I changed my Apple ID and it's still showing my old ID and won't let me sign in. Do I have to wait so long?
I Changed my apple ID two days ago and verified it threw my email. When I try to download an app it still shows my old apple is and won't let me download. am I doing something wrong?
OK, so did you change to the new ID on your device in:
Settings>iTunes & App Store
Settings>iCloud (if you did not delete the old iCloud account before you changed your Apple ID, then post back for instructions on how to delete it)
Settings>Messages>Send & Receive
Settings>FaceTime
You need to sign out the old Apple ID in all of these places and sign on the new one.

I channged my Appleid at appleid.com and now the phone stills shows my old id and will not let apps that require id/password prompts work.
Just scroll to the bottom of the screen in the store, log out and then login with the new ID.
As long as you changed it from the manage account option at https://appleid.apple.com/ (ie. replaced the primary email address with a new one), then all your old purchases should be fine. -
icloud still shows my old email address when I try to enter, asking me for a password I no longer have. I need to change my email address and password in ICLOUD but I can't find a way to do it. Any ideas? Thanks.
Logout (System Preferences>iCloud) then login with the new address and password.

you have to go into Settings > Store > Apple ID: (your old ID should be there) Click on the old ID. Sign out. Then Sign in with your new ID.

I have recently updated my apple ID as I have a new email address. I did this successfully for ITunes but it seems my Icloud account is still showing my old ID, so how do I change my Icloud ID? someone has said to my just to delete the account but wont I lose my storage etc? All of this is being done on an Iphone 5, thanks for your help, Mike

Anybody can access the App Store - even without an Apple ID.
What are you saying? You cannot access your purchased apps with your new ID? If you are, that is the way that it works. If you set up a new Apple ID - you can't update the apps that you bought with the old ID. You have to continue to update the purchased apps with the old ID and password since purchases are always tied to the ID that made the purchases.
If you need to sign into your new ID you can do that in Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID. Tap th old ID and sign out then sign in with the new one. -
I changed my apple ID on my online account, but how do I get my apple id changed on my phone? It still reads my old one, so I can't log in to itunes.

My email provider has changed and I have a new one.
I amended this on my computer under my Apple iTunes account without any difficulty and it was authenticated. However, I still have the original email appearing on my iphone 4s and ipad2 and I cannot update that information. Neither can I use my usual password to update my Apps. Please can anyone assist me with simple instructions on how to change these important passwords? How long does it take for Apple to update the App Store with an Apple ID change?
Usually within seconds. You must have done something wrong.

I tried a safe reboot my computer had a grey screen and a spinning gear. Safe boot did not fix the problem.
The last writing on the safe boot said " Launch_msg(): Socket is not connected.
Tried re starting and same grey screen and spinning gearCan you boot to the Snow Leopard DVD?

All since changing to new IDNormally I would say that's because you restricted changes to accounts. Settings>General>Restrictions>Allow Changes>Accounts. If you disable changing accounts the Apple ID will be greyed out, but you said that you were able to change the ID for FaceTime and that shouldn't work either.
for the message about checking the network connection check Settings>General>Date and Time>Set automatically>On. Make sure the time zone is correct as well. Then try restarting the iPad and if you still get the message, reset the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
Mac won't let me Sign Out of iCloud to Change Email
I just changed my Apple ID email and password. On my Macbook (OSX 10.7.5) in System Preferences - iCloud it gives me a password input box with my old email, but won't let me sign out? Any suggestions? Already tried restarting.

It should be Noted that anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID. -

I not so recently changed my email adress I associated with my Apple ID and my iCloud ID. My old email still shows up for iCloud, and won't let me change it to my new email. When I try to delete it and replace it with the proper email, it wants my password, which it won't accept because it's an invalid username.
I had this same issue and got it resolved very simply when I contacted Apple SUpport
Go to https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/ and sign into your infomation
> Go to Manage apple id and primary email address
> Change it to the old apple id that your device is asking for
> Save changes
> Go to Settings > iCloud and sign out of the infomation
> Go back to https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/
> Change it back to the correct apple id
> Go to the email address adn reverify the apple id
> Sign back into iCloud on your device
> Smile
