Is there a reason why you're not on itunes 10? It is very likely that itunes 8 is no longer supported.

Try going to settings. Tap Reset, tap reset network connection, wait until the apple goes restart your iPad,. Back to setting tap provider and put in your network password.

My ipad is stuck on a screen that shows to plug it into itunes.. i dont know why its there or what happened but i can not get it to go away.... i can not turn it on or off.. iv tried to hold just the power button .. which it shows the apple logo but then goes right to the plug in itunes .. i dont want to mess anything up!!... i was using it earlier today and it was fine.. i went to shut it off and then turn it back on and it wont now... my daughter hit the "home" botton as i was turning it off.. so i dont know if that did something to it. but i just want to figure out how to turn it back on!!.. Hey everyone I have itunes downloaded but when I click on Itunes Store from my itunes homepage it get the following message, "itunes could not connect to the itunes store. The network connection timed out. MAke sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active then try again". What does this mean? Have any of u experiecned this problem? How can I fix it? Like I say I cant even get into the itunes store and am getting really frustrated. Thanks for the help.

If your computer has one of the LSPs listed you may have to reset winsock.
