I cant log in or download updates or apps from app store
This is a brand new 27 iMac. I already created an apple id and password. It works fine when I log in and it works to enter Apple Support Communities. I am trying to apply the Mavericks upgrade but when the sign in required prompt pops up I enter my password and nothing happens. The sign in but stays selected and I hit enter a few times and it disappears. I try to download the update and the sign in required prompt keeps popping up. It has been doing this since I first tried to download the Caffeine app. I tried to re boot and I am still having the same issue. I am unable to log in and download any updates or apps. What can I do to fix this?

What are you blaming Apple? If FB worked before and now it doesn't, maybe it is the developers fault.
FWIW, I just updated facebook and I am able to get into my account. Try to uninstall and reinstall your apps. -
Updated to IOS 6 on IPad 2 and it has downloaded the US App Store and ITunes and replaced the UK one so can't use it how do I switch but to the UK store?

That indicates that you have apps that need updating that were purchased with the account that comes up. When you have apps that need updating that were purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until all the remaining apps were purchased by one account.
You have to log into the account that purchased an app in order to update it. -
Does anyone know how to resolve the problem of apps not being able to download in the App Store? After the IOS 6 update I haven't been able to download any apps.

I have an Iphone 5 6.01. I have a notice on my app store that I have an update. Tried to update, but it won't. Connected to Itunes and tried to download update for App. I can't do that either. It won't let me update any of the apps. What is wrong?
My husband and I are using the same iTunes account on all mac & pc computers, but the libraries are different on each machine. We always manually manage our music (no auto sync). iTunes is up to date on the PCs. My husband uses our joint iTunes account on his pc, but once again, has a different collection in his library from those on the other machines. He can't load any music from his PC to his iphone 4. I can load music from my mac library to my iphone 4s, but cannot load from my pc library to my iphone 4s. How can I switch my main library that it syncs with from the mac to the pc?

For the 2nd day my iPhone 5 will not let me download updates for apps. I've tried selecting each to click off wait, and have selected new updates indvidually instead of all together. Also have shut the phone down and have even deleting the apps completely and re-downloaded but to no avail. Each app continues to sit on my screen with the line below as if it is about to download but never does, and now any apps I've tried to updated will not let me use them.
Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

Aftr converting to Mavericks could not able to update/download applications through spp store and have to force quit app store as the mouse does not click the X button
Do you get any error messages?
Try resetting the App Store.
Reset Learned from Old Toad
Try deleting the com.apple.appstore.plist.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

Just bought a new iPhone and am having trouble with iTunes and App Store. I can log in to Cloud, iTunes, and app store but once I try to download, it says "Youe apple id has been disabled". I've reset my password three times and have no issue on my Pad.

I have been trying to update via App Store and every time only with apple software it starts to download and it will says it's calculating time remaining then an error message pops up saying " An error has occurred the request timed out. (102)" I have tried everything , I've been told its my ISP but I have tried using differenet internet to attempt the updates. Like I said all other software updates fine its just apple software

However, it won't change in my phone. I changed it in setting, but when it comes to downloading updates for apps or music, it won't update from my old Apple ID. For instance, I had to change my apple ID from (for instance, "[email protected]") to something else ("[email protected]"). I changed it in settings to the new one, but when I go to update apps, my phone is still connected to "[email protected]"
What should I do?In the Finder do a Get Info on one of those files & the folder it's in, report what it says for privileges.
