I changed my password and hit the wrong key.  How do I get back in without restoring it and loosing everything.

I had to change the password on my 1st Generation ipod because my freinds knew the password when i changed it i set it to 0000 and when i locked it it would not accept my 0000 password. Is there anyway to unlock my ipod ir change the password or even get the currnt password I have to unlock it without erase all og my apps and restoring it to the factory settings.

No. You will have to Place the iPod in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
