Preferably your iTunes account, but it shouldn't really matter for getting homesharing turned on, as long as it's a valid ID. -

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 . I'm having the same issue. I went through the apple website to reset my password, and it was no problem, even let me update my email address and apple id, but my iphone is still not accepting what I know the password is, so I can't delete it, or change the apple id information.

Well, perhaps the problem exists because the Russian phone networks do not support the iPhone. This could be one reason.
The only solution you have is to do into one of the Russian phone stores and ask them to see if they know why the sim cards won't work or last resort, you contact the Apple store in Germany - there is an online Apple store that you can contact and ask them why Russian sim cards won't work in an unlocked iPhone.
Nobody else can really help you - you need to contact the Apple store in Germany directly or go to one of the Russian phone operators and ask them. -

There is no such thing as a "sub-account." Also, you probably mean iTunes library, when you say "account." Your "account" in iTunes is your Apple ID, which is what you use to sign in to the iTunes Store to make purchases. iPods are associated with an iTunes library, not with an Apple ID (iTunes Store account). You'll need to clarify...
So, this is what I think you are saying. You previously shared an iTunes library on a computer with your friend. Your old iPod was synced to that iTunes library.
You got an iPhone, and at that time, you set up your own iTunes library. Is that on a different computer? How does the iPhone affect your question about the iPod?
You got a new iPod. What is your "old iTunes"? Is that the iTunes library you shared with your friend? -

Using another computer I signed into my appleid account and checked all the categories to make sure I did not have pending messages .. How did the photos get onto the iPad ? An iPad will only show in Windows Explorer if there are photos on it that were taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites - if the only photos on it were synced to the iPad from a computer then the iPad will not show in Explorer.

If they were originally synced to your iPad from a computer then to remove them from your iPad connect your iPad to your computer and select it on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes under 'devices' (you can enable the sidebar via control-S on a PC)
And then use the Photos tab on the right-hand side of the screen to remove them
To remove all synced photos select an empty folder on that tab and sync that. -

Syncing only works from your computer to your iPad/iPhone, not the other way around. So you can only transfer your purchased music from the iPhone to your computer.

How bad was the crash? Had the drive to be replaced? Or is there a possibility to use data recovery software on that drive?
