Make sure the SYNC TONES box is checked.
But if you have already done so and still not getting the tones over, please uncheck SYNC TONES, "Apply" and let itunes remove tones fromn your iPhone. AFter that recheck the box and Sync again.

The iphone is not storage/backup device.
The sync is one way - computer to iphone.
The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
You should copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one. -

You bought a ringtone from where on your computer?
If purchased from the iTunes store with iTunes on your computer, it should be in your iTunes library. If so, it should be available under the Tones tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. Select Sync Tones making sure this tone is selected below followed by a sync. -

I too was a mobileme user and have just migrated to iCloud on mackbook pro w/OS 10.7.4. Transition caused my sent mailboxes to rearrange themselves so that I have no comprehensive 'sent' mailbox as I did previously and the view on both incoming and outgoing mailboxes keeps rearranging itself no matter how many times I set preferences. One result is that search function no longer works. Is anyone else having problems like this? All was fine for a week after transition but after having an evening when my password was repeatedly rejected I had to log in and out of iCloud (as directed by tech support) and w/in an hour or so the mailbox problem began.

If you mean what my carrier calls "ringback tones", it all depends on what your carrier offers. Ringback tones aren't a feature of the phone. They are a carrier feature and will work on any phone. I use them on my iPhone. Drives my brother crazy.

Ok. When you log in to your hotmail on another pc or iPad via Safari or Internet explorer does it ask you for your last 4 digits of your mobile. If they do they you have set up 2 step security. This is so to prevent your account getting hacked. If you haven't gotten this set up then try try this.
Goto your iPhone settings. General and click the bottom of the page scroll down where it says RESET press that. Now click on reset network settings.
now wait a while. Then go back to mail settings and set up your hotmail account.
Ie. name of your account John
Your email address [email protected]
Put in your password.
I just put hotmail in the last box.
Hopefully it will process this then you should get the tick signs then bingo. You should be all set up now fingers crossed. Good luck.

I forgot to mention you need to go into hotmail on your pc. Then settings. If it says 2 step setup. Then click below that to turn off your 2 step set up.

Udated to ios 5 and cant get past the find my iphone screen.
Try deleting an other icloud backup and see if it will automatically backup.

Hello, I want to restore a backup from this afternoobut in i-tunes it is not visseble. When I'll look on te pc: (username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\ it's there! How can I get this backup to my iphone or itunes? Thanks in advance!

Since you say you cant see the back up in iTunes you should be able to see it when following the last step where it says for iTunes 10.7 or earlier. Dont worry as this step also works for iTunes 11. -
