I cant hear rings with 4s, after ios 5.1 update

Hi all
I have an iphone 4s, and I have used for 15 days.
I had very happle when using phone with ios 5.0.1, and no problem. rings sound was very high.
but when I have updated to ios 5.1, I was very sad. because when my friends call me, I cant hear rings. rings sound is very very low.
I tried all of solves, back up, restore, but I cant solved problem.
Now I cant hear calls.
thanks to apple, iphone has vibration and when call coming, phone vibrates. and I talk with my friends.
please help me.

Here's my post of what worked for me:
"So, a hard reset didn't work for me, neither did reset all settings.
After Macteen's comment I did two more hard resets, and it brought back Siri's sound, but still no app sounds.
So I did an 'erase everything' and restore. That worked. All sounds are back. It was a bit of a pain - especially since I don't normally sync apps on this phone (my iPad and my wife's iPhone also hook up to this computer, and we don't want to 'cross-polinate' apps), but it worked... better than exchanging for a new one."

Issue with 3G after iOS 6.1 update

After updating to the ios 6.1, my iphone automatically switches from 3G to EDGE and stays that way till I manually re-register on the network. Is there any fix for this?

As per your query i can suggest you the following-
1) Add the AirTunes service to the list of services available for mDNS snooping. To do this go to Controller-->mDNS--->general and select AirTunes from the dropdown.
Flexconnect (previously known as HREAP) does fix the bonjour mdns for remote branch offices and other vlan's where you want bonjour to be running.
You only have to flexconnect the wired and wireless WLAN SSID where you need it as the rest of the SSID's can be centrally switched WLAN"s and they work quite nicely.
2) Add the AirTunes service to the appropriate mDNS profiles in your controller, in my case I just use the default profile. To do this go to Controller-->mDNS--->Profiles and add the Airtunes service to each profile you may have configured
The problem with AirPlay is that it depends exclusively on multicast DNS (shortened as mDNS) with DNS service discovery (DNS-SD) to operate. mDNS is a zero configuration protocol that relies on link-local multicast messages on the local LAN to publish DNS records without the need for a centralized DNS server. DNS-SD is a protocol that compliments mDNS and provides service discovery, too. Apple's implementation of mDNS/DNS-SD is called Bonjour.
Aerohive indicates that these Bonjour gateways can also filter mDNS messages, which sounds somewhat useful

IPhone is not syncing with iTunes after iOS 7.1 update

I have an iPhone 4S and an iPad 2, and neither of them will sync my new music from iTunes after updating both of them to iOS 7.1. When I press sync on my computer, the steps start at the top of iTunes, but then it just finishes before it actually starts writing the names of individual songs like it would normally do when syncing. It is as there is no music to be synced but there is. Please help!!

You've tried the following procedure?
Turn your device off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your device and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a device in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
If this still doesn't work, you should make an appointment at the Genius Bar to have your device evaluated.

My iHome no longer works with iPhone 4s after iOS 6.1 update. Prompts message 'This accessory is not supported by iPhone'. Has anyone come accross this and is there a fix?

Ring up iHome and ask them for a fix... And if they cant supply you with a fix... Then you should be entitled to a replacement or a upgrade, as firmware upgrades on your ios device should not affect audio products......

Trouble with wifi after IOS 6 upgrade

I have an iPhone 4 and successfully installed iOS 6 today. I am having trouble getting on my home wifi. When asked to join my network, I click on it and type in my password. Shortly after typing in my correct password an apple.com login page loads from the bottom of the iPhone but says "hmm, the page you're looking for cant be found". The only option I have is to push cancel and then it ends my wifi connection with my own home network. Help please.

Hey there Goesdhar,
It sounds like you are not getting sounds from your receiver on your phone. I recommend the troubleshooting from the followint article named:
iPhone: Receiver and call audio quality issues

Increase the volume during the call.
Make sure nothing is blocking the receiver. If you're using a protective case or display film, remove it and try again.
Make sure nothing is plugged into the headphone jack or the dock connector.
Check the receiver opening to see if it is clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush.
Try another location with better signal. If the audio issue happens only when on a call, it could be due to the location.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or a car kit, try turning off Bluetooth on your device. Learn more about troubleshooting Bluetooth connections.
Restart the iPhone.
Make sure your device is up to date.
If the issue is not resolved after restoring the iPhone software, contact Apple Support.

Problems after iOS 6.0 update with iMessage and FaceTime

After iOS 6.0 update i had problems to used iMessage and FaceTime

Messages will almost send but stop right before completion. FaceTime will go through only after multiple attempts. After that iMessage will work for a little while. Have talked with folks at apple support but they did not have a solution. Have tried both closing out the programs as well as turning the iPod off and back on. Neither has solved the problem. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks for your help.

Can't connect ad-hoc network after IOS 8.2 update

This is my first post on Apple Discussion so please ignore grammatically and other mistakes if i made.
I am using iPhone 5S 32 GB factory unlocked and working very well in INDIAN network. I use to connect ad-hoc network created on my Window 7 Desktop via Wifi Surf-n-share Belkin USB. It is working very well and connected always until i updated IOS 8.2.
After IOS 8.2 updates, iphone couldn't connect ad-hoc network.
Is there any bug for this issue or security update.??
Help would be really appreciated.

No sound after IOS 4.1 update

I really hope someone can suggest a solution. I updated my iPhone 3G to IOS 4.1 earlier today and since the I have lost all sound - no keyboard clicks, music or alerts. Has anyone else experienced this and could you offer a suggestion?

No sound for my iPhone 3G after iOS 4.1 update! Restored back to 3.1.2. Still no sound! (befor the 4.1 update, everything was fine).
Then I reset all settings, sound came back. But then iPhone started to freeze randomly, with increasing frequency to the point I needed to restore again. This time back to iOS 4.1. And guess what - no sound! Resetted all settings. Still no sound.
Key points:
* sound loss is software issue that came with iOS 4. (i was able to get sound back after settings reset but only on iOS 3.1)
* iOS 4.1 makes iPhone unstable both on 4.1 and earlier versions.
* restore has no effect (I never restored from backup, started as a fresh phone)
* iOS 4.1 destroys your iPhone 3G

i solved my problem. i refer my iphone 5 to a local distributor. a repairman checked my iphone and i described my problem. he checked my battery. it was fine! then after an hour excavation around hardware solution he told me that the charging kit crashed because of heavy mobility usage!
yes. i did not covered my phone with any cover. the cpu pressure by ios update crashed the kit! now my phone get back after the kit changed and work finally. i restored my phone to ios 8.2 now.
i'm going to buy new iphone. but i'm really confused if such this issue really happened for iphone 6 too!!!!!

I would make sure you are using an Apple branded cable with your iPad. If you are, the troubleshooting steps in the article below may help. The steps listed below for the iPhone and iPod still apply to your iPad.
Resolving issues
If your battery doesn't charge, or if your device shows a low-battery image, black screen, or "accessory not supported" alert, follow these steps.
Inspect the connector at the bottom of the phone:
Make sure that there are no bent pins in the connector.
Make sure that the connector is free from debris.
If there are bent pins or debris, please contact Apple Support.
Otherwise, continue troubleshooting.
Make sure that the outlet you're using works.
Make sure that the Apple USB cable and Apple USB power adapter work.
Plug the device in to power and let it charge for up to 30 minutes. If you don't have an Apple USB power adapter, try connecting to a computer's high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be on.
If the device still exhibits an issue, try turning your device off and then on again while connected to power.
If the issue is persists, please contact Apple Support.

after ios 7.1 update the iphone 5s calendar not accept entries but will accept entries from sync with outlook connection via my MS desktop outlook

So, sometimes you discover a "fix" totally by accident. I tried the following and it's worked for me 100% of the time so far. Any entries I make using this have appearded on my iPhone and on any device where I view my calendar. Hope this helps others:
Open your calendar and then view it in the "month view";
Tap the hybrid view icon which is at the top to the left of the search icon at the top right of the screen; you'l see a list of the days activities at the the bottom of the screen.
Now, tap the "+" icon at the top to the right of the search icon. This will allow you to type in the event, time, date, etc that you want to enter.
Click "done" at the top right when finished. Now, you should see the event that you just entered at the bottom of the screen under the days activities. That should "stick" even if you close the calendar, or whatever. When I checked, it also showed up as it should on other devices. You can edit events, delete them, etc--it's worked for me.
I'm not sure why this worked--or what it's the only way to be able to enter an event since the move to iOS 7.1--but it's working for me--so why ask why??
