I cant update iLife '08 at all

A couple days ago, when i last opened iPhoto, it said there was an update available. I naturally checked Software Update for the updates, but it said it couldn't find anything. I went on Apple's website and downloaded the updates manually. But when Installer opens, it says that it can't detect an eligible version of iPhoto/iDVD/iMovie/iWeb. Could anyone please explain how to fix this and/or tell me what the problem is?

There are typically two reasons for this
1 - you are trying to update an older version (iPhoto 2, 4, 5 or 6) with an iPhoto '08 updater - new versions are not updates - they must be purchased, or
2 - you have moved the iPhoto '08 application - it must be where the installer placed it at the root level of the Applications folder

Hi,
I am unable to update ilife bundled updates. Keeps saying "There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (18)".
These apps show in my purchases and it asks me to accept. However when I click accept..and enter my apple id and password it does nothing. NOTHING!!
Tried calling apple support they made me do a few useless things none of which helped. Have been on the phone with them for about an hour now and they seem to have no clue. I thought this was a common problem and to think they would know what to do about it by now.!!!
Tried deleting the .plist file and logging out and logging in with apple id etc. none of which seem to work!. Need an update to iphoto so i can photo stream pics from my iphone to my mac (mid 2011, software is up to date). Any help is appreciated.

Have you used any of the three apps?
If you use even one of these apps before you accept them, then as per their individual Terms of Use, they become as is apps, not usable on any other Mac and unable to be updated.

Apple doesn't have an e-mail address. Unfortunately you'll have to resort to snail mail, for anything that can't be answered by phone or the website.

Have v. 3.6.17, cant update as a message says I have Firefox running and to close it. What now, I do close all I can.

Are you looking at the "processes" tab in the Task Manager.

The reapair shop is probably responsible. And now that you took it to a third party and not to apple store, Apple will not touch your phone at all. So you will probaly have to buy a new one or go back to the reapir shop and hope they can fix it.

When you change to the new router, did you re-run the CD to re-set the new SSID and password to the printer.
Otherwise your iPad will not be able "talk" to your printer.

I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first.

It would be best for you to open iTunes, sign in and view your account. If all the purchases were paid already instead of entering your new card information, it will give you an option for "NONE" as a payment method. Again this is not applicable of you have a pending charges with iTUnes
