I cant share my photos to iCloud

I want so share my photos but iPhoto keeps on telling me that I must enable/sign in to iCloud, which I've done. I keep on ticking the photos box but as soon as I close the window it resets and we are back to square 1. I've also tried to sign in to iCloud from system preferences but it keeps on reseting the choice. How can I fix this? I have OS 10.9.3 and my iPhoto software is up to date.

This is in the system/iCloud preference pane, right? Boot into the Recovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down), select Disk Utility and repair both the disk permissions and the disk. Reboot normally and try setting the System/iCloud preference again.

Not true. You get one and only one download.
In some instances, itunes has allowed another download to a few. This is not the norm.
You can try contacting itunes support and asking for an exception, but they are under no obligation to allow.

How to share automatically photo in iCloud photo

Behind ios8 i have only one account iCloud for me and my wife but just select photo and locate for my wife
and on iphone wife second account iCloud for contact calendar ....
And when i take a photo or my wife take photo, photo go automatic in iCloud photo and access to mac to my iphone and to iphone wife
But now with IOS8 if i wan't to active locate on each iphone my wife and me i must connect different account icloud
And now i can't share automatically photo take with different iphone
I wan't to have only one iCloud photo for all my family
With that one familly member take a photo and automatically is share and all iphone and all mac
It's very long to share in manual the photo to iCloud share
Is it possible to automatically update each photo on share folder family iCloud photo for have on all iphones and all iphoto mac

Photos are not available for viewing on icloud and are not backed up to it from a PC or Mac, only from an ios device. It sounds like your iphone was unable to perform a backup to icloud before going bad (or whatever happened to it). You'll just have to perfrom a restore to see if any photos come back.
But the usual advice regarding photos is that you sync photos to the PC periodically as you would photos from a camera. If you've been doing that, then you'll find copies on the PC.

Agreed! It would be nice to edit photos from the website. As it is, it's very easy to ADD photos to Photostream. I use Aperture, and all you do is click a button at the top of the screen. However, you cannot delete photos individually... go figure. To me, this is a stunning omission and makes the service much less useful.

OP you need to be more specific. ARE you saying that they did not restore from your icloud backup? Or are you saying that they didn't show up under your photostream?
If its the 2nd one, because photos are only available to other devices in your photostream for 30 days. Beyond that, they only show on the original device. To get around this, you can, on the original device, share them all to a shared photostream, inviting only yourself to share the photostream and them you'll be able to access them on the new device. Fair warning, sharing them to the shared photostream can take some time so don't delete them till they all show up.

Backing up you phone to iCloud does not upload your photos to Photo Stream for viewing on iCloud. For this you need to turn on Photo Stream in Settings>iCloud>Photo Stream. Also, only photos taken after turning on Photo Stream are uploaded from your phone to Photo Stream, not existing photos.

Family sharing works well for keeping contact lists separated and we do not need to see all the crap the other half shoots with their iPhone.
But as family-members, we DO want to use our communal photo-library.
It would be great if you could share your entire library with family-members or at least select which albums to share with who.
Also it is silly that you can share a photo only to one other iCloud-album. If I shoot a nice pic of the kids I would want to share it with my wife AND with others.
The same would work for contacts. The family-head should be able to assign which contacts are shared and which are separate.
I hope Apple will update the family-possibilities so that this is fixed.

The new ios version of iPhoto allows sharing. Here's a blurb from Apple's web site:

I have not used ios version of iPhoto to share "journals" and I'm not sure this is part of iCloud or not. You'll have to do a google search on "ios iphoto" and read up of this journal thing. As far as I know, this is the only way of sharing photos. I'm not sure whether other friends use a browser to view these journals or whether they need something special. Any way - search around to find answers.

I'm not sure understand you at this point.....
Have you set up a "shared photo stream" to share your photos with your wife? [System Preferences -> iCloud .. then check the box next to "Photos" and click on "Options" to the immediate right.... in the Options drop down make sure "iCloud Photo Sharing" is checked...
Then open iPhoto - select in the sidebar the album you want to share (if you only want to share individual photos select these in the main window)
Then click on the "Share" icon on the lower right of the iPhoto window - a little menu with icons will popup. Click on the iCloud icon in that menu... the next menu that pops up should be titled "Share"
Click on the first item (New Photo Stream --the one with the "+" sign) and create a "shared album" - a drop down window will appear at the top of iPhoto... just fill out the form (whom you want to share it with, the name of the shared album, etc. - if you want your wife to be able to add photos to the shared album, check off the box that says "Subscribers can post"
Your wife will have to agree to "subscribe" to this shared item (she will get "invite on her device - ) - once it is set up to see the shared photos in iPhoto click on "iCloud" in the sidebar under "Shared" and it will show you any shared albums in addition to your own Photo Stream... on devices, to see the shared album, open the Photos app... at the bottom one of your choices will be "shared" (a cloud icon) - touch that icon and you will get a list of all your shared iCloud albums as well as "activity"...
No need to "export" anything manual, etc.
