I changed my apple id now can't access iCloud

I got hacked, the support center gave me new I'd with new email. Now I can't access iCloud because it is stuck on old Id, help please I don't want to lose everything from pictures to downloaded apps. How do I access iCloud with new email and Id? How do I change iCloud Id and keep everything?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > iTunes & App store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

  • Changed my apple id now can't access my icloud acct.  not the same password and I don't know it

Can't access my icloud acct to back up data to another phone.  I am the primary and until I can access my icloud account the other phone won't back up.  How do I access my icloud password.  I have changed my apple id password 4 times and still no success.  Now my apple id is now incorrect.  Yikes!  I have had a call with Technical security and they are puzzled as well.  Couldn't help me... is there anyone that has had this issue?

If you changed the password for your AppleID, the only way to change that on an iOS device is to delete the iCloud account, then add it back with the new/updated login credentials.  It sounds awkward (well, it is I guess), but you just need to do that - delete the iCloud account then add it back.

  • HT202860 changed my apple id now can't access iPhoto

    upgraded to yosemite
    changed apple id
    can not access photos

To use applications that are associated with your old AppleID, you need to sign into the AppStore with the old AppleID, if you need to update the apps or reinstall them.
Is the problem that you need to update to iPhoto 9.6.1 and cannot?
Do you  iPhoto on the Purchases tab of the AppStore, when you sign into the AppStore with your old AppleID?
You may need to unhide your Purchases as described here at this link:  Mac App Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases
If you see the apps among your Purchases, try this User Tip:
Get iPhoto 9.6.1 if you didn't update before OS... | Apple Support Communities
The main idea is to move the iPhoto app to the Trash, so Spotlight does not see it as installed, reload the AppStore, and then to try to download again from the App Store - from your Purchases tab, not from the main page, since you can neither buy iPhoto nor update it, but you can reinstall, if your AppleID is associated with it.

  • Changed my appleID password now can't access icloud.

I changed my appleID password but now I can't sign in to icloud using the new or previous appleID passwords. How do I get out of this loop please?

    Hi grrrhh,
If you are having issues accesssing iCloud after changing your Apple ID password, you may want to confirm the process you use for changing the password, and/or confirm if your new password works at both the Apple ID website (appleid.apple.com) and at iCloud.com. • I changed my Apple ID now I cant access icloud emails. What do I do?

I have changed my Apple ID. Now I cant access my emails. Any suggestions?

If you only changed the name of your iCloud Apple ID, just go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account.  (This will delete the account from your iPad but not from iCloud; it will also delete any data you are syncing with iCloud from your iPad but provided you are signing back into the same account, with just a different name, it will be synced back to your iPad with you sign back in.)  Then sign back in using your updated ID and password and turn syncing back on (when prompted, choose merge).  Here's a video showing this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJMKUo2HTRo.
If you created a new Apple ID for iCloud and need to migrate your data to the new account, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On iPad.  Next, set up a new iCloud account using new Apple ID, then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to the new account.

  • Windows 8 Upgrade and now can't access ICloud contacts or calendar

I just updated to Windows 8 and now I can't access my ICloud contacts or calendar in Outlook.  Tells me "The set of folders cannot be opened. The information store could not be opened. Any suggestions or fixes?

Try temporarily recreating the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then use the password for your current ID to sign out of the account on your Mac (even if it prompts you for the password for the old ID).  If you can sign out, choose Delete at all of the prompts (your data will still be in iCloud), then go back and change your ID back to the new email address again and sign in with it on your Mac.

  • I changed my Apple ID and I cannot access iCloud

I changed my Apple ID and now I cannot access iCloud

You have to delete the old account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the changed ID.  You can choose Delete from My iPad at the prompt.  This only deletes the icloud data from your iPad, not from iCloud.  Provided you are signing back into the same account with just a renamed ID, your data will reappear on your iPad when you sign back in.  However, if you have photo stream photos that are older than 30 days, be sure to save them to your camera roll before deleting the account or you will lose them.  To do this, open your My Photo Stream album, tap Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward pointing arrow), then tap Save to Camera Roll.

  • Had to change Apple ID, now can't get icloud

We have 9 devices, I have changed the iCloud ID on my Mac Pro but can't get other devices to change.   The ID in cloud is grayed out.

To change the iCloud ID on your iOS devices you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the changed ID.  If you have any photo stream photos that you want to keep on the device, save them to your camera roll before deleting the account.

  • I have changed my email address so I changed my Apple ID and password.  Just realised haven't changed icloud details and now can't access as don't know password or security questions.  Want to delete and set up on new Apple ID.

I I have changed my email address so I changed my Apple ID and password.  Just realised haven't changed icloud details and now can't access as don't know password or security questions.  Want to delete and set up on new Apple ID.  Help please???

In order to change the iCloud ID on your device you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • I changed my apple ID, now I can't download my purchases

After changing my apple ID, I can no longer download anything I originally purchased like movies or apps.

If you updated your existing account then you should not have lost any of its purchases - you should only not be able to redownload items if you change countries or if the rights-holder removes them from the store (or if you are in a country where the type of content can't be redownload e.g. films can't be redownloaded in all countries).
Have you tried logging out and back into your account on your device/computer and seeing if they then show in Purchased for redownloading, and checked to see if they are hidden : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases ?

So I changed my appleID and primary email and now I can not access iCloud with iOS7. ICloud shows my old appleID but I can't change it. How do I get iCloud to work with my updated ID?

    Hi ccharat,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you did a good job editing your Apple ID and primary email address, but you didn’t sign out of iCloud on your iOS device before hand. What you may need to do in this situation is go back to the Apple ID website and edit your Apple ID and primary email address back to the email address that is signed in with iCloud (there is no need to verify the account after editing it back to the old account, just changing it back is enough). Once your Apple ID is back to the original account, delete the iCloud account from the iOS device and be sure to keep all info on the device when prompted. After you delete the iCloud account, go back to the website and edit your Apple ID and primary email address back to the new address. Once it is back to the account you would like, you can sign into the iCloud on the iOS device with that new account and merge all of the data when prompted. Please use the following article as a reference.
iOS 7: If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud

    Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Go to Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap “Keep on My [Device]” or “Delete from My [Device].” In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.
    I hope this helps,
    -Joe

  • I changed my appleID and primary email and now I can not access iCloud. ICloud shows my old appleID but I can't change it. How do I get iCloud to work with my updated ID?

I Changed my ISP and therefore changed my email address, which caused me to change my appleID.  I had no problems making the changes to my appleID but now I am having problems with iCloud. My old ID is still showing as my iCloud ID and I can not see where or how to change this. I keep getting an annoying pop up box to enter the password for my OLD appleID as well as error messages that I can't back up to iCloud.
CAn someone please tell me how I can fix this so my iCloud works.
    THank you!!!!!

Firstly, you need to change your details with Apple,  Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.

  • I have totallymessed up outlook on my ipad, attempted to change password, and then couldn't send email and now can't access at all.  can i reload "clean" new version and start all over?

i have totallymessed up outlook on my ipad, attempted to change password, and then couldn't send email and now can't access at all.  can i reload "clean" new version and start all over?

Settings>Mail, contacts, calendars>Your email account name>Delete Account. A window will popu after you select your email account in the settings and there is a large red Delete Button at the bottom of the window.
Settings>Mail, contacts, calendars>Add account. Tap on Add account and start entering your email account details again. If your email account doesn't fit one the per installed accounts in there, tap on Other - and add your account in there.
I would restart the iPad after you delete the email account, just to be starting "fresh" again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button
