If you don't have an answer, then how do I get back to my previous version of Firefox with my home page and bookmarks? Or do we just need to go back to Explorer or Google Chrome?

Cant get my printer to work with Windows Vista

I have a Deskjet 932C printer. I bought my computer 2 years ago and my printer worked just fine with Windows Vista. We just moved so I had to take everything apart and put it back together. Now I cant get my software to install that came with my printer and when I plug the USB cable in its not reading that there is new hardware. Can someone help me???

If the printer was installed previously then you would not detect new hardware when plugging the printer in. Go to Start, Control Panel, Printers and check for an existing Deskjet 900 series printer. If this printer exists in the list double click on it and check to see if the printer is shown as offline or paused. If so correct the issue by clicking the appropriate line.
If the printer does not show as installed then install it as shown here. If this does not correct the issue then unplug the USB cable, then go to the device manager and delete the ports associates with the USB printer and allow the system to rediscover the USB devices.

Cant get motif XF8 to work with logic 9

I cannot get my motif XF8 to work with Logic 9, nor is it working with any other DAW. I have used the motif since last summer and it has always been hit or miss with MIDI. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. The cord is connected appropriately. I am mystified, and embarrassed to admit that I really don't get MIDI at all. I have a Macbook pro that is a year old or so. Please help.

Uh . . . . . I had to adjust Motif as in Utility/Control then set the MIDI In/Out to USB. I felt very silly when I found this out.

Cant get Apple TV to work with 5200ES receiver.

I'm hoping someone can help me understand what isn't working correctly here. I have a 5200ES receiver which is connected to an (old but nice) Fujitsu panel with a DVI input via an HDMI to DVI cable. I have other devices - Xbox360, Wii - connected via component video, and a Sky HD box connected via HDMI1. My 5200ES is curently set up with two front speakers connected in bi-amp mode (i.e. rear channels used to drive the bass/mid, front channels the treble), a centre channel and a sub. I have no problems with picture and sound from existing devices; although, in some circumstances, notably with the Xbox 360 playing movie trailers and some movies using the Amazon Prime app, I have had a 'tinny' sound that only seems to come from the treble of the left and right channel. But some other movies worked fine and I don't know why. I bought an Apple TV and plugged that in via HDMI2. I got no picture or sound. I used the Apple TV remote to cycle through available screen resolutions and couldn't get any picture, although occasionally got the message 'out of range' and occasionally got a flash of a screen with an Apple message on it, before either getting screen noise, or a black screen. Still no sound though. Eventually I went into the 5200ES menu and changed the screen output to 720p and managed to cycle the Apple TV to a 720p resolution and I got something on screen (having said that, next time the Apple TV went to sleep I was then unable to get back to any screen at all). But no sound so I attached an optical cable to the back of the Apple TV and to the OPT 3 input at the front of the receiver (as the only digital input I could share with HDMI2). I then got sound, but again this was only tinny and came from the tweeters of the bi-amped front speakers. Basically unusable. As a test, I connected the Apple TV to the HDMI-DVI cable into my Fujitsu plasma panel and it immediately dislayed a screen. No sound, of course, but that should be handled by the receiver anyway. I also took the Apple TV into our kitchen to plug it into a small Samsung LCD TV we have there that has an HDMI input. It worked faultlessly and displayed content with full sound immediately as you would expect. So, in summary I am not able to reliably switch the HDMI input of the Apple TV into my panel and see its output, nor hear sound from HDMI or usable sound from optical (which I shouldn't need of course, and looks unsightly with the extra cable draped over the front of the receiver). However, another HDMI device, being my Sky HD box, works perfectly. As it stands I can't use the Apple TV through my Sony 5200ES, so I'd appreciate any advice and guidance on what to do. I can only assume I will solve the sound problem by switching off the BI-AMP option as that doesn't work with all material or sources, and may allow me to get rid of the optical cable, but still have an unreliable screen display and can't easily switch between video sources until I know what to do.

I agree with what Nick said. Posted below is a recap on what to try plus some suggestions. Feel free to call Apple Support for assistance on configuring or checking out settings in the Time Capsule.
1. Ensure that the router is running in a 2.4GHZ mode
2. Ensure you are running in either 802.11 b/g mode or 802.11n (802.11 b/g compatible)
3. Check to see if you are using Mac Address Filtering
4. If needed ensure you are using WEP 128 bit or at least WPA/WPA2 security
Also in rare cases adjusting the radio channel may add better performance as well

Getting Apple TV to Work with Samsung TV

I have a Samsung LCDTV Model le52***7pzfxxc. I brought a apple TV. I followed the instructions connecting the HMDI cable switching it all on. Lights came on the Apple TV. My TV came up with a sign: no signal.
I am not really up on what I need to do . I read in the apple trouble shooting, it said to contact Samsung. They were not sure. I think I need to pair it with the ITV. Anybody have any pointers?
I expected to switch it on and it just work!

I guess I'm in that statistically relevant sampling of folks with a Samsung TV that does not work properly with an Apple TV. I'm happy for all of you Samsung owners that don't have the problem.
My symptoms are similar to the symptoms found here, and in other forums, but different enough that I wanted to put them down to see if others 1) have suggestions for other fixes, or 2) at least know they aren't the only one with the problem.
I have an A/V network in my house and I'm having problems with my Samsung LN-52B750 TV. I've isolated the problem to the following components; an Apple TV source, an Apogee 4x4 HDMI Matrix, A Samsung LN-52B750 and two different Sharp LCD TVs (LC-42D62U and LC-40E67U).
If I power up the Apple TV, HDMI Matrix, and Samsung LN-52B750 TV everything is fine. I can view the Apple TV signal fine on the Samsung TV. If I then power on either of the Sharp TVs and set the HDMI matrix to display the Apple TV source on the Sharp TV, I lose the signal on my Samsung TV. This, despite the fact that the Matrix is showing that it still routing the Apple TV signal to my Samsung TV. The Apple TV content displays fine on the Sharp TV.
If I then turn off the Sharp TV and power cycle the Samsung TV, I end up with what looks like a sync problem. I can see the Apple TV signal on the Samsung TV for a second or two followed by a second or two of digital "snow" on the TV. This signal-snow cycle repeats indefinitely. The only way to get back to a usable system is to turn off all the TVs, power cycle the Apple TV, then turn on only the Samsung TV.
Note that I never have the reverse problem with the Sharp TVs. They are always able to view the Apple TV signal regardless of which other TVs are also viewing the Apple TV source signal.
I've updated the firmware on my Samsung TV to the latest. I've also seen posts about getting into the firmware screens and disabling "hotplug" and "hotplugctr" -- neither of which are in the firmware of my model. I've also seen posts suggesting that I name the HDMI input going to the Matrix (and thus the Apple TV) to "PC" -- this didn't solve the problem either.

I already fixed the issue, it seems trhat in dreamweaver the fonts ttf , otf, etc must be in a folder named webfonts, and then dreamweaver connects the fonts stylesheet to the main stylesheeet with @inport.I had to unisntall the fonts from my windows and download them again and add tehm with dreamweaver add web fonts feature.

Here are my best suggestions for your camera problem:
• If Apple's http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2090

• Use your Mac's Disk Utility to repair permissions and then
   download and apply the latest Combo Update for your Mac OS.
   If you are using OS X 10.7 or later, reinstall OS X.

   that completes the Combo update or reinstall.
Properly applying the Combo version of updates can sometimes correct software problems, but, if your trouble is caused by a hardware problem, there are no user serviceable parts of the camera. For hardware help, contact Apple or an Apple-Authorized Service Provider for service.

Cant get my sound to work :(

I recently had to format my computer because of a virus that wouldnt let me log into windows. I was running win xp pro upgrade and it was running fine. Now i run win 98se becuase it wont let me upgrade for some wierd reason. but i cant get my sound to work. i try to install the drivers but i get a screen after the install wizard to put win98se cd in, select drive and press ok. well i clicked just about every option there was. and it would either flash back to the my documents on the selection screen or ask me if i want to cancell the installation, i have no idea what to do. I dont even know if it is recognizing that i even am using my integrated sound card. i would go and get another sound card but i dont have any money right now. anyone else have this problem or can help with with this problem??? ;(

You can tell whether the system has found your soundcard hardware by looking in "Device Manager" have you yellow question marks that show hardware (but no drivers)? My apologies if you've done this.
If I remember correctly (but don't quote me) when Windows98 asks for your 98SE disc it's looking for a file within one of the .CAB files on the 98SE (Correct me If I'm wrong) disc. If not, exactly which file is it looking for? - the requester should give you a clue. When you know what the file is, do a search on your 98 CD to see if you can find it. Then point the drivers install to that location (the directory where the .CAB OR relevant file resides.)
You say that after failing to find the file on the 98 CD that it reverts to "My Documents" this would suggest that you'd previously installed drivers (or other Win98SE software) from that location. For some reason Win 98 assumes (for some stupid reason) that it'll find any future files it needs at the same location as previously installed files.
Try installing the drivers for your sound using "Device Manager" click on the yellow question mark next to your hardware (if they are available) and Windows should open the "There is a problem with this device" (or words to that effect) requester and follow the instructions (wizard) from there.
I'm going to nip off now as I have 98 SE on a different partition (I very rarely use it). I'll have a look and get back to you later.

I had the exact same issue but finally after much reading found that the Advanced Video FX utility must be activated first, then open the Web Cam Center.
On the upper left side just above your image is a Device Selection box. You may not redily recognize it as such.. Click on the down arrow just to the left of the Format tab and select the "Creative WebCam(With Video Effects)". Now try the effects. This did the trick for me. Hope it works for you!
