okay, so i just got a macbook pro and im trying to move my music from my pc to my mac. I've turned on home sharing on both computers but when i try to search for my pc's library on my mac there isn't an option to look for other libraries on my macs sharing tab. helpp!!

Can't find "Look for shared libraries" in the Sharing pane of iTunes preferences. How can I find it?

I am trying to set up Home Sharing between my computer and my wife's. Sharing keeps disappearing from the side bar although Home Sharing is turned on for both computers. Using the Help tab it says to check the "Look for shared libraries" in the preferences/shared box. The problem is that "Look for shared libraries is not there to select. Any ideas how I can sort this out?

I'm having a similar issue even after the "Shared Libraries" box is checked in General preferences on iTunes...
On early verisons of iTunes i had no problem with sharing or remote access via iPad. I really need to figure out how to get this working.

Searching for shared files over a server network using a client computer

I think spotlight can only be used to search for files on a local computer. Is there a way to search for shared files on a server from a logged in client computer?

It should work on shared HFS volumes. You would have to start the search from the Finder, not from the Spotlight menu.

Cant search for apps in the app store

I cant search for an app on the new ipad 3 any ideas??? Tried rebooting etc not working... Please dont tell me to restore!!!!

I guess I'm not completely understanding what you cant do in the app store. If you go to the main apps store page, you should see from top to bottom, the different categories. If you want to see more, look to the right of the screen and tap 'see all'.
As for printing to pdf similar to the feature on a desktop or laptop, might need a 3rd party app for that. However, you can open a file in pages for example, tap on tools/share and print/open in another app that will give you options like pdf, which will open the document in ibooks.

How can i share my library with my new computer when the itunes on the new computer does not have the "look for shared libraries" command in the preferences/shared pane?

It worked fine before i updated the most recent update, My old computer readds the new one but the new one does not read the old one now.

Is the iTunes library actually shared on the old computer?
I have never had a need for forcing iTunes to look for shared libraries, it simply detects them.

Parent class loaders are not searched for native libraries?

I'm loading a native library in the default system classloader. I think create several new children of the default class loader and instantiate some new objects in those child classloaders. The problem is that those new objects get a LinkUnsatisfiedError when they try to call the native methods.
I was under the impression that ClassLoaders would delegate native method class to their parent class loader, the same way that they do when searching for class definition. This is confirmed by this quote from http://java.sun.com/docs/books/jni/html/design.html:
"Because each class loader maintains a set of native libraries, the programmer may use a single library to store all the native methods needed by any number of classes as long as those classes have the same defining loader."
I'm in a serious catch-22 here, because I cannot load the native library in the child classloaders (native libs are not allowed to be loaded by multiple class loaders), and I need to put the objects in a separate classloader. What is the solution?

Cant' search for keywords - there are too many of them

It's probably a known bug/issue, but when you have to many keywords, you can't search for all of them.
This grey box pops up with all your keywords, which are ordered alphabetically. Unfortunately I'm not able see my keywords from A to L, because there are too many.

[ADF-11.1.2.2] 404 error for shared libraries jspx file.

Hi,
I got 2 ADF application
1. Base Application, in which I have BTF (Base-BTF.xml) with one Jspx file in it.
2. Main Application, In which there is one BTF (Main-BTF.xml) with jsff pages, and I am calling Base-BTF of Base Application as a dialog.
When I run the pages from Main Application that has a region to Main-BTF, I am able to see pages of main-app. But when I click on button to call Base-BTF, I get following error. But...
1. If I create same scenario in base application, and call Base-BTF as a dialog, it works fine. (i.e. only one ADF application is involved)
2. If I have Base-BTF2 with page fragments (jsff files) in Base Application. And If I call same from Main App BTF, it works fine and I can see base app jsff content (Note I haven't used open as dialog, as it is not applicable here).
Note that Security is not enabled for both the applications. I am not sure, why the issue of 404 is coming for Jspx file when called from another application.
Please let me know if I am doing anything wrong.

Shared Folder not showing up, no option in preferences to "look for shared libraries"

I have followed all of the instructions to set up sharing of my iTunes library with my daughters' computers and am unable to get it to work. The Shared folder is not present in iTunes and in the preferences menu, it says that sharing is on but no computers are connected. Is this a problem with an iTunes update? My sharing has worked in the past, but hasn't worked since the latest update!

To narrow down the problem, take the external drive and hook it up to different mac and then share it. Compare the results. If it works from the other mac it's a problem on your mac, if it doesn't then it's a problem on the removable drive.

So ive been doing a fair amount of research on the subject.
Havent found much, so i decided to come here to see if any of you guys might help.
Anyways, the i want to share my libraries over the network. So, the 2 computers are both connected, they see eachother, the libraries show up, but when played, everything is skippy, and cuts in and out.
I checked everything.
The connection is fine as far as i can see.
I have a linksys WRT300N router, and i even upgraded the firmware on it.
So, is there any sort of fix for this sort of problem?

Can I share MOVIES with shared libraries across networked macs?

I have my main mac with several movies stored on an external with shortcut links showing in Itunes / Movies. Works fine and two different Apple TV's all work properly.
I have a third "Bedroom mac" that picks up the shared itunes library music only. How do I set up "Bedroom Mac Itunes" to be able to see movies on "main Mac external".
All are ethernet, "Main Mac" is the control unit with external drive and time capsule.

Trying to send my Mac iTunes music to my Windows laptop over a network. Windows sees the songs and can play them in iTunes, but is there an easy (or not so easy) way to just drag and drop the songs to the Windows computer?

I use Windows and prefer to stay away from MACs these days. So quick question, are you able to move the music from your iPod to your MAC, then from the MAC to flashdrive to Windows PC?
