I was going to download and install a trial version of Adobe Master Collection CS6, however, whenever I try and sign in to the assistant using my email and password, it just hangs at the sign up screen and does nothing. Try disabling it any other security software temporarily until you determine which software is causing your difficulty. Alternately you can also download the install files directly by following the directions listed at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369.

Here's what happens I open adobe download assistant trying to download Adobe After Effects CS5.5 and I sign in I choose the folder for the download and then I wait for it to start downloading and it never does. It stays saying "Sign in with youy Adobe ID to continue"

I am using Windows 7 Home Premuim (64-bit) and had to download to the Desktop as the Adobe Employee stated. For whatever reason, the Adobe trials cannot be downloaded directly to Programs. IDK if this is something that will be fixed in the future? But until that time, Desktop or Users is the best (and conceivably--only) option.

Odonnells52 you will still need to install Adobe Acrobat Professional prior to being able to make edits to PDF or utilize Acrobat. By default the installation files have been saved to your download folder.

You can also download the installation files directly from Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X if you are unable to locate the downloaded installation files.

This was so annoying!! It took me a good couple of hours but i figured it out, you need to do the following: Go to the folder where you saved the download (in my case i saved it in My Downloads) -> click on 'Adobe Photoshop Elements 12' -> click on 'PSE 12' -> click on 'Setup' (select the icon which is a box with a shield) -> follow instructions and....voila! You will need to restart when it suggests so save anything else first, then when it reboots you should see the icon on your desktop....hpe this helps!

Adobe Download Assistant doesn't open

I'm hoping someone can help me. My PC runs Vista. I cannot seem to install a trial version of Acrobat XI. I download the trial, using Chrome, and the Adobe Download Assistant file is shown on my download bar at the bottom of my screen. When I click on it to open and run it, it doesn't open and the file disappears. It doesn't open when I go to my Downloads folder and try to open it from there either. I thought it may be because I don't have an Adobe ID, so I created an account, but that didn't help either. I'm really interested in this software, but if I can't even get it to install, I'm wondering whether Nitro Pro 9 isn't a better bet. Is there anyone who can help me?

I am trying to download Adobe Premiere Elements 12 trial on Windows Vista and I've clicked download. Adobe Download Assistant downloads but will not open. I tried clicking on it it to open, but nothing works. I am pretty sure I have all of the system requirements.

Assistanttolindsey the Adobe Download Assistant will download the installation files for Adobe Acrobat Professional XI. By default they are saved to your download folder. You can begin the installation process from there.

Adobe download assistant won't even open

When trying to download the trial for Creative suite 6- design and media, my adobe download assistant just doesn't start up at all. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling that. I still get the same issue. I get a pop-up asking me to agree to the adobe air licence agreement but after pressing "I Agree", the software quits itself. So I can't even get my downloads to start. Any ideas how I can sort this?

While trying to install the trial version of Adobe Illutratotor, i encounter the problem of adobe download assistant being unresponsive when i try to click accept or even when i try to close the program. The only way to close the program is to close it via ending its process in task manager.
I have tried trying to tab to accept and i can see the outline around the button but nothing happens when i hit enter.
Im using Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit

I read in an adobe community article (link:http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1266865) that to download adobe download assistant you need to click on the trial on the download page of the thing you want to download and then it will open up in the assistant.Except I already tried that and it only opened up in creative cloud.How do I open it up in the assistant.The reason being I want to be able to pause my downloads and you cant do that in creative cloud.

With perpetual product download like CS6 or previous version, the Adobe download assistant is used, with Creative Cloud the CC desktop App is used as interface to download the complete range of products of CC.
In Adobe sites CC desktop download is available for trial too. After the trial if you decide to purchase it then the download has the option to serialize / subscription it .
