I cant locate the facetime app on my phone
Is is possible to delete the FaceTime app from the phone? For the life of me I can't find it on my phone anymore.
There is no FaceTime app on an iPhone. To get to FaceTime. Go to contacts, select the person that you want to FaceTime, and scroll down to the bottom of the contact. There will be a button that you can press that says FaceTime. Click on the button and this time whoever you wanted to.

The information detailed below can help you locate Facetime.
If you can't use FaceTime or find the FaceTime app, follow these steps. FaceTime might not be available, or might become unavailable, on devices purchased or used in certain countries, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Check your device's region of purchase for more information.
In Settings > General > Restrictions, make sure FaceTime and Camera are on. Disabling Camera also disables FaceTime.
Update to the latest version of iOS.
Restore your device:
Back up your device to iCloud or iTunes.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase all user data from your device.
When complete, set up your device by selecting your region and language, then restore your data using the iCloud or iTunes backup. When you set up and restore a backup from iTunes, make sure that your computer's language, country, date, and time are set correctly.
If you still can't find the FaceTime app, see if you can go to Settings > FaceTime. If Settings > FaceTime is present, try using the Spotlight Search to find the FaceTime app.

I bought an ipod touch 5 from Dubai carrefour. Th seller told me that the ipod that ı bought has a facetime . But when ı want to activate ipod ı couldnt see the facetime app. Please show me how ı could activate facetime.
If FaceTime is not hidden by Restrictions (Settings>General<Restrictions) you got duped. iPods officially sold in Dubai and some other countries that prohibit FT do not have FT and there is not way to get FT on those iPods.

Why aren't apple doing something to sort this out, there is obviously something wrong as so many people seem to be having the same or very similar problems, I was about to buy the facetime app for my mac but not sure I should now
Come on apple, no use sticking your head in the sand, get it sorted.
After all, you are quite happy to take peoples money for your app, the least you can do is to ensure it works.Backing up and restoring is not the same as downgrading.
Apple have stopped signing 5.1.1 which is why you can't downgrade. -
The facetime app won't let me sign in anymore. I've been using it fine since Christmas, I haven't used my iPod Touch for about 2 weeks and now when I try to sgn in I get the message 'an error occurred during the activation, try again' what should I do?
After reading some posts, I see that it is cause by the date and time changing. I reset these ad now Facetime works OK

I cant get the calendar app to sync any calendars.
I just got my Droid 2 and I am trying to set up my calendars like I had in my old phone but I cant get the calendar app to sync to my only gmail account's calendars. When I try to sync it just brings me to a page that says I can sync contacts and mail but not calendars. Can someone tell me what Im doing wrong?
Just checking:
When you go to: calendar > menu > more > calendars there are no calendars listed that are "synced, visible" ?
And My Accounts > gmail "account" > Sync Calendar does not exist?
Are you logged into your gmail account? And can receive email? -
I'm helping a friend with a new 4S iPhone. He's converting from an old 3GS. We've gone throughout the activation, update to iOS 5.0.2 and restored. Now I'm surprised to find that the Facetime app is not on his new 4S iPhone. How do we fix this?
I would suggest you read the user guide. There IS no Facetime App for the iPhone.

Check settings an make sure FaceTime is turned on and addresses are configured (Settings app > FaceTime)
Check all of your home screens and folders. It could have been inadvertantly moved (you can also use Spotlight search to check fior it: Swipe down form the home screen. This will also let you know it it is in a folder) -

Now that I have the Messages beta that uses FaceTime, do I still need the FaceTime app?
So the new Messages beta is out, and I have it downloaded. From what I understand, it's an all in one, for texts, IMs, and FaceTime together. Does this incorporate FaceTime by itself? Or do I still need to keep the FaceTime app around? Or can I delete it?
When you install it, it will remove iChat, but not FaceTime. I suspect it uses components of FaceTime that you'll need, whereas it completely replaces what iChat does, so you no longer need iChat itself.
