I cant send text to certain people

Recently my phone is acting up. I an iphone 4 unlocked with gevey sim running 4.3.5 and 4.10.01 unlocked for tmobile and all of the sudden it wont let me send texts to certain people and i cant recieve texts from them either. The sending bar will load to 90% and then it stoped with 10% left and says error. I try to resend but it doesnt work. I googled it and i deleted my conversation with the person, reset the phone, deleted then re-added the contact but it still doesnt work. But yet i am able to call them. I have not tried to restore it because it says i have to update the iphone if i want to restore it which i can do. So i need any ideas on what to do.

Bad signal in the area?

I just switched from my old iPhone 4S to a iPhone 5S as part of my family's upgrade plan (this is through Sprint). Since restoring my phone from my backup saved on my laptop here, I've noticed an issue regarding my texting. I can text other iPhone users just fine via iMessaging. Other non-iPhone users, however, most notably my girlfriend and coworkers, are a different story. I very frequently have to resend messages to them or the message will send out extremely slowly. The "loading bar" at the top will progress to roughly 90% then just stop and idle for about 30-45 seconds, then give me an error or (rarely) send the text out. I've never had any issues like this on my 4S regardless of signal strength and have tried everything. Turning the phone off/on, toggling iMessage, etc., but none of it seems to work and I'm getting increasingly frustrated with this problem and would like some suggestions or help for fixing this as soon as possible.

Everytime I try to send a message to a person that does not have an Apple product ( Iphone or Ipad ) it comes up saying contact is not registered for iMessage and wont send it. I can only send them a message from my iPhone 4 instead. Do I have to install a new App from the App store to send these non iMessage cell users a message?

Cant send texts

I haqve just moved to Tenerife and got a movistar sim. I can recieve calls and texts but cant send texts. I have tried to resend the service books but it wont allow me saying "your device had a problem connecting to the server". When i try send a text it says "requested facility not implented". What do I do?

Text messages, such as SMS? Those are not enabled by Service Books.
I found this:
Cause No. 50 - requested facility not subscribed.
This cause indicates that the user has requested a supplementary service which is implemented by the equipment which generated this cause but the user is not authorized to use.
What it means:
The switch looks at the number being dialed and thinks it is for another service rather than ISDN. If the phone number is put in the correct format, the call should be placed properly. There are no standards for this, all Telcos have their own system for programming the number formats that the switches will recognize. Some systems want to see 7 digits, some 10, and others 11.
I'd recommend you call Movistar and see if there are SMS encoding settings or a switch they must make on their end.

Cant send text from my iphone4s to a non iphone

I cant send texts to a non iphone from my 4s, get message tp resend using 10 digit number or valid short code. msg 2114 I am using 10 digits and have tried 7 digits

Contact your carrier. SMS is a carrier function and they would be the one that would be providing the error. Have them make sure your account is provisioned correctly for SMS. You might also want to double-check your settings for Dial Assist.

Like any electronic item, it sometimes gets inexplicably balled up. The reset is no different than rebooting a computer that is acting hinky. If you don't have to do it often, then it is not anythign to worry about. (I know - not the kind of tech talk you were probably expecting, but the words selected are about as scientific as you can get concerning this type of weirdness....)

Speak with an AppleCare advisor either over the phone or by chat.
They will remove your phone number from the iMessage system. That's it! Otherwise after 45 days your phone nymber will automatically be removed from the system. Now or later, it's your choice.

I did not face any problems with my earlier phone. The numbers that I can send texts to, the msgs are always delivered to them.
And the to the numbers that I cannot send texts, they always fail and give me this "Message Send Failure".

Well i'll try calling em again but i dont think they will take the ownership and they never get annoyed coz evrytm its a new person..lol. Thnx for your help though.
And restoring might not help coz this has been the case since Day 1 of iphone 5.

Suddenly cant send text messges to previously contactable people

Am using latest op system on Mac Air. Up until today i was able to send text messages/imessages to all my contacts regardless if they had iphone or not.
I can now send to only some contacts (mixture of both iphone and android users). Why is this so.? Previously conversations still appear on the mac air but now their names are in red in the To: area. Very frustrating .... any help greatly appreciated.
pS: Have checked that all devices have the same Apple IP login.

This is a related Thread.
Messages says Not Delivered
You need closer to the bottom of the thread than the Log post stuff at the top.
Essentially the Mac involved in iMessages is the one most likely to have an issue.
iPhones and other iOS devices are likely to be still able to Send iMessages and SMS in the case of the iPhone.
It is beginning to seem that once we have identified one issue about the Mac Logging in then another appears.
The first four Apple deal with here FaceTime, Game Center, Messages: Troubleshooting sign in issues - Apple Support
These do presume that the Date and Time are set along with a proper DNS server listing in System Preferences > Network and thre Region in the iMessages account itself on the Mac.
A 5th issue started in Messages 7 (Mountain Lion) and continues to show up.
This can only be solved by Contacting Support.
Since then there are increasingly difficult to pin down issues.
The 6th as it were is were the Contacts all say "Not Registered with iMessages" on the Mac whilst working on an iPhone.
The 7th seems to be logged in but all iMessages then return "Not Delivered" under the "sent" iMessages.
Now we seem to have an 8th that only show up after Pairing for Text Forwarding with an iPhone.
Here the Mac continues to Send SMS (green messages) to non iPhones and to iPhone even when those iPhone could accept iMessages (blue messages).
Yours, strangely seems to be a combination of those described above.
I feel that all these will eventually be like the "5th issue" where everyone will have to Contact Support.
Account/Apple ID issues are free to Fix.
Having said that Level 1 people tend to be very Script led (pushing to list it as A software or Hardware issue that can be charged or Apple Care'd for).
You may have to insist that you speak to a Level 2 person.

I have an unlocked AT&T iPhone 4, currently using it with Telenor in Sweden. Everything works fine except for the Messages application.
When I try to send a message to my Swedish contacts, sometimes they receive it and other times they don't.
But where it gets weird is that if they send me a message, it will open a new "conversation" and I can reply in that new "conversation".
Also, sometimes, if they have iPhones with iMessage, when I send them a text, the bubble will stay green and it says it is being sent as a text message. But when they contact me, the bubbles are blue and it says it's an iMessage.
This also only happens with certain people, regardless of which kind of phone they have! It also never happens with my American contacts who have iMessage.
Anyone else experience something similar? I have no clue why this could be.

We want you to be able to receive text from everyone. Do you know if those trying to send you a text are both iPhone and Android users? Do they ever receive an error message when trying to text you? To clarify do you have a Motorola Droid X or a Moto X? Try to clear text app cache/data. Settings>Applications or App Manger>All>Find text app and force close/clear cache & data.

If it's a new phone, chances are it's a problem with the way your account is provisioned by your carrier. If you ported your number from a different carrier, the port may not be complete.

Cant send text message

I am not able to send message but i am able to recieve messages and i can even send imessage but cant send normal text message. i removed the sim and used it in an other phone and i am able to send message. so its not the problem with the carrier. i also used different sim and i was not able to send message from my iphone with that also. i reset the to factory settings and i still have the problem :-(:-(. please help.

Contact your carrier regardless if this works when the SIM card is placed in another non-iPhone. Messaging with an iPhone is provisioned differently by carriers.
