I cant select a clip in the TL without the Playhead moving along

Yes, I have disabled Skimming so this aint causing it.
What happens is that I set my playhead on any frame then I'll select a clip in the TL, one where the playhead isn't currently positioned.
What happens now is that the Playhead will move to exactly where I clicked the clip to select it.
I find that a bit weird as I could think of numerous occasions where I would not want the playhead to move while selecting another clip.
Does anyone know whether this is a BUG or feature... And if latter, how I can disable it

Pick one instance of the clip, maybe even the first bit ... and use the new Master Clip feature ... here's first a written explanation and then a video tutorial on doing this ... it's a great feature.

I do not know if your file can be recovered. But I may be able help you to recreate it with ease. If you will settle for a composite where all image are re-sized for a particular tile size and virtually cropped to its aspect ratio. Because I can't delete the icloud account, I keep getting view terms to accept and it wants to go to the old company account. I can't do anything to get rid of this - when I try to delete the icloud it wants me to delete find my ipad and asks for the old co. id and password - it's a vicious circle and i just want to get rid of it and start fresh with my regular personal email id and password!!! You will need that old Apple ID and password, which does indeed still exist. Apple doesn't delete Apple IDs, though if this ID was in the control of your company they may have changed the password. If so, you will need your former company to log into the iCloud account using that ID and password and erase the iPad or remove it from iCloud:

Until that's done you cannot change those settings, and if you try to restore the iPad will have it locked with Activation Lock and thereafter be unusable.

You don't. Email comes in either by push or when you invoke the email app. Ther is no password except when you first set up the account. If your iPad is not being used as your personal device and you need to shield emails from other users, then don't use the email app. Instead, use web mail if available from your provider.

The only option is to wipe the device clean and restore it to factory settings. Hope you have a backup.
Follow the instructions in iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 to restore the device to factory settings.
Once you have setup the device as a new one, you can then sync it back with your iTunes account and all your music, apps, contacts and any other content sync'ed with iTunes will be loaded on the device. Any content that is stored only on the device and not sync'ed with iTunes, like app logins or data, will be lost during this process. Be forewarned that this is a long process and can take a couple of hours or more to complete. This can be painful, but it is necessarily so to prevent users from working around the security settings. After the restore is complete, you can setup a new Restrictions passcode. Make a note of the passcode to avoid this situation in future.

All other .xls documents created by Mac Office 2004 retained the .xls file extention when I migrated them over to the new MacBook Air.

I know what happened. When I saved the document I somehow hit the Hide File Extension box. Sorry to trouble this group. I simply resaved it w/o activating the Hide File Extension feature.

iCloud does not provide a service like Dropbox where you can save random files to it as a way of having external storage. As for the HD damage, don't you have a backup of the itunes library elsewhere? If so, copy it to the replacement hard drive, along with any other important files that were on the damaged HD.

As far as I can tell, there's no built-in option to get the date printed without the time. It's hardcoded in a C++ file.
As a workaround, you can enter custom text for the footer, but it would need to be updated every time the date changed. I can think of a couple ways to automate that:
* An add-on (but I'm not aware of any add-on for this)
* External process to push a new date into prefs.js, a settings file that stores your header/footer preferences, among others (but Firefox should be closed when you update this file, and it will be read when you restart)

Media cache files are not involved in the removal of the Adobe watermark from the project.prel file from a tryout.
Just a re-enforcement mention...you cannot remove the Adobe watermark from a tryout "saved" exported product; whereas, you can from a saved/closed project file (project.prel).
By exported product, I mean a burn to disc in the tryout or the Timeline of the tryout exported to a file saved to the computer hard drive.
In the case of removing the Adobe watermark from the tryout project.prel, classically you delete the rendered files (Timeline Menu/Delete Rendered Files) in the purchased program. In no way is media cache involved in this. Some of us have found that there was an automatic removal of the Adobe watermark resulting from just opening the tryout project.prel file in the purchased program.
Please review and consider.
