Reset: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Note: You will not lose any data
By the way, picture go through as MMS not SMS, do you have a SMS/MMS plan with your carrier?
    Have you spoken with them?

  • After upgrading to iOS 5, I cant send pics through SMS anymore??

I can no longer send pics through SMS anymore?...everytime i try to send one, it just prompts me "saving photo" for a very long time until I quit the app?

This happened to be today as well, starting at about mignight this morning. It's only affecting non-explicit material in the music section of iTunes, Movies, TV Shows and Apps seem to be unaffected.
After a lengthly attempt at fixing the problem, "Reset All Settings" seems to fix the issue (for now anyway).

  • Iphone 4S cant send or recive MMS

Please help Iphone 4S wont send or recive picture messages

They probably don't have your account provisioned correctly for MMS. Call the carrier back and ask them to check the provisioning. (use those words!)
They may have to remove MMS from your account and re-add it to fix the problem. The problem is definitely on the carrier side.

Can you please specify the version of the hand held software on your BlackBerry Smartphone. Options>About (3rd line from the top). Can you also clarify what is happening when you try to send an email, when does this issue occur?
    Thank you

  • Cant send or recieve sms messages ?

Not able to send or recieve messages on my iphone ? Any advice ?

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Are you referring to the separate message in boxes for SMS and email?
On the Blackberry go to the main message queue, menu, options, general options.
Scroll to SMS and Email in boxes, select separate.
    Thanks,

  • Cant send out sms message

HI i was wondering if someone could help me i just bought a blackberry pearl8230 this week and i can recieve and send out phone calls,, i can recieve sms message but i cant send out a sms message it keeps giving me sms message error code 3,  If somone can hlep me that b great i talked to a technician from my service provider today we did the battery take out reset the phone and all that and then he tells me he has to send it to support and could be another 3-5 days ,, HELP ME PLXZ

Hi badone45 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Did you buy the BlackBerry as brand new, or was it previously used by someone else?
If it was previously used, it is possible there is in an IT Policy on the device preventing SMS to be sent.
You can check to see if there is an IT Policy on it by going to Options -> Security Options -> General Settings
If you happen to see an IT Policy and there is something listed, you will need to do a factory reset on the device.
You can download the BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac or Windows from http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/ as you will need to back up your device first as all data will be wiped out when the reset is done.
To do the factory reset, consult KB18998 at http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB18998
Thank you and have a great day!

  • I cant send text on new iphone4s

I cant send a text sms but can recieve them help???

If it's a new phone, chances are it's a problem with the way your account is provisioned by your carrier. If you ported your number from a different carrier, the port may not be complete.

  • How do I send SMS only at ALL TIMES with an iPhone to ALL contacts? My family shares iPads under my ID and now my teenager gets all my business texts!

How do I send SMS only at ALL TIMES with an iPhone to ALL contacts? iOS 8 now forces all Apple users to use iMessage all the time with all other iOS users. The option to send as SMS only is subordinate to iMessage in iOS 8 settings and CANNOT be turned off to send only SMS texts to another iOS device! This is a serious privacy issue for all households using iOS and doing family sharing, including over a number of iOS devices, under one member's Apple ID. Why should business conversations or financial conversations between parents be readable on an iPad in the hands of a teenager or a seven year old? The answer is not as simple as "Just don't enable iMessage on your other devices," because amy family that shares the Apple ID password is vulnerable to teenagers particularly hacking into iMessage to monitor, for example, what their parents are saying. If I were Samsung or Google I would hammer this issue immediately and continually until it is fixed by Apple (and I'm not sure why they haven't yet). iMessage is a convenience but it has this serious limitation given the architecture of the Apple universe. Apple simply cannot force all its users to conduct text messaging in arbitrarily limited way, any more than it was able to force all its users to switch from Google Maps. When will Apple fix this?

    Trademann wrote:
Fox, that does not work, because then you are blocked from sending any form of message to another Apple user. iMessage MUST be activated to text any other iOS device. And then Apple defaults by ALWAYS using iMessage between iOS devices. There is simply no way, within iOS 8, to send SMS only to another Apple user. Apple has made that impossible.
The SMS-only choice used to be on the same menu level as iMessage, but  now it is locked WITHIN iMessage, and is not available as a choice unless iMessage is activated. Then it is limited solely to being used if iMessage is not available.
I'm sure their argument is that they are saving their customers money because iMessage is free, but they are imposing an opportunity cost on 100 percent of their user base in the guise of saving that money. What they are really doing is entrapping faithful users such as myself further within the Apple ecosystem. If I hadn't already spent thousands of dollars on my iTunes library I might consider a Galaxy ... Samsung does not deserve to regain any momentum if they can't figure out how to exploit this.
Turning off iMessage does not prevent you from sending messages to other Apple users.  You can send an SMS to any iPhone without your own iMessage turned on, even if it is turned on on their iPhone.
The SMS-only option is: Turn off iMessage.  Literally.  That's it.

  • I only have access to wifi, imessage started defaulting to green text message instead of blue imessage to people who it previously worked fine with.  Now I can't send outdoing messages, i have turned SMS off and it still does this, any suggestions?

I only have access to wifi, imessage started defaulting to green text message instead of blue imessage, thus they fail to send, I have turned off SMS and restarted the phone and the problem gotinues.  Any suggestions?

iPads only support iMessage. You cannot send SMS with any of the native iOS functionality on it. There may be some apps in the app store that will, and certainly several messaging platforms (but read the descriptions carefully).

  • My imessages are gone. i cant activate them now. When i go into send and recieve its only my e-mail address thats ticked and not my phone number ticked also. When i sign in with my apple ID it is ticked there. can anyone help me please.

    Hi,
    Go to the iPhone
    GO to Settings > Messages
Is the iPhone Number ticked to be enabled (It will be greyed out and not editable but should be On)
If it is Off (Unticked remove the Apple ID)
Place the iPhone in Airplane mode for a few minutes.
Go back to Settings Messages and make sure the Message app Is Enabled overall.
Check the iPhone Number is verifying.
When Completed test by sending an iMessage to your Apple ID (Mac)
If that works add back the Apple ID to the iPhone's Settings.
Restart the Mac App and Accept the op ups that appear as to what the iPhone is using.

Seems I entered question in subject field? Here's the question:

I've deleted and re-entered her contact info - still cant send txt. What's up? ATT says they've never seen this. • Cant send mms messages. I get the error message:  "one or more of the message components have been delted by MMS Adaptation.  Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your handset".  This only seems to be an issue to iphones.

I cant send pic messages to iphone users. I get the error message:  "one or more of the message components have been delted by MMS Adaptation.  Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your handset".  This only seems to be an issue to iphones.  I like this phone but have had nothing but trouble since day one.  I am so tired of being on the phone with verizon and still not getting all the problems corrected.  Someone please help!

    Hello christina267,
Help is right here, front and center! Let's get your mms working properly. May I ask are you using the original stock messaging app to send texts and mms? Also, are you using any special characters or emojis in your message? Since you state that the issue is to iPhones, did you happen to have used an iPhone on your mobile number just before you were using the Galasy S 5? As you share the details then we can investigate.
    Thank you…
