I cant upload videos in my ipod

Ihave a 30gb Ipod, but when i open the preferences of my ipod in itunes to actualize it, the letters looks like transparent, so i cant mark an option.
I would like someone to tell me wath can it be?

Hi JCLDV,
The problem you are having is that you currently have your iPod set to manually update, so the option to update your videos is grayed out because iTunes assumes you will be doing that yourself. If you want to put videos onto in this mode, simply drag them from the "Videos" section of iTunes.
If you wish to "un-gray" the buttons, go to the "Music" tab (on the far left of the iPod options menu in iTunes) and click "Automatically update songs and playlists".
Hope this helps.

  • Problem with uploading video to my ipod nano 5g

I tried to upload video on my iPod though itunes, but when i am doing it, itunes is not responding for a while and then shows an error: ""The iPod "iPod Artur" cannot be synced. The required folder cannot be found". What should i do to upload video on my ipod?
P.S. The video file is converted in mp4 format.

I tried to do everything what was written in that link, but it didn't worked. Also i tried to connect my Ipod to my friends computer, and there everything was ok, so i suppose that problem is in my laptop, but not in Ipod. I have Acer Aspire 3680 laptop with Windows XP on it. Is it possible that my computer is to old to work with Ipod, or may be problem is in OS (my friends PC is running windows 7 OS). I tried to sync the podcast and pictures, and it didn't worked either. The only thing that i can sync is the music. I will be very thankful if you will help me to solve this problem!

  • Help!!! I cant put videos on my iPod!!

i cant put videos on my iPod, i tried everything. yes, they are .mov files. Yes, my iPod IS connected to the computer and iTunes did recognize it.
please help!! why is it not working???

The parameters given are all within specification. However, you have not stated what your average video data rate is. (This may give some indication as to whether or not you have exceeded the iPod player's playback capability.) You have also not indicated the audio data rate nor the sampling rate. (This may provide an indication as to whether or not you are using the low complexity music profile.) Since you did not indicate the application/preset used, there could be other problems. For instance, if you use the QT "Movie to QuickTime" export, then I would have to ask if your audio was in the VBR or CBR mode.

  • Cant watch video on my ipod

hi i have already tranfer ipod video to mepg4 but i cant watch video on my ipod and i cant update my video on my ipod
    please help me

    hot hot,
If you have your iPod set to Manually manage music (iTunes -> Preferences -> iPod -> Music... Manually manage music), then you need to manually manage videos as well.
Just drag and drop them onto the iPod, like you do with music files.

  • I cant tranfer videos to my ipod

i cant transfer any videos to my ipod ive tryed everything that that FAQ and how to make a vid for ur ipod said, but no videos wil tranfer.

Are you insane? Maybe I'll pay when I actually have a job....
Maybe you should just wait to put stuff on your iPod until you have a way to legally obtain it.
We are certainly not the insane ones here. You are justifying theft because you don't have a job? Now THAT'S insane.
Does this apply to clothing, food, and other things you would normally need?
Since you don't have a job... do you typically walk into a grocery store and swipe whatever you feel like eating or drinking that day? Are you going into Old Navy and stealing board shorts & tank tops too?
Grow up, and start being responsible.

I think iPod requires special settings when your captured video is rendered to the .mp4 (AAC/AVC) format. I use SONY Vegas 7 video editor which uses the Mainconcept .mp4 encoder (http://www.mainconept.com). Everything is automatic and it has worked flawlessly for me. Just select the templates specifically for iPod video. One is 320x240. Use this if you are not going to output your iPod to a TV. The other setting is 640X480. This takes significantly more memory but gives excellent quality if you output the iPod video to a TV.
Also, I think that Quick Time Pro (upgrade from Quick Time free program for $30 US) can convert and re-save video files to iPod format (not sure about this). Other video editing programs probably have iPod rendering feature built-in or available on web.
I wouldn't blame Apple. Video output formats are, in my unqualified opinion, very complex since each of many different file formats can be encoded using numerous settings to satisfy specific user and hardware needs. Apple probably chose their format based on widest compatibility (downloaded videos, PodCasts, etc.) Note however that not all Podcasts are compatible with iPod.

  • Cant put videos on my iPod...? Also, how do I delete photos?

I just got a 30G iPod video, and first, put all 2440 of my songs on it, then some photos. First question:
When I go to put a friends episode on the iPod, it takes about 2 hours to convert one episode, then sometimes it says the iPod cannot play the video due to some file type or something, (before it attempts to transfer it to the iPod), then when I select that file to sync to the iPod, it says that it will remove all my photos and music, and replace them with the video? Do I have to put videos on it before my songs or photos??? If not, how do I put videos on my iPod without have to remove all my songs first?
    Second question:
How do I delete photos from my iPod once I put them on the iPod. I put about 4 sets of pictures on it, I wanted to delete some, but couldn't find the option anywhere in the iTunes program to do so. Can anyone help me out??
    Thanks!!
    Darren

"Second question: How do I delete photos from my iPod once I put them on the iPod"
Remove the photo from the folder that you linked to when you set the preference "synchronize photos from" and update the iPod. For example, if the iPod is getting the pictures from the folder "My Pictures," remove or delete them from My Pictures. A tip to prevent all your photos going on the iPod create a folder on your hard drive called called "iPod Photos" or something similar. Under the photo preferences for the iPod, point iTunes to "synchronize photos from" and update from there. If you keep a dedicated folder like this, you won't need to edit your normal pictures folder just for the iPod and you can add and remove picture from it whenever you need to.

  • "Not authorized" to upload videos to 30GB iPod

I just switched my iPod from syncing with one G5 to another. I was able to upload most music but some songs (all purchased via iTunes) said that I am "not authorized to play these songs on this iPod." Then, none my tv shows/videos will upload because "these videos cannot be played on this iPod." I have the updated 1.2 firmware and iTunes 7.0. Why won't purchased music and video upload to my iPod?

Have you authorised your second computer to play your purchases, do the songs and videos play in iTunes? If you have then try deauthorising the computer and authorising it over again: About iTunes Music Store Authorisation and Deauthorisation

  • I CANT PUT VIDEOS IN MY IPOD

i hav an iPod Video 30GB
and i've been trying to put videos in for a while.
i converted the videos to MP4 nd the video went in my iPod but with no image. no Video just sound.
does anyone know how to solve this problem?
if u do, please let me know.
    THANK YOU

Did you "customize" the vid? Meaning did you alter the dimensions beyond the vidpod capacity?
    I think it is 320 x 240 using H.264 Encoding.
Though there is a new codec for 640 x 480 H.264 BLC (Baseline Low Complexity)
I think if you have quicktime pro for windows it should convert fime.
