i am unable to find or down load original page with file edit tools book as shown I've tried looking cant find it. what am I doing wrong?

Ever since the latest update, my task bar (if it's called that - it's the one with "file,edit,view, etc") will "grey out" and I won't be able to type into any websites I visit. Only way to fix:either restart Firefox or reduce the window and open it again.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

The problem started when I turned on the computer this morning. I tried to install Mozilla 4 from your website and that installed but I still have nothing on the top.

It may be due to Firebug. Seeing as how you're a web developer, it's very possible you have this installed. The latest version, 1.7X a10, appears to cause everything you described. I downgraded to "a8" and that seems to have fixed everything.
I also recreated a profile from scratch before trying this out, so I can't guarantee it's definitely Firebug.

Acrobat Pro Ver 9 for Win 7 the menu bar (File, Edit, View, Document etc) Disappears when I move the Window

Lately in Acrobat Pro Ver 9 for Win 7 the menu bar (File, Edit, View, Document etc) disappears when I move the window . . only happens when I have a pdf file open . . everything worked fine until a few days ago . . F9 fixes the problem until I move the window again . . I realize my version is old so I tried tried downloading XI reader and having the same issue . . any help would be appreciated

Check if you have multiple Java versions installed on your computer.
Try clean boot http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
Also i would suggest uninstall security software and install it back.
Currently you may use F9 key to restore Menu bar.

How do I transfer bookmarks from an earlier version of Firefox to the present up to date version plus the Taskbar with File, Edit etc

I downloaded 6.2 and the previous bookmarks were not transferred nor was the Task bar. How do I retrieve the old bookmarks and Task bar and put them in 6.2

The Status Bar has been replaced by the Add-ons bar that extensions can use for icons and information.

Firefox should still use the same profile with all personal data.
Is other personal data missing?
A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

How do I change the background appearance for the top tool bar, the one with 'file', 'edit', etc.?

Hi and thanks for your help. I tried what you said, and I found out that if I Dis-able the Firefox add-on 'AVG safe search 10.0.0.1423", the problem goes away. However, if I Enable that add-on, the problem returns.
I think I want to keep that particular add-on, but am not happy with the fact I will then need to click on that arrow I spoke of in order to get to any website (rather than just hitting 'enter" after entering the URL. Any other advice?

I dont have the toolbar with File,Edit,View,Favorites,Tools,Help. Also, every time I log in it brings back all the tabs from previous session.

I recently lost the capability to "view" the "File, Edit, History bookmarks, tools & help" bar from the top of my screen, as well as the "Start" button on the bottom of the screen.

How do I get the "File, Edit, History, Bookmarks, Tools & Help Bar to appear on my browser. I also need my "Previous Page & Next Page" arrow... and my "Start" button to appear at the bottom of my screen. I can't navigate without these.

Be sure you are not in Full Screen Mode. The F11 key will toggle Full Screen Mode on or off. If you have no Firefox toolbars, tab bar, etc., you are probably in Full Screen Mode; your Windows Taskbar (with the "Start" button) will also not be visible.

I don't have a Firefox Tab. Instead I still have remnants of the old Firefox tabs in my upper left corner (file, edit, view, history, etc.). I also don't have a home button or a private browsing botton in my toolbar, do I need to install these my self?

Lightroom,Cant get the permanent delete button for pictures.

On Lightroom4+5 I try to remove some of my pictures permanently, cant get the window with the tree delete buttons. I use a Mac. It must be a simle thing...but i fell over this one a few times...

Switch to folder view, grid mode (or if not grid mode, context menu of selected photos in filmstrip).
If you want to permanently delete pictures whilst viewing a collection, consider splat-delete instead:
Windows: Ctrl-Shift-Alt-Delete
Mac: Cmd-Shift-Option-Delete

Cant get my pages docs that I created on my iPad (new version of pages) to open on my MAC. Reads: "You need a newer version of Pages to open this document.". But I have the latest!

Help - I cant get the docs I created in pages on my ipad to open on my MAC. I've used iCloud, emailed to myself - all I get is "You need a newer version of Pages to open this document.". But my MAC has the newer version!

I have Pages for iOS 2.0.1 on my iPad and Pages '09 (4.3) on my Macbook Pro.
I haven't upgraded anything in the past few months. Still on OS 10.8.5.
Suddenly, something has changed.
If I open a new Pages doc on my iPad and later try to open it on my Mac, I get the error message saying I need a newer version of Pages.
Also, if I open an existing doc on the iPad (one that I've worked on repeatedly from both devices) I get the same message. A couple did open, but only if I hadn't touched them on the iPad. Anything opened today on the iPad won't open on the Mac.
I can open and edit these docs in the Pages beta at www.icloud.com but not on my Mac.
I don't want Mavericks and a new version of Pages now (I'm in the middle of a major project and have learned not to make major upgrades until major things are finished).
For now, the best I can do is open docs in iCloud, copy all, and paste into a new Word doc. Yes, back to Word. Thought I was finished with Microsoft.
Is there a better solution?
