I cant load ITunes

Hello!
I got an IPOD Nano for xmas and cannot get the software to load.
I'm running Windows 2000 on an IBM T20.
I have installed the SP4 pack.
I have updated the Install driver.
I do not have any virus protection added.
I am the administrator.
The installer program gets as far as getting my registration details then it hangs up on itunes + quicktime!
I have had to ctrlaltdel to clear the installation (after waiting 20 mins). On the most recent attempt the following code was published which I am unsure if this is realted to the fault or the boot out!
error no: 0X80040707
Description:DLL Function Call Crash: QTInstallCode.QuickTimePreInstallPro.
Any help by anyone would be greatly appreciated.

If you are not seeing the "Security Tab" in Win 2000 then that means the hard drive is formatted with FAT 32 instead of NTFS.
Formatting with FAT32 disables the security features of Win 2000.
You can covert your C: drive to NTFS by using the command promt.
Do this: Click on your "Start" button, then click on "Run"
Type in CMD then hit enter. A command promt window will open.
In the command promt window type in convert C: /FS:NTFS paying attention to the space. Or you can copy and paste it from here.
Hit the enter or return key and it will covert your format to NTFS without harming any of your files.
After the conversion you will have the security tab in your properties for your C: drive and all folders and files on your C: drive.

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Restart the PC, and try another install. Does it go through properly this time?

Loading Itunes on to my computer

I get the message "Could not open key; HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel." when i am trying to load Itunes to my computer, i am set as administrator, and have updates done, but cant load Itunes, can anyone please advise/help

When you buy your new iMac you will be able to have the installation process transfer all your applications, data (including music, pictures, documents, etc) and settings to your new computer. In the past that was done via Firewire. I'm not entirely sure of the process with the new iMacs that don't have firewire. I think it can be done via ethernet and probably via tha thunderbolt cord using a firewire adapter but you'll want to check that out.
    With the your new computer properly connected to your old computer, the initial booting of the new computer will include the ability to move everything over.
    If for some reason you don't want to do that (smart if you have some horrible software issue that is causing problems) you can connect your old computer to the new one and start it in Target Disk mode where it will be seen as a hard drive. You can then manually copy over all your music and import that into iTunes (and any other data you want).
    Somebody here will surely point you to directions for connecting an older iMac with no Thunderbolt to a newer iMac with no Firewire.

I pruchased two movies on itunes and for some odd reason i cant load them on my ipad...I have the latest versions of Ios6 and the latest itunes , but the rest of my older movies on itunes i can still load(remove and reload on the ipad). please help!!

For some reason I cant update my itunes from a 6.0 to the new 7.0. Everytime that I try to install the new itunes, it says "The folder path 'Program Files' contain an invalid character." So then I tried uninstalling itunes but then another message pops up that says "Error 1324. The path Program Files contains an Invalid Character." Can you please help me resolve my problem because I just got a shuffle and I cant load songs onto it without itunes. Thanks alot.

hmmm. has the drive letter of the drive on which your Program files folder is stored changed recently? (that can sometimes provoke a 1324 like this.)

Cant download iTunes 10.5.3

I cant get my laptop to load iTunes 10.5.3. Each time it stops downloading stating 'Error writing to file C:\Programfiles\iTunes\iTunes.Resources\de.lproj/StoreGetButton.png Verify that you have access to that directory.'

And when i tried download the 10.6.1 it still said Error and a big long list of letters and cancelled.
I'd like to have a closer look at that error message please.
Generate the error message again. While the error message box is open, hold down the Alt key and hit the PrtSc key. Paste the screenshot into an image file (using a program like Paint), and save the file.
Start a reply here and click the wee camera icon at the top of the reply window. Click "Choose file", browse to the image file, select the file and click "Open". Now click "Insert file" to insert the screenshot into the reply.

Loaded itunes 10.6 to new Windows 7 and get black screens in Stores. Albume covers are OK but all print is very light gray that cannot be read.

Cant load photos to Ipod----Vista issue?

I've searched tons of threads and forums with no answer to my problem.
Got a new Ipod(30 gig w/video) and HAD to buy a new computer to even use the Ipod.(even though old machine met min specs)
No problems with music but I cant load photos I've managed to get one or two to load after 20+ tries , but they've been corrupted and of those attempts that did work(sorta) only 3 or 4 of about 20 pics transfered?
so my questions are
1- do I HAVE to use Adobe photoshop? other App.s work?
2-I'm not getting the "optimizing" message,is there a box I need to tick for this?
3- do photos have to be sized down or at a certain res. to trasnsfer clean?
4- Is this a Vista problem or Itunes 7.2 or what?
and the rhetorical question-how can either of these companies put this stuff on the market with all these problems people are having? I see tons of people having real problems its not all idiots that dont know how to read instructions! GRRRR this stuff makes me mad.

1. no , you don't need photoshop
2. ok , ive got mine up right now . click on the " photos "
on the upper screen , just to the right of center . check the " sync photos fron; " box and extend the box next to it where it says " pictures " and use " chose folder " to find where you want to get the photos from . at the bottom of the screen , theres a " include full resolution photos " box , i check it , then click apply and it should work !
thats what i did. and i just redid it just to make sure .

What is important is how much free storage you have on your iPad not how much storage you have on iCloud ( which must be 17.2 GB of 25 GB).
Look in Settings > General > Usage > Storage
