I cant sync to my mac or my pc PLEASE HELP
I had my i phone for a while now and i have no idea how to sync ny itunes or anything for that matter.
please let me know how is it being done . I thought all i need to do is connect it to my pc or mac and it will prompt me like the ipod. but when i connect it only shows a my iphne as a camera device.
what am i not doing right?
To activate an iPhone with AT&T requires connecting the iPhone with your computer and iTunes and afterwards provides for selecting sync options.
Assuming you are running the current iTunes version and if iTunes does not launch automatically when your iPhone is connected, is your iPhone not available with iTunes after launching iTunes?

Are you syncing your old one just to transfer your purchases to your iTunes library and create a backup that you can restore you new phone to? If so, you can do this without syncing by disabling automatic syncing (iTunes>Preferences>Devices, check "Prevent...from syncing automatically"), then connecting your old phone, righ-clicking on it's name on the left side of iTunes, choosing Transfer Purchase, then right-click again and choose Back Up.

Centro-cant sync cal or addies to phone anymore PLEASE HELP!! cant figure out dbscan either!
ive tried everything besides a hard reset and uninstalling hotsync manager (i even tried getting help online with the unhelpful tech support with palm), but the only things that sync now are my "to do list, memos, media and addit." i cant get my calander or address book to sync. i downloaded dbscan and did what the tech support guy told me to do, but that didnt help. i did notice that i have some "dirty" flags, but i have no clue as to what that even means. i can only assume something bad?? can someone pllleeease help me? ive already had to do a hard reset on this phone twice and i really dont want to do it again.

To copy items from the iPhone you can do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases (Alt-F should get the File drop-down menu to appear)

Boot Camp cant be recognised after Mac OS Yosemite update, Please Help?
I've updated my Macbook Pro 13" OS software and apparently has crashed my boot camp partition.
Specs:
MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)
2.5 GHz Intel Core i5
4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB
I've looked at the terminal process by using certain codes etc, but i dont really understand it fully so if anyone has a similar problem or knows how to fix it please help, I have a lot of important information.

I added a contact to my iphone 4s and when I did a sync manually it is not showing up on my MAC in address book - please help....I checked off sync all contacts in iTunes - does it only work one way from computer to phone?

I have lost all data on my iphone by mistake. I needed to restore the phone and I didnt realize my back-up was 1yr old, and now the phone is restored and I've got a year old contact list and iMessage chat history. Luckily my iMessage on the Mac is still valid and has all the chat history. My question is how can I restore iMessage chats on my iPhone 4 from my Mac? I have all the chat history on my Mac, but there seems to be no sync function from Mac to iphone. Please advice.If things seem to be going haywire with your phone, it seems that it MAY be a software issue.
Now, that being said, that does not necessarily mean that it is a virus. Software issues do happen sometimes. It is probably just coincidence.
What you need to do is restore the device using iTunes. This will fix any software issues. After you have done this, you can restore from an iCloud backup.
iCloud does not back up the actual software, so no, the "virus" would not have gotten into the backups.

First, be sure that the contacts on the devices are in the "icloud" section and not the "On my iPhone" (or iPad) section of the contact listings/groups.
Missing contacts:
Here's a test to perform - using a computer's browser, log into icloud.com and go to the Contacts page. If most of them are gone, then they are gone.
If they show up, then the problem is that your device is not connecting to the Contacts database on icloud.
On the device, go to Settings>icloud. Be sure icloud is on and using the right ID. If not, scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Delete Account - this just disconnects the device from that account, no data is lost. Then log back in using the correct ID. ALSO - be sure the Contacts are turned on (on the same screen).
Note: Contacts are not part of an iCloud backup, since they are part of contacts database on iCloud's servers. So performing a restore will not help.

Then they have been deleted. There are many reasons for this. One possibility is that someone else is using the same iCloud account (family member, etc.) and they deleted contacts, thinking they did want them on THEIR device. How to get them back? Unfortunately, an iCloud backup does not include any of the sync databases, like contacts, notes, calendars, reminders, etc. because the data is already stored in these databases. Your only hope for restoring the data is if you had that data on a computer (like a mac's Contacts, Calendars, etc.) and that data was backed up using whatever backup software you typically use (e.g. Time Machine on a mac). Just restore the data files back to the computer. Other than that, I'm afraid the data is gone. -

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

JulieTry enabling the Personal Hotspot on the iPhone and connecting the Mac to the Internet thru it. If Facebook works ok then, that would mean the ISP is either blocking or having connection problems whereas the phone carrier is not.
Be mindful that carrier data charges can be outrageous so use this as a test first. -
My iPad and iPhone have the same syncing calendar but my Windows 7 PC with iCloud does not sync/show the same calendar...please help!
iCloud will not sycn a calendar from an external source. In order to use iCloud to sync it, you would have to move it to iCloud and stop using Google. I know how to do that on a Mac, but I'm not sure how to do it on a PC. If you're using Outlook, I suspect you export it as an .ics file to your desktop, then import it to the iCloud account in Outlook. I'm sure you could use Google to find the specific steps.
However, there's really no reason not to just use Google to sync your calendar across your devices. Instead, just continue to use Goole calendar on all your devices and they should stay in sync. Take a look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0Jj0KFgbYI. -
