Alyssa, let me make a suggestion for posting, then we will tackle your problem. If you forget somethig when you post, you may go back & edit the post withing 30 minutes after posting by clicking on the "edit" icon. That way, you don't have to do a huge number of separate post like you have done & the person who is helping you doesn't get hammered with a separate e-mail each time you re-post.
Your import settings are fine, they are the settings that Apple suggests. From your posts, it sounds like you may have already restored your Nano trying to fix this problem I would like for you to restore your Nano one more time, but follow the instructions on the link below when you do your restore. Once the Nano has been restored back to factory settings, let's see if you can get some more music on to it.

Cannot fit any more songs

My default reads on the bottom 603 songs 1.7 days, 2.68 GB.
Above that it says used 3.76 GB, free 2.5 MB. It is a Ipod mini, holds 1000 songs or 4 GB. I cannot load any more songs into it, any suggestions? I have deleted them and tried over with different ones. Thanks, Stevez!

This seems to happen from time to time. I have not read a good explanation, but I suspect that the iPod's operating system isn't the best at memory management.
These are the ‘standard’ fist steps to this type of issue:
First, make sure that you have emptied the Recycle Bin or the ‘Trash’ when the iPod is connected and seen by the computer.
Then try Resetting Your iPod to correct this problem. It may take several attempts.
If that does not solve the problem, then Restore Your iPod (as b suggested) and reload the music back onto the iPod, from your iTunes.

Can't copy any more songs to my ipod from itunes - says its full but i have deleted heaps off my ipod to make room!

I can not seem to add any more songs to my ipod. Normally i just click and drag songs i have highlighted in my itunes folders up to the Administrators' ipod and it puts a copy there in my ipod. however i keep getting a message saying there is not enough room . . . and so can't add another song. I have deleted heaps of songs off my ipod to ensure sufficient room for these new songs i want to load but i keep failing - why would that be? Is the space not freeing up when i delete exiting music off my ipod for some reason - or any other reason?

Try rebooting your iPod with it still connected to iTunes. To do this, press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
How exactly are you deleting this tracks from the iPod?

yesterday when i added some songs onto my ipod in itunes, it said the songs were there. i ejected my ipod and my songs werent there, i tried again and again and it still didnt work! it said C:\something itunes was unreadable or corrupted... i cant add any songs to my ipod, yet itunes says its there and i tried pressing update too......it keeps doin this every day.....anyone want to help? or have any information from previous experiences? please help!!

it gives the error message about fixing permissions. i have done that. many times.
it also says to deauthorize/authorise but ofcourse i cant do that.
i have deleted all ref to iTunes in keychain and all apple IDs. and recreated them all. still no go.
since iTunes 8 there really are so many problems...

Cant load my nano songs back into computer

I had a hard drive loss on my wind 2000 xp.my i pod still has all 475 songs on it but want to upload these on my program rather than losing them all.what next?

You can't sync or drag your non iTMS music back directly from an iPod to iTunes. The transfer of non iTMS content is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod, the transfer of purchased tracks has recently been introduced with iTunes 7. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward. As iTunes 7 is just out some of these may not have caught up with it yet though I haven't experienced any problems with the Mac software I use.

If your iPod is set to update automatically take care when connecting back to your computer and an empty iTunes. You will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press *No* (or "Cancel" if you are using iTunes 7). Pressing "Yes" (or Erase and Sync in iTunes 7) will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. In iTunes 7 Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Don't uncheck Sync Music it will be unchecked by default when you choose the manual setting: Managing content manually on iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up in case you have problems again. External drives are comparatively inexpensive these days and you can get loads of storage for quite a small outlay.

Cant get any more than 8 outputs in Logic 8.0.2 - I 've 16 outs in Protools

I have the following config . . .
Pro Tools HD connected to Apogee AD 16 X with X card (or whatever its called !)
Also have apogee DA 16X
In Protools I can access all my 16 Outputs on the channels no probs
Whereas with Logic 8.02 - I cant access all my outputs - only 1-8.
I have tried Audio midi Setup. No joy.
Any ideas how I can create more outputs?

i dont have digidesign hardware other than the HD 3. The Apogee connects directly to the HD card via digilink cable.
I have 16 analogue outputs with the Apogee DA 16X but can only select 1-8 outputs using digicore audio driver. In PT's I can select all 16 outputs. It has nothing to do with the mono or stereo outputs for those who were asking.
I heard that Digidesign might limit the number of outputs to 8 using the digicore audio driver.
Hi - I have the following setup.
Intel Dual Core Xeon 3 GHz
Protools 7.4
Logic 8.0.2
OSX 10.4.9
Protools HD 3 connected to Apogee AD16x (via Digilink) and then to Apogee DA16X.
In Preferences - Audio I have selected TDM driver Only. I am not getting any sound. When it plays an error message comes up 'Error while trying to synchronize Audio and MIDI'
I can get sound using Digicore Audio but am limited to 8 outputs and cannot use my TDM.
Does anybody have a similar setup working? Any ideas on how to get it working?

Cant load any projects in RoboHelp 6

Hi,
I have downloaded a trial of RoboHelp 6, no projects will
load either the shipped ones or our X5 ones.
I have tried deleting the CPD file, still the same problem.
I have also tried deleting the .XPJ file, but then get
"Unable to create database, Check that the directory is not read
only"
I am logged on as an Administrator of this PC and have full
rights.
Anyone have any ideas?

to occur. I do have a few questions that may help us narrow down
this issue:
1) What was the original error message when the project
failed to launch?
2) Where is this project stored?
3) If the project is not stored locally, can you reproduce
this behavior once you copy it locally?
4) Do you get this database error when attempting to delete
the .xpj, or when trying to rebuild the .xpj?
5) What are the exact NTFS permissions on the folder? I
understand that you said you have admin rights, but I want to
clarify these settings.
6) If it is on a network resource, what are the share
permissions on that directory?

Migration XP- Windows 7 DLL can't be loaded any more

We have a Teststand sequence which uses a Labwindows CVI generated 32bit DLL called sensor.dll for doing its measurements
This works fine under XP using TestStand 4.2.1. However starting the same sequence using the same sensor.dll  with  TestStand 4.2.1 on windows 7 64bit generates a -17004 error when trying to load that DLL.  During the first try it complained that msvcr90.dll is missing despite the MSVC++2008 runtime is installed in winsxs directory. If I copy  msvcr90.dll into a directory within ( directory search ) PATH, the messages about missing msvcr90.dll disappears, but the DLL still can't be loaded from TestStand ( without any hint to a missing dll) .
Looking at sensor.dll with Dependency Walker shows only two missing delay-load dependencies (on XP to IESHIMS.dll and WER.dll, on Windows 7 to IESHIMS.dll and gpsvc.dll). I couldn't find any 32bit version of gpsvc.dll for windows7 so far, but that shouldn't matter because that's just a delay-load dependency.
The dependency to msvcr90.dll is brought in by another dll, which was build with MSVC++2008 and we checked the Manifest of that DLL and couldn't find an error.
The problem also exists with TestStand2012.
Ny questions are now: Why do I need to copy msvcr90.dll from its standard location in winsxs to another location on windows 7 but not on XP ? Any ideas what's going wrong when loading the dll on Windows 7 and how to debug that further ?

How can I verify that the matching version for the MSVC++9.0 run time is installed ?

And looking into the dll, which introduces the dependency to msvcr90.dll that dll includes a embedded manifest section with exactly the same values for name,version,processorArchitecture and publickeyToken.
So it looks for me that there is the matching version of msvc++ runtime installed ( with the installer , not by just copying it)

I used to be able to plug my ipod into any mac computer and get whatever songs were on there. Ive noticed the last few times I tried it asked if i want to erase all my songs. i obviously immeditate canceled that out.
Are they doing something different now?

With your iPod connected to your Mac (iTunes 6), go to iTunes>Preferences>iPod>Music.
Have you selected "Automatically update all songs and playlists?" Doing so keeps your iPod and any connected computer's iTunes collections identical. If a song exists on the iPod but you have deleted it from the Mac, this setting will erase the missing song from the iPod. In fact, it will erase everything on your iPod that is not on the computer, plus add the "new" songs from the connected computer in order to make the content identical. Bad news. Deselect this and choose instead "Manually manage songs and playlists."
