I cant restore my iPhone when i cancel the update
Hi.
i hope you can help me on this, i conect my iphone4s in my pc to update.
and i push the button restore, so iTunes would update and restore (some times a have a problem when my iPhone detects i have more ocupated space than i really have, thats why i select restore).
i cancel the process of the update by accidentally disconnecting the phone.
now my iphone only shows me only this

i have to say that am an user with alot of acknowledgement and i did all the next things.
*conected the iphone and iTunes show me nothing, like my iphone wasnt plug
*i tried DFU and as same iTunes show me nothing
*i deteled all of the iTunes files, des-install iTunes, deleted some register files in the windows registry (regedit), restart the pc, and re-install iTunes. and nothing!
I have a no oficial Apple USB cable, it broke and i buy some cheap usb cable wich has alot of plugs like all in one, and thats my only thoughts that can be the problem. am going to buy a oficial one but i wanted to know more solucions tips because im not really convinced that is the USB, as i said before it was updating well
i would be very grateful if you could help me. i try to say everything I did and what happened in the process. and if it is the usb i´ll let you know.

The screen you're seeing on your iPhone indicates it is in recovery mode. Now since the device is not appearing in iTunes on your PC, first follow the steps in this article:

After following those steps, you should be able to restore your iPhone.

You will have to try putting it in DFU mode and allowing it to update. Once it has begun, you can't stop it.

If you turn your iPod off, hold down the home button as you plug it into the computer and continue holding it until an iTunes symbol and connecter appears on you're iPod's screen, it will put it into recovery mode and allow you to restore it.

To move the folder back you need to access:
\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
And insert the folder back to it, iTunes will automatically recognise it -

It's 99% sure theat the iPhone was hacked/jailbroken to use another carrier or downgrading IOS. There's no help with this.
Error 1015: This error is typically caused by attempts to downgrade the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch's software. This can occur when you attempt to restore using an older .ipsw file. Downgrading to a previous version is not supported. To resolve this issue, attempt to restore with the latest iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch software available from Apple. This error can also occur when an unauthorized modification of the iOS has occurred and you are now trying to restore to an authorized, default state.

Cant restore my Iphone 3GS.. HELP!
I cant restore my Iphone 3GS. I get the restore message, pushed the restore button and the progressbar starts. Then I get the message that an "unknown problem has occured" after a while in the process. When I push the ON/OFF button I get the connect-to-Itunes-picture and the same restore message pops up. I've tried everything.

In the article Resolve iOS update and restore errors this is what it says about error 14:
Check your USB connections
Related errors: 13, 14, 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, 1604, 1611, 1643-1650, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009, 4005, 4013, 4014, or “invalid response."
If the USB connection between your device and computer is interrupted, you may be unable to update or restore.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use the USB cable that came with your device, or a different Apple USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port directly on your computer. Don't plug it into your keyboard.
Try a different computer.
If necessary, resolve any further issues with the USB connection, then with your security software.
If you're still seeing the error message, check for hardware issues by following the next section. -
When trying to install io5 on my iphone4 I get an error message during the updtae that there is a problem with backup and if I continue with the update, all the data will be deleted from my phone. I cancelled the update and my phone is fne. Has anyone else experience this? What is the cause/solution?

Take it to the Apple store and ask them to do it.

Have you jailbroken this device? This will make the iPhone not talk to the Software Update Server (that signs and accepts software updates) please refer to the following link? Error 3194, Error 17, or "This device isn't eligible for the requested build"
The iPhone will talk to the software update servers, just need to change the host files, it's a simple process, sorry if you were confused about the wording in to top? -

If you try all these Steps and you still have issues... Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step... Be sure to make an appointment first... -
I have problem in restoring my iphone. I broke the iphone contract in USA and came to India. I got steps to unlock in a mail and i followed those steps. When i try to restore using itunes then it always says some message like "turn off find my phone." How can i get rid of this message.

If the Error is really 1015, it is most likely due to your iPhone having the iPad baseband. If this is the case, you will have to search the Web for tools to use Custom Firmware. These cannot be discussed on Apple Supported Forums.
