I cant turn it off after doing the R'S PLease help i wil explain more

Toady I pulled it out from a little pod vacation it took (it sat in his little protective case for a while like 6 week. anyway got it out recharged it and it actually turns off and on fine plugged to comp, or the power adapter it came with.I tried everything to turn it off once it is on unplugged. no I didnot pull it when it says do not disconnect only when it froze on my comp once so i had too and still coulodnt turn off had to wait for the battery to die with a full charge it is like an hour or two plug it in charged went to ipod update only option was to restore that time it did show up ejcted it right but still the same thing now I can perform the 6 second resetbt when it comes on again same thing cantturn it off no screns are locked or anything. Someplease help I am going across 4 states fri and want to bring it

I have a 60G iPod video and I've been experiencing the exact same problem and It is driving me nuts. Even when I reset the iPod turns back on and stays that way. Last night I set it to play a small playlist as I went to sleep and 7 hours later it hadn't turned off... battery was nearly dead. UGH!
Although I forgot to do it last night, here's what I've been doing to workaround the problem (it's annoying me to no end, but at least it works and conservs battery power) ... go to the sleep timer and set it! I usually set it for the minimum of 15 minutes when I don't want to use the iPod, then I make sure I set the lock. The iPod will turn itself off in 15 minutes and stay that way until I either look at it funny or breathe on it, then it will turn on again until I pull the same stupid little trick, LOL! I know it's a dumb workaround, but I hope it helps!

Just go back in photoshop and use the Slice Select tool, then just click and select the slice and hit delete - if you're not sure which one is the active slice just right click and find the one that has the Delete Slice option.
It's possible you either added the slices by accident or if you received it from someone they just had the slices hidden. For the future, you can go to View > Show > Slices to display (or hide) slices.

Phone goes into standby and wont turn off after update!!! please help me as hate it

On Friday I turned my phone off as per usual and turned back on in the morning to find the phone totally different.
The red lock button now only sends the phone into like a sleep mode, and i cant find any where to turn it off.
The screens keep fading down and I have re set the backlight to not dim but some thing is over riding it.
I used to love my phone and now hate it so much, is there a way of booting this update off my phone and putting it back to how it was. I tried to restore and its the same and then tried to put the phone back to previous settings I had stored on my lap top but again nothing.
I now have some new blackberry software on the lap top too which now does not even recognise my phone and there for the past restore points I had.
My daughters bold 9700 does the same thing now too, please please help

Blackberry doesnt actually "turn off" it only goes into a standby mode (press and hold the end call button). To fully power it down, you would perform a battery pull.

Lenovo 3000 n200 close lid goes dark after upgrade the BIOS. Please HELP!!!

The lid is set to do nothing but the screen turns off and i cant get it back on by using the keyboard or mouse.
Only way is to use function keys to standby and bring it back.
My notebook configs as below:

I found this prolem on 3000 v2000 (0764-a46) too.
- os : windows xp sp3 (also in windows xp sp2) but this problem doesn't found in windows vista
- cause : i found that after i'm install vga driver this problem is occur (but uninstall vga driver this problem isn't occur)
I think lcd is turn off but system doesn't hang because i try to press windows + U + U (shut down windows) then system is turning off.
if i press windows + U + R (restart ) system is restarting but lcd isn't turn on

Just in case you don't see my responses before I sign off....
That Masters folder should have all of your pictures...the actual files...assuming you've used iPhoto all along and are letting it manage the photo locations. I'd suggest copying that folder elsewhere. Better yet just copy the whole "iPhoto Library" thing.

That shows how to run iPhoto to repair the library. Worst case if that doesnt work is to create a new library and reimport your photos from the copy you made. You'll lose all of the tags, etc. you might have put on photos but the most important part...the actual photos...should be good.

i downloaded the new softward today and have now lost all contacts pictures messages etc iphone was backed up but when i started the download the iphone went into restore mode. im completely at a loss. need all data back especially pictures

Did you fail to import your pics before updating?
You can try restoring from backup
You should be syncing contacts with your computer regularly. Have you failed to do this?

I too had the same vertical white line in the centre of the screen last night after having my iPhone 5 up and running for 10 days. I managed to turn it off by holding the buttons in and it came up with the iTunes screen....2 hours later it came good?

I was talking outside on my iPhone 5 in a fairly humid environment (The Pilbara in January, 2014) then when the call was finished I hung up (as I was walking back inside to the air-conditioning) this white vertical line appeared in the centre of the screen and wouldn't go away. Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off.

Try this to get rid of the message.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Battery does not charge
Verify that the outlet being used is working.
Try another USB power adapter if available.

iPhone or iPod touch displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive
If you see the image below, charge the iPhone or iPod touch with USB power adapter for at least 15 minutes.
You should see this image when iPhone or iPod touch begins to charge:
If the screen still displays the low-battery icon, try turning the iPhone or iPod touch off and then on again.
