I cant get my wireless to work please help
i have a wrt54g v8 i have a static ip my desktop works perfect with the router but my labtop wont connect to the internet i have 5 bars of signal i spent 2hrs trying to work it out with linksys and still nothing any help would be very very nice thank you all
When you said you have a static IP, I assume you mean a static LAN IP.
1) What static IP address are you using?
Also, in the computer, temporarily turn off your software firewall, including Windows Firewall, and see if that helps.
Some firewalls are difficult to turn off.
If you are using Zone Alarm, right click on the ZA icon in the system tray (lower right corner of screen) and then click "Shutdown ZoneAlarm", and see if this fixes your problem. If this does not work, try the following with Zone Alarm: Open the ZAISS control center, go to Privacy, then temporarily turn off Ad Blocking and Cookie Control, and see if that fixes your problem.
If you are using Noton Internet Security with the Add-on Pack, be sure to turn off the Pop-up Blocker. Some users have reported that they needed to uninstall the entire Norton Add-on Pack.
If you still have trouble then please detail exactly what you are doing and exactly what you see on your laptop when you are trying to connect. For example, on your computer, can you see a list of other wireless networks in your neighborhood? can you see your network listed?

I had the exact same issue but finally after much reading found that the Advanced Video FX utility must be activated first, then open the Web Cam Center.
On the upper left side just above your image is a Device Selection box. You may not redily recognize it as such.. Click on the down arrow just to the left of the Format tab and select the "Creative WebCam(With Video Effects)". Now try the effects. This did the trick for me. Hope it works for you! -

Thanks!Because you used a reluctant quantifier in ".*?", the negative lookahead gets applied immediately after "navRelId/1000.1001" is matched. And it immediately succeeds because the "resource_type_etc." substring doesn't appear until later. After that, the final ".*?" is free to match the rest of the string (but doesn't actually match anything; see below for the reason why).
Lookaheads are slippery; you have to be careful and make sure that (1) they get applied at the right position, and (2) they don't match to much or too little. I accomplished the first goal by making sure the lookahead is always and only applied right after a slash, and the second by anchoring the regex to the "/seo.serve" at the end of the URL.
By the way, you should never use a reluctant quantifier at the end of a regex. If you're using the matches() method to apply the regex, making the quantifier reluctant has no effect except maybe to slow down the match slightly. If you use find() or lookingAt(), the quantifier will always match the minimum number of times allowed, which is zero in this case. -

well ive been having this problem for a while with my linksysE2000 for a while . it wont let my ps3 connected wireless and when it does it stays for a while then it disconnnect after 1 hours . sometimes my wife is strong and stay for a whole day and then othere sdays my wifi doesnt even want to work please help what should i do ?
So the main concern is only with the wireless connection? You might need to adjust some wireless settings in the router.

just got a wrt54g v6 and updated firmware i have 1 pc wired 2 pc wireless and a lap top wireless.when playing call of duty 2 i cant join the same server that another pc on my network is in.i can join a different 1 but not the same.when i try to join the same server the game is interrupted on the other pc and mine says server disconnected.i have ports 28960,20500,20510 open. also ive enabled the dmz and the same thing happens.before i got the router i had all pcs but the lap top networked thru my pc and we never had this problem.im i missing a port? are my settings wrong?please help

However I managed to "Fix" mine a slightly different way.
I had set up my router and correctly configured port forwarding to my gaming PC, but when a friend came round and played on my laptop the same thing would happen.
We got around this by REMOVING the port forwarding completely. The NAT can then redirect the correct packets to the correct PC. However this will only work if the COD 2 server has not had its default setting changed (as an admin can change whether or not to allow multiple simultaneous connections from the same IP) So if this still doesn't work try speaking to the admin of the server you want to play on and let him know your problem -

In my home, I have AT&T/Bellsouth DSL internet service with a download speed of 1.5 megabits and a Belkin wireless router. I have never had any problems whatsoever in getting any device to work with the network. I currently use two laptop computers, and stream Sirius internet radio over it. Well now with my new iPhone, it doesn't work on my network at all. I can connect my iphone to my network, it shows that I'm connected with a strong signal with all 3 bars on the icon on the screen, though I get zero internet usage with the phone. I went to the Apple Store yesterday and it connected to their network just fine and I had blazing speed, so I know that there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with my iPhone. Would someone please help me? I would greatly appreciate it.

iMac G5 & BlackBook Mac OS X (10.4.10)Okay, I now have a solution. I found this information in another thread. I implemented it, and now my iPhone works on my network.
"After reading many posts with many helpful suggestions:
I was able to make my iphone work on my home wirless connection by choosing from the main screen
"settings" then "Wi-fi" then under "Choose a Network" I selected my home network (Belkin) (little blue arrow at the end) then under "IP Address" I chose the "static" button clicked on the "DNS" numbers and entered the the DNS addresses of my router as shown on the summary page when I logged on to my router from my home computer. As for how to log on to your router and find your DNS addresses refer to your router documentation. I tried many of the other solutions and this is so far the only way I could get a connection to actually work. It would always show the strong network signal on my phone but would not be able to connect to the internet and find the server. Like some others who have posted, until this solution I was able to borrow a connection from my neighbor with no problems but his router was a linksys. Hopefully Apple will be patching up all these issues soon.
I have no idea if this solution is permanent or even a good idea but it worked for me. Your mileage may vary. I do love the phone."

I have sorted it myself!!
Ipod is now in the top right corner, last time I clicked on it, it ejected it but by clicking on the actual ipod icon then it brings up your ipod. I restored it to factory settings and synced all my music and it now works again. Hope this can help anyone who ends up with the same problem. -

I can not get my iTunes to work, please help
ok when i click to open itunes, i get the window asking me whether or not I agree to the Itunes software license agreement. I click agree and then i get an error message stating that "The itunes application could not be opened. An unknown error occured [-48].

I recently uninstalled itunes because my quicktime was not working, so i decided to uninstall the whole thing and then reinstall it. Now when i try to load itunes, it ends half way through and says "error writing to file C:\Program\QTSystems\CoreVideo.qtr. Verify that you have access to that directory" Please help if you can!

That's consistent with a damaged program file (that the installer can't remove prior to replacing it with a new version).
Try running a chkdsk over the C drive, as per:

Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, does an iTunes install go through properly afterwards? -

Hi there So I've installed BB World onto my phone, but when I go onto it this is what happens;
1. 'Blackberry ID
App World requires the latest version of Blackberry ID.
Close or Update'
2. So I click update, then this is what it says;
' App World requires the latest version of Blackberry ID.'
'The software upgrade was interrupted. Please try again.'
'Close or Retry'
3. I press on retry multiple times, but nothing happens. So, I give up and press the escape button. Then this pops up;
'Blackberry ID installation failed. Please try again later. (80002)' So then I press 'OK' and it brings me back to the homescreen.
Please help me, I've been trying to search for a solution for two days all over the internet, but no luck.

If you have forgotten the iPad passcode and you cannot unlock the device, you have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your iTunes content. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.

What am I doing wrong?
I read all the threads here and no one seems to have problems w/ the provided sample, I even did a fresh re-install of my JDev with no help.
