I CANT Re-Install Lion!

I have a MacBook air from 2009. Today I erased the HD to reset the computer to his factory settings using the command I'm trying to reinstall Lion on it.
""It says that this item is unavailable at the moment!!!!
I tried with his apple ID, with my Apple ID (which is the one i used to buy Lion!) and always says the same thing!!!

You may need to start from the beginning, start you Mac with the original DVD that came with the computer and then open disk utility, see if your disk shows up in the left window. If you do not see your hard drive is bad. If you can see it then you may need to format it then reinstall Mac OS X 10.6 then update to Mac OS X 10.7. Do you have a Time Machine backup?

Stuck in recovery, I cant re-install lion, I cant select startup disk.

My imac was running terribly suddenly today. So I thought I might try seeing if a re-install of Lion would help. I booted into recovery, downloaded Lion again and proceded with the install. I came back to find it had an error, tried to reboot. It goes right back to trying to install.
After several tries of installing I gave up, ran disk utility, checked the disk, fixed permissions. Tried to select the startup disk to reboot and I cant.

i have tried my mobilme password and changed that and re-entered it to no avail

So the question remains: How to install from a local copy?
There is no easy way.
If your Mac came with Lion preinstalled, your options are:
1. Make a bootable clone immediately (before adding any apps or other files). Keep that for emergency purposes.
2. Make a second bootable clone whenever there are major changes (and with all your apps and files installed).
3. Purchase the USB stick from Apple for $69.
4. You cannot purchase or download Lion from MAS (except with/through your internet recovery option) because you did not purchase Lion there in the first place (unless you were to completely erase your hard drive and then purchase/download Lion from MAS and then copy/save the installer to a safe place).

Ok and you used the same Apple ID that you bought Lion with?
What model year is your Mac? If it is an "Early" Early 2011 model that came with snow leopard you can't (TYPO, Should of READ CAN'T) use the Online Internet Recovery system as that is only for Mac computers that Originally came with Lion or Mt Lion. Even though the system started from it it will never work for you as your system came with Snow Leopard or Leopard.
You must use the original systemdiscs to reinstall Snow Leopard then once that is installed and updated to 10.6.8 then you login to the Mac App store to redownload Lion and install it.
I could give you the full story on why your system is booting from the Online Internet Recovery system and why it isn't working but just take my work for it you will never get Lion installed from that.
Once you have completed the Snow Leopard install, and I suggest you first reinstall the iLife apps from the second system disc, the Applications disc, before you upgrade to Lion, and then download and install lion use the Lion Recovery Disk Assistant program to make a USB thumb drive of the Built in Recovery HD partition so in the future you will be able to boot the system and reinstall Lion Clean, IE without first installing Snow Leopard.

Hi!! I have what it seems to be a really big problem!
Today i wanted to make a clean install of Os X Lion. So, i restarted my macbook pro (2010), and pressed cmd R to boot the recovery partition. First i cleared the disk and then started to install lion. After a while, lion didn't install and it seemed to be stuck, so i restarted the computer to try again.
After that, Lion does not start! Instead, appears a folder with an interrogation mark!! I have also tried to start the recovery again, by pressing Cmd+R, Alt, C, or Cmd+C, but it goes straight to the internet recovery (does not appear any other device to boot from like it used to) and after i connect to the internet it appears a world globe icone with the text 'starting internet recovery. This may take a while' and some time after, the error -2003F appears.
I have also tried to boot from an Os X Snow Leopard Recovery cd (pressing C after restarting the computer), but instead of booting or starting lion, it goes to the image with the folder with the interrogation mark.
i also tried to reset the SMC, and nothing.
Can anyone please help me??

Your Hard Disk Drive may be the problem. Use the Snow Leopard installation disk and when you see the menu bar, click on Utilities. From the drop down menu choose Disk Utility. See if you can repair the HDD. If not, then you will have to replace it.

Everything involved with my sound has stopped working after I installed Lion.. What do I do?

I have a bunch of movies, and seasons downloaded onto my Mac Pro, and I just recently installed Lion.
Now I cannot watch any of my movies, or seasons..
Im wondering if it has a lot to do with the previous software I was using isn't compatible with Lion..
I cant think of any other possible explination..

So, I spent about an hour on the phone to Apple Support (there is no Apple Store here in Hong Kong yet!).
I was asked to delete a system file, and restart, Check my HDD in recovery mode, and boot up in Safe mode - all to no avail!!!
I then got very worried when the technician started saying something like "Do you have all of your files backed up somewhere???"
I have a LaCie Wireless Space, which has not been updated to provide Time Machine bakups again! Old ATF problems, so until the time that I get this sorted, no, I will not erase my HDD!!!
Anyone with this problem who has had it fixed?

Ever since I installed Lion my internet connection comes and goes, has anyone else had the same experience. have rung Apple Care and they have reset my connection but it is still happening

Thanks so much but none of that helped. It was driving me crazy because it would back up another external drive. I just changed the name of the drive from iPhoto/iTunes Library to Media Libraries and IT WORKED!! I guess for some reason it didn't like the drive being called iPhoto or iTunes ???? I don't understand but I have tried so many solutions and exchanging things out but the name change did it????!!!

Cant launch OS Lion after Bootcamp

During the windows 7 installation on my macbook pro with bootcamp;
I formated the bootcamp partion and installed Win 7.
Cant launch OS Lion now.

Did you install the Windows support software from Apple?
In OSX go to System Preferences > Startup Disk
Does Windows and OSX appear there? Set OSX as startup disk if you prefer that.

The newest version of CS2 is CS5. And it was made very clear that these applications would not run in Lion. Not only by Apple, but on all sorts of communities and websites. It has been a long time coming - PowerPC apps were outdated six years ago. Lion does not support Rosetta, and therefore not PPC apps.
you have to options. Go back to Snow Leopard or upgrade your software. (MS Office 2004 and older will not run either).

After I installed lion, my entire itunes library was wiped out and I cant find iwork or office.

All of your iTunes library should be in /users/~/Music/itunes (` is your user folder name)
For the apps you are not seeing, did you look in the Application folder?

I am not being able to re-install Lion. Can I re-install it in a simple process like a normal software or at least get my money back since is useless then?

Little after I purchased and Installed Mac OS X Lion in my Mac, the computer crashed and I am not being able to re-install Lion. I feel my money is being stolen.

I really appreciate the help and I think Apple is the greatest computer's company there is, but Ive being screwed. If you cant make an product that can be easily installed in a few simple steps just like the first installation process was, dont sell it. My Mac was working fine, I installed the Lion upgrade and a few days later I had a computer failure and the auto-restore message poped up.
When the Mac booted all I had is a blank folder blinking and I had to reinstall everything all over. Now on top of that I need to stcik to Leopard after paying for Lion and I cannot return it. I understand some people found a way around it and are able to install it anyways, but I shouldnt have to do all that. Thanks a lot though! I really like this whole ideea about Apple Support Community and will do anything I can to help others just like you guys did.

I am having the same problem, I have submited for help on many different sites including adobe. I will let you know if i find out anything. From what I've found out so far is that this is affecting all Lion users.
