Check to see that external video is turned on.
View > External Video > All Frames. and
View > Video Playback > Apple Firewire PAL/NTSC.

That's the way.
The drive is probably formatted NTFS which is Windows proprietary file system. Mac OS can read it, but not write to it.
You can do as suggested by TheDave if you have sufficient HD space for temporary storage. Depending on whether you need to continue using the drive with Windows machines there are a few options.
Best for Mac only use is to re-partition and format as GUID partition map and Mac OS Extended (journaled)
For dual use, Leave the partition as MBR and format as FAT32 (MS-DOS in Disk Utility). This has a file size limit of a little over 4GB, but can be read and written to by both Mac and Windows.
There is also exFAT (aka FAT64) if both OSs support it - no file limit there that you'll ever reach.
Alternatively there are software solutions which will allow the Mac to read and write to NTFS drives. I'm told they're not as good as the other solutions, but may be an option if you haven't space to store the contents while re-formatting. -

Hi, I'm unable to see if I have any music/videos/photos on my ipad and itunes advise that I have 23gb of 'other' material therefore the sync is unable to perform when transfering music/videos to the ipad. I was forced to perform a restore earlier and now cant see the videos/music so want to replace. Pls assist, thanks
23 GB of other indicates a corrupt file(s). A restore should resolve.

Part of the problem in helping is likely that there is no program Adobe -- that is the company name. You are in the Acrobat forum, but it sounds like you have subscribed to Export PDF or such, a different program. The subscription to Acrobat is currently $19.99 per month.

I've installed windows 7 with the help of bootcamp on my macbook pro 2011.
Please help me how to install mac drivers for windows7 64 bit???You either download drivers from within Boot Camp Assistant and save to USB FAT disk, or you insert and use 10.6.x OS X DVD when in Windows and install and run the SETUP from there.

Step 4: Install the Boot Camp Drivers for Windows

Cant see the videos that I captured from my camcorder, into iMovie, on my hard drive or in FCP.
I can only see these files in my iMove Library. I cant see them at all from inside FCPX. I just want to import the video's I already captured from iMovie into FCPX.
Version 10 of iMovie and 10.0.8 of FCP X Trial. If I could just locate where the video's I captured are in the Macintosh HD then surely I could use that video. They are large files I assume since they were captured from 1 hour long DV tapes but I just dont see them anywhere on the HD.

pls take me whyIf those video files have the extension .mov, .mp4 or .m4v at the end of the file name, Quicktime should be able to play them. If those video files don't have one of those extensions attached to them, you can add it manually.

Cant see the video in Audition
We recorded a video in MP4 format. I have imported it into audition. I see both the audio and video portions and put them in a multitrack session. The video does not play along with the audio. I get a freeze frame or just blank black.???

In Imovie I get to see the small photograms that are shown in the lower part but if played. The image will be shown as a picture, no movement.
DVD Player is not supported with AirPlay Mirroring. I imagine this is due to content restrictions and DRM.

The signal is strong, but Safari won't open the page I need to put the password in. Any work arounds anybody?
Help!Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
