I click on "Upgrade to iTunes 7" and nothing happens. What do I do? No window comes up, not even an error message. It is as if it is ignoring me.
Thanks.

Hey sask,
Are you clicking on this inside of iTunes? A firewall my be denying iTunes access to the Internet.
You can download iTunes from here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Are you trying to restore as new or from a back up? Is iTunes  and your computer all up to date?

  • HT1386 I click on my device to sync and nothing happens

I click on my device to sync and nothing happens

What exactly happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

  • Clicl play on iTunes 7 and nothing happens

Installed fine. Looks great. However, I click on a song and nothing. No progress, nothing. Another song, nothing. I've checked volume settings everything but, I cannot play a thing! No audio at all!

Did all of that and still nothing. I see the song title and album but the song does not start! This is true for all of them. I can play and hear iTunes music videos however.
This *****. Of course it happens when I am showing my neighbor ( a Windoze user) the New iTunes and how awesome it is!
Please, what is going on here?

  • Why can't I attach files using Yahoo email? I've clicked on 'Attach files more easily' and nothing happens. With all other browsers, I have no issues attaching files.

I want to attach Word files to some of my yahoo emails. Instead of the word 'attach' like on all other browsers, Fierfox wants me to click on 'Attach files more easily' and download this. Nothing happens leaving me unable to use Firefox if I wish to use my yahoo email and send attachments, files or pics.

The only way I can open a PDF is to launch the Reader X software and click "open files" from there.  Obviously, this doesn't help me since I need to email PDFs to clients, and printing 'n faxing isn't an option.
You don't need Adobe Reader to email PDFs to clients.

  • Suddenly I can't access itunes on my computer.  I can on my IPod but not on the computer.  I click on the itunes icon and nothing happens.

Suddenly, I can't access the Itunes on my computer.  I can on my IPod, but not from my home computer, where my library is stored.  ANy suggestions?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • Upgraded Itunes to 6 nothing happens when started.  Anybody found problem.

I upgraded to Itunes 6 and nothing happens on start. Tried all the fixes on Apple site and that I have read about in Apple Itunes forum. Anybody have a fix that works for this problem. Running Windows XP and have tried shutting down firewall as a fix but does not solve problem.
I guess next trip is to the Apple Store. So far this is one of the worst upgrades I have seen Apple do. I am a long time user.

I appreciate that this response won't be terribly helpful to you, but there is an obvious solution to all the problems raised on this forum about iTunes upgrades not working: throw away your iPod. Other MP3 players are available, none of which use Apple's codec or DRM. That way, you're not trapped with a company that clearly doesn't care how much money you're spent with them, it isn't interested in you when its products don't work.
Let's all start looking behind the wonderful brand image and get to grips with the reality of Apple: it holds its customers in contempt and believes that its obligations to you end the moment it has your money. Even Microsoft handles technical issues better than Apple because it does so out in the open - doesn't that speak volumes?
You have a choice. Ditch Apple.

Try updating your iTunes using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file downloaded from the Apple website:

  • TS1424 I click on purchase and nothing happens, why?

I click on purchase on a song and nothing happens, or it will just play the song but not purchase it, why?

Repair permissions, restart your computer & try again.

  • I bought a book on iTunes (pamphlet on upgrading to Mountain Lion) and I double click on it and nothing happens.

I bought a book on iTunes (a small pamphlet on upgrading to Mountain Lion) and I double click on it and nothing happens. iTunes store does indicate that the file was downloaded.

  • I upgraded to iTunes 8 and now it wont open at all

Ok so I upgraded to iTunes 8 and now every time I try to open my iTunes it says that iTunes has unexpectedly quit and it asks me if I want to relaunch it so I click relaunch and the same thing happens. iTunes is like my second life so can somebody pllleeeeaaaaassseeee help me!!

I would first see if you can open iTunes in a test user. This will give us some direction in troubleshooting the issue.
    To create a test user:
    1. Open System Preferences from your Apple menu
    2. Click on the Accounts icon
    3. If you see a closed padlock in the lower left hand corner, click on it and enter your admin password to allow changes
    4. Then, click the + button
    5. Enter the information you are prompted for, and then click "Create Account"
    6. Restart the computer and log in to the new account
Once logged in, see if you can open iTunes. If not, I'd recommend reinstalling iTunes:
    Go to your Applications folder
    Drag iTunes.app to the Trash
    Restart the Mac
    Empty the Trash
    Download & install from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download
If you can open it in the test account, return to your original account and try removing your iTunes preferences file.
Quit iTunes if it is running.
    Navigate to /User/Library/Preferences/
    Drag com.apple.itunes.plist to the trash
    Restart the Mac
    Launch iTunes again
If it still isn't working, try recreating the library per these steps:
