I cant restore my Iphone 3GS. I get the restore message, pushed the restore button and the progressbar starts. Then I get the message that an "unknown problem has occured" after a while in the process. When I push the ON/OFF button I get the connect-to-Itunes-picture and the same restore message pops up. I've tried everything.

It's 99% sure theat the iPhone was hacked/jailbroken to use another carrier or downgrading IOS. There's no help with this.
Error 1015: This error is typically caused by attempts to downgrade the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch's software. This can occur when you attempt to restore using an older .ipsw file. Downgrading to a previous version is not supported. To resolve this issue, attempt to restore with the latest iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch software available from Apple. i hope you can help me on this, i conect my iphone4s in my pc to update.
and i push the button restore, so iTunes would update and restore (some times a have a problem when my iPhone detects i have more ocupated space than i really have, thats why i select restore).
i cancel the process of the update by accidentally disconnecting the phone.

i have to say that am an user with alot of acknowledgement and i did all the next things.
*conected the iphone and iTunes show me nothing, like my iphone wasnt plug
*i tried DFU and as same iTunes show me nothing
*i deteled all of the iTunes files, des-install iTunes, deleted some register files in the windows registry (regedit), restart the pc, and re-install iTunes. and nothing!
I have a no oficial Apple USB cable, it broke and i buy some cheap usb cable wich has alot of plugs like all in one, and thats my only thoughts that can be the problem. am going to buy a oficial one but i wanted to know more solucions tips because im not really convinced that is the USB, as i said before it was updating well
i would be very grateful if you could help me. i try to say everything I did and what happened in the process. and if it is the usb i´ll let you know.

The screen you're seeing on your iPhone indicates it is in recovery mode. Now since the device is not appearing in iTunes on your PC, first follow the steps in this article:

Can't be done. Apple quickly stopped signing 5.1.1 Hopefully your only problem is that you don't like 6.0. Many including myself had our phones destroyed by this "update"
Lucky for you though, I have been through every possible way to downgrade and I can tell you that it is not possible. Now you won't have to waste 4 days like I did.

If you have forgotten the passcode you will have to restore to operation by using the recovery mode to attach to a computer running iTunes, per the instructions in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212 and in summary:
Doing that will erase all content and settings which you can only restore from a backup. In your case it sounds as thought you will have to redownload your apps and music, etc. since your computer is no longer functioning.

just got an iphone 4 from my dad that is disabled due to too many incorrect passcode entries. no one knows the original password. i have tried restoring the phone several times and no luck. i have installed all available software updates for my mac and itunes, restarted the computer, and i still get the error message "this device isn't eligible for the request build" when trying to restore it. i have also gone into terminal and corrected the gs.apple.com line, and tried a different computer and get the same error. i cannot find any third-party security software on my computer in utillities that needs adjusted either. i am running Mac OS X 10.5.8. ...do i upgrade to 10.6? ...can i take my phone into the apple store to have it restored?
This is driving me crazy!! Please, is there any other way i can restore this iphone???

You need 10.6.8 to restore the phone, & iTunes 11.1. So, the easiest thing to do until you upgrade the computer is to make an appointment at any Apple store & have them restore the phone.
You won't be able to sync until you do update the computer.
