i cant sign in with my aim account.. i can do it with my other one.. but i relly want this one.. what can i do??

Open iChat go to the iChat drop down menu and place the cursor over "accounts", check if you are using the right one. If the account you want to use is not displayed make sure you are logged in with the right account on your Mac. Select "system preferences" from the Apple menu>accounts. If it is not your user account quit iChat and select the right user account and login to your Mac. Now login to iChat again, see if your screen name works. The box "use this account" should be selected in iChat preferences, accounts. If it still doesn't work check if you can use the preferred AIM screen name to login to the AOL/AIM site.
When you successfully can log in to the AOL/AIM site, your AIM screen name is valid. Log out of AOL/AIM. Open iChat>preferences>accounts>click "+" and enter your screen name. Tick the box that says: "use this account". Log in to iChat, use the same details you previously used to login to the AOL/AIM site. Your AIM contact list should appear now. If the contact list contains the names of the buddies you added and it corresponds with your settings in iChat>accounts>security>privacy settings, you can delete the screen name that didn't work for you.

I set up new accounts on my Mac for my kids. Now my kids accounts can't access Safari at all. While in their accounts I can't find it in the applications folder either. I am not good at managing my Mac.

In the kids accounts - is there an Applications icon in the dock ?
If you click that, does it show a load of other apps, but no Safari, and is that why they can't use it... or do you get a message denying them access ?

Whenever you have a problem, please post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) from all tables involved.
Also post the results you want from that data, and an explanation of how you get those results from that data, with specific examples.

It's more likely that you need a different GROUP BY clause, since the GROUP BY clause determines how many rows of output there will be. You may want both a sub-query and a different GROUP BY clause. For example:

You said you wanted "Help with count and sum". I see the COUNT, but what do you want with SUM? No doubt this will be clearer after you post the sample data and results.

Help with writing and retrieving data from a table field with type "LCHR"

Hi Experts,
I need help with writing and reading data from a database table field which has a type of "LCHR". I have given an example of the original code but don't know what to change it to in order to fix it and still read in the original data that's stored in the LCHR field.
Basically we have two Function modules, one that saves list data to a database table and one that reads in this data. Both Function modules have an identicle table which has an array of fields from type INT4, CHAR, and type P. The INT4 field is the first one.
Incidentally this worked in the 4.7 non-unicode system but is now dumping in the new ECC6 Unicode system.

The unicode flag is active.
When I run our report and then to try and save the list data a dump is happening at the following point
LOOP AT T_TAB into L_WA.
As I say, T_TAB consists of different fields and field types whereas L_WA is CHAR 800. The dump mentions UC_OBJECTS_NOT_CONVERTIBLE
When I try to load a saved list the dump is happening at the following point
APPEND T_DATA-RAWDATA to T_TAB.
T_DATA-RAWDATA is type LCHR and T_TAB consists of different fields and field types.
In both examples the dumps mention UC_OBJECTS_NOT_CONVERTIBLE

I was in a chat box with skype and I clicked on the link to copy the text but it came back with "can't copy becuse not permitted in your browser"

I can highlight copy and paste from other web screens with no problem.
The chat window however doesn't give access to the lines that have scrolled past the window so highlighting the text won't work. Other chat windows grab the entire text when the user clicks on the copy link or icon.
I just installed firefox and haven't tried other chat windows to see if the problem could be repeated.

Use the keyboard if the buttons on the web page aren't working.

Please help with Firewall and/or other Settings to Chat (MSN Messenger).

I've tried to chat on all (I think) the messenger programs available for Mac that use a hotmail account or .net passport - Adium, Fire, Mercury (current) and MSN itself - and I have the same problem with all of them: I keep getting cut off/disconnected from MSN! No problems with Yahoo messenger or Yahoo ID (although it can be a bit slow sometimes), just with .net passport account.
I'm pretty sure it's got something to do with Firewall and/or related settings, but after months of trying to fix it, I'm about to give up... please help!
Currently the following Firewall ports are all open:

5060, 9000, 9010 (UDP – typed like that)
including:
Personal File Sharing
Windows Sharing
Remote Login - SSH
and Printer Sharing.
In my most recent disconnected conversation, Mercury logged a "socket fired exception" error.
I'm on a broadband/adsl connection, shared with hubby's pc through ethernet (and he never gets disconnected from msn, btw).
ANY suggestions would be welcome, but apart from the above, please tell me how/where to find what you tell me to look at or for, because I'm a new Mac user (six months), and on top of that I'm blonde

Someone very kindly pointed out that my Firewall is actually Off (probably because I omitted to click on the Start button)... I did say I'm blonde

Can anyone help with icloud and apple accounts getting mixed up on 2 phones?

Basically husband upgraded from 4s to 5c. Gave dad 4s. I tried to set his dad up with icloud and apple id but didn't realise husbands old sim card was in 4s. Now neither phone works and husband very annoyed his apple id and password don't work anymore. Please help!!!

So husband got new phone. Was all set up and up and running when we left the shop
Gave dad the old phone. It was locked to Vodafone so we had to ask them to unlock. He then got his three sim cut down to fit.
Weeks after husband had his 5c we went to dads to set his 4s up. I upgraded it to latest software iOS something. Anyway didn't realise it was husbands old sim still in phone.
After upgrade it asked me to set up apple account (I think) could have been icloud. Anyway I started setting it up with dads email and password choice. Husband then saw message on his 5c saying his dads email was being added to something on his phone.
At this point I left alone but now when husband tries to use his apple id for apps etc it says invalid user id or password. It's as though the 2 have got mixed up. Bit it won't let him reset his password?
Does this make sense?

Need help with account sharing and email

I'm an inexperienced Mac user with a G5, dual 2.0 processors and 1.5 meg ram. Just installed iLife 05 and having an iPhoto problem. My spouse and I have separate user accounts on the same pc. We'd like to share our photos with one another (they're actually the same photo's). On my account, iPhoto email is "mail", no problem. On hers it displays Entourage. I can't change it from preferences pane. Greyed out. On my account it shows America on line but the email icon is "mail" Can you help. We both want "mail"
What is the proper way to share this account? Do we check preferences and share or do we go to the User accounts and move the photo library? Please provide a basic explanation to one who is not really familiar with the workings of a Mac. That's why I went to a Mac in the first place. It just generally works.

Can anyone help with iPlayer and Sky Mobile?

Ok, I'm so close to giving up with this useless phone. There are 3 apps on my N97 which give me a constant headache.
BBC iPlayer
Sky Mobile*
YouTube
*I should point out that I only use Sky Mobile to set recordings on my Sky+. I do not use it for, nor have any desire to use it for actually watching Mobile TV.
All of these apps work absolutely fine over my home WiFi network. It's when I try to use them over 3G (my Vodafone Live! connection) that I start running in to trouble.
All 3 give me connection problems, errors, and simply refuse to load half the time when on 3G. I got so annoyed I just did a hard reset the other week, and magically all three started working again. However, now 2 of them are failing me again. YouTube (touch wood) is working fine at the moment, but iPlayer and Sky Mobile just aren't.
iPlayer sometimes works. But sometimes I get script errors (unable to load content), and sometimes it says something about checking my connection settings. I wouldn't mind but it's not actually possible to access any options for the iPlayer. Even in application settings there are no options you're able to set.
Sky Mobile simply flat out refuses to work ever on 3G. But it did after I did a hard reset for a couple of weeks, now it just stopped working! It wont even load. It just gives the error message 'Unable to connect to network - please check connection settings" or something along those lines.
I've tried so many different things. Tried setting my internet connections to 'always ask', tried setting it to default to Vodafone Live! all the time, tried setting my video streaming settings to WAP, all sorts. Every combination I can think of.
I just can't wait to get rid of this phone. I've put so many people off buying one. They see it and think it's all swish and cool, and I just say 'Don't. You'll regret it'. I can't wait for my contract to be up so I can upgrade to an iPhone now Vodafone have got them.
Can anyone help with these problems? Thanks in advance, but I don't hold out much hope...

About iPlayer.
Have a chat with Vodaphone. Streaming iPlayer over 3G IS allowed on Vodaphone contract, unlike my O2 contract. As long as your contract allows it, and you have the correct AP address, it should be fine. Vodaphone should be able to give you the setting.
Mine only works over Wlan.
FWIW, "... streaming over 3G is not currently available on iPhone handsets on any mobile network".
p.s. Just to be clear. You say "Tried setting my internet connections to 'always ask', tried setting it to default to Vodafone Live!".
iPlayer uses the Nokia browser "Web". So that's where you should make the setting "Ask when needed". It should then offer you the choice of whatever you've set in Destinations> Internet> then select whatever you've chosen as your GPRS connection.(as advised, or sent to you by Vodaphone).

Help with resultset and looping thru a sql filed

I have a SQL statement which connects two tables with accounting number, the table2 have multiple rows for one accounting number in table1.
So I did if else condition in accounting number in resultset as following:

So..when accounting number is same as previous it shouldn't get all data again from table 1 ,it should go to only else if condition to get data from table 2 , it should go to my if block only when there is a new accounting number, in other words when there is next record in table1

I need something which gets all data for every new account number in table 1
Now for that same account number, table2 have 3 rows including that account number 3 times (I am connecting this 2 tables with acc no, table 1 doesn't have duplicate acc no but table 2 does)So my resultset runs 3 times for the first record in table 1, because for that accno table 2 has 3 entries

Help with erasing and syncing please - what will be erased?

I have somehow created a 2nd itunes account and my iphone won't sync with the first one. It is syncing with the 2nd one however I cannot add new music - if I try on the 2nd one I get a message asking if I want to erase this iphone and sync with this itunes library. Below this is a warning that erasing and syncing will replace the contenst of this iphone with the contents of this itunes library. What exactly will be erased? If it's just the music and photos then I won't mind - my phone is new and not got much on it. However I don't want to lose all my apps and contacts information. I know I can back it all up but I am not very knowledgable about all this - I am new to itunes and iphones just last month! Any advice gratefully recieved - thank-you!

OK so its been a LONG time since messing with this but now I have to get it done. I have tried all this that is stated in this thread and I can do what I am looking for IF I start a new file, draw a few shapes, apply the pathfinder divide.
However, with this file I am working with I can not figure out why I cant get it to work.
Again, what i am trying to do is have a LOT of lines crossing over the edges of the templates that are the shapes in my AI file. Think 80's style Eddie Van Halen guitar. They're going to be graphic for my sons motorcycle for his birthday.
I was trying to simply use the rectangle tool to draw various black and white lines and then somehow cut the overhangs off my templates.
Very frustrating that I cant figure out what I am doing wrong!! Especially since I am fairly proficient in After Effects, Premiere, and Photoshop. Trying to learn Illustrator though!!

Help with AE and USB HD setup

Not even sure where to begin. I guess I'm so frustrated with this whole setup.
I went out and purchased a Airport Extreme 802.11n and a G-Tech 250GB USB 2.0 hard drive with the hope of creating a shared network drive for myself (MBP 15") and my wife Dell laptop (Win XP). I can get the AE setup for both of us to the internet without any problems. The issue is with the USB HD. Supposedly, I should just be able to connect the HD to the AE and have my MBP see it and mount it. A USB HD icon does not show up on my desktop, even when I run Airport Disk Utility. I was on the phone with the Apple Level 1 tech without success. He suggested I contact the Level 2 guys in the AM (thanks ). When I connect the HD directly to my computer, it mounts without any problems. Anybody have any thoughts of what I'm doing wrong? I can only imagine trying to set this for my wife's Windows PC later. Ugh!

Connecting a USB hard disk to your base station
If your base station supports it, you can connect a USB hard disk to the USB port on your base station and computers on your network (both wired and wireless) can connect to it to access, share, and store files and data.
Plug the hard disk into the USB port on the back of the base station. If you connect a USB hub to the base station, you can connect multiple hard disks to it, and access them from the wireless network.
Format the hard disk using your computer. On a Macintosh, format the hard disk using Mac OS Extended. On a Computer using Windows XP, use FAT32. AirPort Utility does not support formatting disks.
Open AirPort Utility, select your base station, and then choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu. Enter the base station password if necessary. Click Disks in the toolbar.
You can set access privileges for the hard disk, and give it a workgroup name on the File Sharing pane.
AirPort Utility is located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder on a Mac, and in Start > All Programs > AirPort on a computer using Windows.
Setting up user accounts on your AirPort Base Station
You can set up accounts for users of your wireless network to control how a user shares USB hard disks connected to your base station.
To set up a user account:
1. Open AirPort Utility, located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder on a computer using Mac OS X, and in Start > All Programs > AirPort on a computer using Windows.
2. Select your base station, and then choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu. Enter the base station password if necessary.

4. Choose "With accounts" from the Secure Shared Disks pop-up menu, and then click Configure Accounts.
5. Click Add , enter the user name, and then give the user a password.
