to non-Apple devices through iMessage.
Hope this helps a bit.

-One funny thing I want to add too: when I put the iPhone in the Apple dock and connect it with my PC, I open iTunes and select my phone. There you can see the build, software version,.. But after telephonenumber it says N/A: not applicable.. Something I only just noticed. I'm pretty sure my number was displayed back in Nov. when I first got my iPhone 4S.
And the very last thing: Most of the time I have a very good signal, 4 out of 5 bars. It is only rarely that I have only 1 or 0 bars.

No idea at all, it might help if you gave more information, what type of mail, who provides it, any error messages etc.

Ok, now I do wish I could edit....
I forgot to APPLY the network settings for the USB cable to work. Connected thru USB I can tether.
So, I kept playing, and playing some more...
I had previously unpaired everything, and gone as far as removing network devices HOWEVER...
I didn't remove the Ethernet, Firewire or Airport Network devices.
Now, I have done so. I REMOVED EVERYTHING
No pairing, no network devices.
Bluetooth was already turned off, and I rebooted.
I turned off tethering and rebooted the iphone.
I turned on bluetooth (on the MBP), I turned on tethering. I browsed for the iphone. It said I was already paired???? Ok, repair AGAIN, and THE IPHONE SHOWED MY BLUETOOTH TETHERING BLUE BAR at the top of the screen!
I opened a web page, no go... d4mn, I was close...
Opened network preferences and the created a new bluetooth PAN and voila! Internet back on the MBP. I am about to reinstall the ethernet and airport (I can live without firewire for now) and see what happens.
Basically, the link I posted two posts ago, I had already done that, but I NEEDED to remove ethernet, firewire and airport as well...
So MAYBE it's fixed, we'll see for how long. I'm not going to mark this as answered for now, because basically, it has failed for no reason, and I want to know why...
Hopefully someone can come up with something, but having to delete and reinstall all pairings and network devices (to me) is not really a solution, it's a workaround (at best).

If the device has been used as designed, contacts would be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service and pictures taken with the device would be regularly copied off to a computer.
Failure to use the device as designed is not smart.

I use Iphoto sharing with my family on their ios devises. And it works.
The only problem is that, now, I try to organize the photos in a meaningful way (not chronologically) before Iphoto Sharing (Icloud)
But on the ios devices the photos is arranged chronologically.
Is there a solution?

The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.

I replied all to a large message and got the notification "cannot send message..." I usually press cancel or try again, but since the message was so large, I don't have access to either buttons. It won't allow me to scroll down and maximizing the message does not help. I have tried force quit and shutting down my computer, but everytime I reopen mail, the message pops up. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Can I download an older version of Firefox? As far as I know, Firefox is the only browser that is suppose to work with all the features of Angel. Now it appears that it doesn't work with the message feature.
