I cant seem to open new tabs for some reason...Can anyone help?
I got to file on top and hit new tab and nothing opens. I tried using the plus sign besides the tabs and nothing happens.

The accounts that I want to delete are hidden from the Users in Control Panel.
When I go into Finder and click on the User folder, I have two guests account (only one is visible in the Users in Control Panel) and two admin accounts (me and again, only one is visible in the Users in Control Panel). The duplicate admin account is messing up with writing/reading/permissions now and I can't figure out what to do.

In iTunes I click on a song and when I click on the "get info" tab, it opens up but everything is gray - locked, therefore, I cannot edit the year or genre of the songs. Not every song is locked, only certain ones for some reason. Any help?
I ran into the same problem, I think that, If you tab on a song that is on your IPOD, and the song data is grayed-out, I think it means that the song is probably twice on your IPOD and that the iTunes directory can not edit THAT song data for two (or more) files @once. Check if this is the case, sinceI have the same problem,am looking for a way to have One and the same song in more playlists but only keep the song once on the IPOD.

I have been trying to Export a 48 minute movie (stills, titles, transitions, and background music using iMovie 11 Ver 9. Your Desktop Picture settings and Dock items are stored in the files
/Users/your short user name/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist and
/Users/your short user name/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dock.plist
in the "Preferences" folder in your user library. This looks like the system has trouble to write to these files. Check the permissions on your user library and remove the above files from your user library, then log off and on again.
Your user library is hidden in Lion and Mt. Lion. To reveal it, use the Finder's "Go" menu. Select "Go" in the Finder's main menu bar and hold down the alt/option key, until you see the "Library" in the drop-down menu. Double click it to open a Finder window, so you can browse the files inside.

Lost my contacts list and try to restore from backup and it ask for my password to unlock my iphone backup. I don't remember creating a password for it. Can anyone help? Thanks.
If you encrypted the backup, there is no way around it. You will need to configure your iPhone as a new device.
From iTunes: About iOS backups:
In the iTunes Summary screen, select "Encrypt iPhone backup" if you want to encrypt the information stored on your computer when iTunes makes a backup. Encrypted backups are indicated by a padlock icon, and a password is required to restore the information to iPhone. You may want to write down the password for your backup and store it in a safe place. If you use a Mac, when you set a password you can select to store the password in the keychain. With iOS 4 and later, you can transfer the iOS keychain backup to a new device if you encrypt the backup.
Warning: If you encrypt an iPhone backup in iTunes and then forget your password, you will not be able to restore from backup and your data will be unrecoverable. If you forget the password, you can continue to back up and use the device, however you will not be able to restore the encrypted backup to any device without the password. You do not need to enter the password for your backup each time you back up or sync.
If you cannot remember the password and want to start again, you must perform a full software restore and when iTunes prompts you to select the backup from which to restore, choose set up as a new device. -

I am trying to open a MPEG video clip using Quicktime and it wont let me, keeps saying a codec is required. So I click on tell me more, have downloaded Quicktime 7 on numerous occasions thinking this was the problem, and it still wont let me open in. Really confused! Can anyone help???

Which keyboard layout you were using? German, French ... I suppose your layout is reset to the default: US and you are unable to find the "?" or "/" ...
Please have a look into the keyboard viewer, to see how the layout of your keyboard is actually.
