I cant open some of the aplication i have

hello i cant open any aplication in my mac. Safari, iphoto, system preference why?

Disconnect all peripherals from your computer. Boot from your install disc & run Repair Disk from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
Select your language.
Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
Select Disk Utility.
Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click First Aid.
Click Repair Disk.
Restart your computer when done.
Repair permissions after you reach the desktop-http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25751 and restart your computer.
Are you now able to open anything?

If it seems like system files are missing and applications are quitting unexpectedly, I'd suggest reinstalling Mavericks:

HT1810 my system cant open some websites that it used to open before i ran the software update

I had the OS X v10.8.3 update pop up and i ran the update. Before then, i had access to all the websites but now i ralised some websites cant open e.g my twitter login on this mac doesnt get to log me in, cant open asos website, the most annoying aspect is that i'm actually developing my website via wix.com but evresince i ran the software update, the editor page of the website via wix just never loads. Initially i thought it was my browser,home network, then i went to the office and tried opening the wix editor html5 on the imac, running on OS X v10.7. and it was same experience. I went further to try opening the wix editor html5 on another desktop in the office windows 7 and it opened. only then did i come to a conclusion that it must be the operating system that is the cause of this. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME OUT...

Mountain Lion introduced Gatekeeper, a security software addition that helps avert issues.
That may be what you're experiencing.

I have a problem... i cant open some apps instagram and some games... somebudy con help me?

When I try to open these apps a message appear saying that the version of the app cannot run with the version of the OS. I cant find them to update, they arent in app store. Even if they were, when I download from app store nothing happens, the download runs well and then nothing happens, the app dont go to where it must be and when I try to open directly from app store nothing happens (finder cant find it).

I don't have a large library of music on my iPhone 4s since I've only had it since Oct 2012, but since the update to iTunes 11 in early December, my album artwork has been all messed up. Now all of the album artwork is correct again. I'm almost afraid to add new music for fear the artwork will get mixed up all over again! I still think my issue is somehow connected to the iTunes 11 update because up until then I had no issues whatsoever. Anyway, thanks for an easy solution that worked for me.

Can't open SOME of the catalogs after changes to OS(XP) (lr 2.1)

After changes to "c:/Documents and Settings" (user name), i can't open some of the catalogs.
There is no error message - nothing happens.
Other catalogs are opened correctly.

Delete your Prefs. file, then launch by clicking directly on each .lrcat you want to launch.

Safari (6.0 on mountain lion) hasn't been loading/opening some of the sites that I....

Ok, I may might as well never think of praising any apple product ever again!! SO the past 4 days safari (6.0 on OS X mountain lion 10.8.1) hasn't been loading/opening some of the sites that I try to go on, for ex.: YouTube, Yahoo ect. However, sites like Facebook, tumblr, twitter, google ect work, so what's the problem?
extra info, I have a mid 2012 MBP, I upgraded to mt. lion in september, so I don't think mt. lion is the problem, but something REAL wacky is going on! Is the flash or java or do i need to delete cookies(what would happen if i delete the cookies)? I have no extenstions by the way .

How come itunes says i cant play some of the music i downlooaded.

I downloaded all my music from cds that i bought and itunes says i cant play some of the music.

What is the exact error messages you are receiving? Are you saying iTunes is unable to play these imported tracks in iTunes?

I can't the songs to play however. This is not true of all of my songs but it is true of quite a few of them. Actually, one song is too many. Presuming they're on your computer, right click on them and then follow the prompts to locate hte file on your computer.

If older photos are missing it may be because photo stream photos are only held in iCloud for 30 days. After that they are removed from iCloud but will remain (up to 1000 photos) on your device until deleted. Also, only photos taken after enabling photo stream are added to your photo stream, and only when the camera is closed, your device is connected to wifi and you have at least 20% battery life remaining.
To transfer the missing photos you can either create a shared photo stream containing them and invite yourself to it (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99), import the photos to your computer and sync them to your iPad, or use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your iPad over wifi.

After restoring my device from backup, some of the apps I have purchased are missing in the purchase list.
It seems that i need to pay for them again in order to purchase.

I've had this happen several times... I suspect the download was interrupted for some unreported reason so it only has a partial file or has a corrupt byte in the file it failed to catch.
Just delete the local copy and re-download from the cloud and they play fine.

Have you tried adjusting the "Audio Out" and the "Dolby Digital" settings in settings > audio and video? It may be worth trying several combinations of these settings, although typically it is the "Dolby Digital" setting that causes most problems for users.
If you are using a sound system/receiver, make sure that you have correctly mapped the input port on your sound system to the output, if you are unsure about how to do this, refer to the manual that came with your sound system.
Have you tried playing various content sources (i.e. podcasts, music, iTunes Store video, other video etc), do you have the same problem with all types of content? If you use optical you might also check that you can see a red light at the end of your optical audio cable. Is your optical audio cable plugged straight into your sound system, or does it go through a switch or other device?

If you have icloud backups turned on as well as Notes (settings>icloud), then they may be in a recent backup. The only way to get them is to perform a restore of the entire backup, which overwrites your entire device.

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase your device. Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.
