  • How to install Adobe Application Manager?

How to install Adobe Application Manager? I downloaded it, but can't install.
Just purchased the CC for photographers.  Have been using Photoshop since version 3.
I have been studying your support docs for several days and have no business messing around with something called, .gz files and installation logs. Totally unsuccessful "Updating" my CS6 or CS6 bridge or Extension Manager or the Adobe Support Advisor by the CC Desktop.
Have no Photoshop CS6 because I followed your CC support instructions.
Uninstalled my CS6 today so I can finish a job tomorrow.  Bad decision on my part because I can't reinstall it and am unable to correct
    this problem.
I was able to use CC to update LR, but am absolutely too afraid to touch it now.
I have been waiting inline for Chat also, but the numbers ahead of me are going up.
If someone in this Community forum can help me, it would be fabulous.
    Thanks very much.

    Uninstalled Creative Cloud.
Downloaded it again - 4th time.
Deleted a AAMDetect file from the Library/Internet Plug-ins
Downloaded and installed Adobe App Manager and an icon for it is on my Desktop
    Installed Creative Cloud.
    OK.
Now how do get my Photoshop CS6 back before I download Photoshop CC?
CS6 is not listed in the available Apps in the CC Desktop.
Support wait time right now is 2 hours by phone.
After sitting on Chat yesterday only to see the people "waiting ahead of me" go from 17 to 18, I gave up.
    Please advise.
    Thanks again.

  • In Windows 7 I mistakenly un-installed Adobe Application Manager and all applications (CS3E, CS5 and Elements 6) have disappeared from programs on the start menu

WIN7: Mistakenly un-installed Adobe Application Manager and now all Adobe apps (CS3, CS5 and Elements 6) have disappeared from the programs list in the start up menu.
CS5 Bridge is still there so I can get into the photo editor to de-activate it and re-install.
However, all of CS3 has disappeared so I cannot get into it to de-activate.
Question 1: Will downloading and re-installing Adobe Application manager get CS3 automatically back?
Question 2: If not, what to do to get CS3 back things working properly again? Remember, I can't de-activate it.
Thanks and have a happy day!

Don't worry about activation unless you are installing on a new and different machine. Simply reinstall in order. It should all work.
Then install any updates. Product updates
After that, let me know how it went and if there are any further questions.

  • Cant run adobe application manager

I am trying to run adobe application manager and cant ecause it wants me to logi to adobe avccount and keeps saying it cant access the iinternet to logion/  I am logged in without problejm  Whe I tried to chat with tech another adibe pprobken started =  I kept being bkoked friom te chat window whe Rea;l PLayer kept opening and trying ti uopdate  I checked and saw that it had sonehow gotten itslef enabke because I DID HAVE  a problem with it and it was disabked ]  I disav=bled the tealplayerb again but it continued to open to update. The tech said it had something to do with flash player II have installed.  I tried to download a new installation of fashbut it took so long to gt it to not gwet interrupted bt=that it would =not yun the install filefor flash.  I am out of optiuions   I could try tio dowload realplayer agan but it seemed fkash was the culprit since reqalpolayer is also mad with flash  What sgiyks I do?  Uninstalll realplayer?  Uninstall Flash if possible:?  Downloadingand reinstalling flash player seems to be impossible here as it timews oyut because the fash realplayrer stops it and adibe stopsb the download or the instll of new flash player.  I seem to be caught in a catch 22.

Thank you for answering. I somehow did this and it worked. I don't know if I saw it here because it says message not seen.
I actually came to this window (inbox) when searching for another simple task that doesn't seem to have an answer that works. I really hope you can help me.
I just saw an answer u posted today. I never received a notice that it was here. Today, Adobe finally got revel fixed and I looked carefully at my account. When the app first opens in revel, I see briefly a few of the photos added from iphone. I then came to adoberevel.com to see if possible to upload from computer using just some type of add photos button in revel. I searched help and got an answer saying to click add
    Qoute from answer:
"To add photos to your Revel account, just click "Add Photos" to upload or drag and drop the files from your computer.
To add your images to an Album
    1. Click on "Select Photos" then select your images
    2. Then click "Add to Album" & choose the album that you want to add your images to."
I searched every part of revel and cannot find any button anywhere to "add photos." I next tried the next answer to add inages to an album.  I created a new album and did see the note in center of album screen which says "add photos or videos to this album."  The link you need to click to do this does not work. I've been at this for hours, first spending a lot of time trying to get revel app to open, trying to find photos that show in browser in computer but not only fly by me and ultimately coming to computer to try to upload photos and nothing the support answer says actually exist or are functioning. on the computer revel site. This makes it impossible to buy a subscription which I want to do but this is really becoming too time consuming to continue.
Maybe the last resort answer will actualy exist, there is mention of using Photoshop or Elements to do  this. I have both programs installed but do not know how to  do this and again the support answer stops just short of telling enough to be able to do this.
I'm sorry to have to bother you with such a basic question. My real preference is to be able to just click add photos and as all programs do, the small window opens to select photos.
    Thank you very much.
My email address in case you can let me know when you have the answer posted is: [email protected]

  • Installing Adobe Application Manager

I have purchased the CLoud suite.  I downloaded the Adobe Application Manager from the website.  It failed to install.  I was able to locate a 6.2 version and was able to successfully install.  HOwever, now when I run the Adobe Application Manager I get a Download Error,  Please contact customer support.  THis is a new Windows 8 Pro platform.  I had the same problem on a Windows XP Pro platform.  I need a solution to this problem ASAP.  I am paying for product and getting nothing in return.

I had downloaded directly.  However, what I am now noticing is that when I am logged into domain on PC - download manager fails.  When I am logged into local machine, the download manager works.  Something funky with domain permissions.  Either way - I am now successfully downloading software.  Thank you though for your response

  • Encounted an issue attempting to install Adobe Application Manager after purchasing monthly sub.

Just signed up to adobe cloud two days ago, but wasn't able to start installing the Application manager till today. The application downloads to my desktop fine, but when I try to open EXE file, I get this has an error message:
    WE'VE ENCOUNTERED THE FOLLOWING ISSUES:
THE REMOTE SERVER IS NOT RESPONDING IN A PROPER MANNER. PLEASE RETRY IN A FEW MINUTES.
So, I waited about an hour. Clicked on "retry" same error message appears.
I'm running off of Windows XP Pro.
I've downloaded a free trial of AI, and even checked to see if Adobe download assistant worked and it did abd I've never encountered this issue before.
So, I'm not to sure what is going on. Is there a way I can download programs individually without having to download the application manager? Or am I missing something.
    Thank you for your assistance!

  • Windows 8: Unable to install Adobe Application Manager or Download any Creative Cloud Aoos

I just got my creative cloud subscription, and when the Apps page launched, I was not able to install the Adobe Application Manager.  Windows 8 pops up a Launch Application window and it wants me to find the appropriate application to open the Adobe Creative Cloud Client with.
I am doing this in Firefox.  I have added creative.adobe.com to my trusted sites and it still does not work.  What do I have to do to all using in Firefox?  What about Chrome?

You can install the Adobe Application Manager for Windows from this link http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773.

  • Cannot get Acrobat to install, Adobe Application Manager is not working!?

How do I get Acrobat to install properly? Each time I try, I get the Adobe Application Manager:
cannot select anything in the upper drop down. and if I click accept….nothing happens!

    Hi Shotgun981,
Adding to what Jeff & Sheena shared, have you got any other product installed on this machine? Is that working fine ? Can you please navigate to the below mentioned location and advice if that worked for you or not.
    Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLStore
Rename the above mentioned folder to SLStore_old and try and launch Acrobat . If this doesn't work , please make sure that we have full permissions on the folder mentioned in the kb article. (Note: this Kb article is only for sharing the location and the actual problem is not described in it)

  • Unable to install Adobe Application Manager

I get this before install starts:
Other Instances of Adobe Application Manager are currently running which must be closed before installing this product, Please close or wait for them to complete
But as far as I can tell there are no other versions running
Since I can not get it install nothing else is downloadable

    Hi,
I had exactly the same problem but with Windows 7 64 bit so I'm not sure this will work with Win 8 but see if it helps.
    1. Boot into Safe Mode
    2. Locate OOBE folder using search. In my copy of Win 7 it's C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
3 Rename OOBE folder to OOBEold
    4 Reboot normally
5 Download Application Manager from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
6 Locate download and run install
7 Application Manager Installs!!!! (We hope :-) )

    Hi,

  • Cannot install Adobe Application Manager

When I install this, I first get an error saying another instance is already running.  The installation then proceeds and goes through the motions installation but at the then, I get an error saying "Adobe Application Manager failed to install".  I've combed through my Windows Task Manager for things like "PDApp.exe" and "setup.exe" but I couldn't find any.  I have a bazillion processes running and I don't have time to go through each one trying to figure out which is the right one.  How do I install the Application Manager?  It seems like all the CC apps needs the updated version of Adobe Application Manager in order to install.

Problem resolved.  I called the 800 # and spoke with a technical support person in India.  The steps to resolve were to rename the directory paths (2 of them) that pointed to the old Adobe Application Manager, then download the Adobe Cleaner Tool and use it to remove the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App.  I logged off and then logged back in and re-downloaded the Creative Cloud Application manager and I was able to download (finally) Photoshop CC.
The old Adobe Application Manager came with my CS6 installation.  It was probably running but it did not show up in the Windows Task Manager as either an application, process, or service.  It also could be be uninstalled through Control Panels without having to remove CS6 altogether.
