I cant sync my iPhone without it trying to delete my songs that i already have on there. How do I stop this?

When I got my phone I set it up on my laptop (which Is now broken) I've tried to sync my phone to my PC and it keeps on wanting to delete my music files from the phone how do I prevent this?

You don't stop this.
This is how the iphone is designed.
Copy everything form your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.

HT203200 When I try to sync my iphone to my imac it deletes any apps that I have added on my computer and wont install on my iphone and visa versa. Itunes wont let me authorise from the imac with errors of -54 and -50. Can you pls help??

When I try and sync my iphone (backup) with my imac any apps that I have put on the imac OR my iphone will not sync to eachother, so I lose some of my apps. WHen itunes (on the imac) tells me to authorise the changes/apps and I put my details in, it comes up with an itunes error code of -54 and -50. Thank you Carolyn, I understand that and do use the same P/w for both the iphone and the computer and the apps were origionally for the iphone anyway, they just used to back on the computer and now they wont and the imac even cancels them off my iphone when I sync. And it says "Itunes" has made an error, try again...with the coes -54 and -50. This means I canot ack up my iphone properly.

If you are saying that you both have iCloud accounts and use the same icloud ID, then yes, the contacts will be deleted. The idea is that all devices using the same icloud ID are kept in sync. You need to use different IDs. You can keep the same iTunes ID so you can share the songs and apps. But use different icloud IDs.

You have POP mail account. That's how those types of email accounts work.
You want an IMAP type of account, where if you delete on phone, it will also delete on server. Should you ever restore your device again it will only update the mail that hasn't been deleted.
You didn't say which email service you use, but try contacting them to see if they offer IMAP. Or you can switch.

My iphone 4 is broken, cannot access anything on there at all. I am currently using my sim in an old Samsung phone, whenever I text someone that has an iphone or they text me I do not receive the reply it go to my ipad as an iMessage.

To fix this requires puttting your sim in your iPhone 4 & turning iMessage off...which you say you can't do; logging into your Apple support profile online & removing your iPhone 4...that is if you setup a support profile. You can also go to Settings>Messages>Send/Receive, on your iPad, and remove your phone number.

I find the term 'sync' maddeningly imprecise and iTunes frustratingly counter-intuitive. So here's the situation: iPhone calendar - bulging; Outlook calendar - zilch. I want to back up FROM iPhone TO PC. Last time I tried this it seems the blank Outlook calendar over-wrote my iPhone calendar. Result - tears before bedtime.
Also I keep getting the message: 'The information on the iPhone... is synced with another user account. Do you want to sync this iPhone with the information from this user account instead?' (What is a 'user account'? How can I find out what the iPhone was previously synced with? And does it matter?).
It then asks whether I want to 'Merge Info' or 'Replace Info', with a button provided for each of these choices.
Thus there are three questions, with buttons capable of answering only the last two. How do I indicate 'no' to question number one?

Firefox 4 tries to close all tabs when closing a pop-up. How do I stop this?

Just upgraded to Firefox 4 yesterday. It's great! EXCEPT every time a pop-up occurs, if I try to just click on the "x" to close the pop-up, Firefox wants to close all my tabs (and thus my browser).

I have synced my phone to my computer several times. This time i received this message: "iTunes was unable to load data class infor from sync services. Reconnect or try again later." It says if I want to sync calendar I must install Outlook to my computer?? Why does iTunes not recongnize that I already have Outlook installed on my computer?

This worked for me...i did a restore on my computer to take it to a date prior to the last update i did on itunes and now it works just fine. Everytime i do a backup it syncs my Outlook! When a request comes up saying there's a new version of itunes click here to download the latest one DON'T do it.
