I click run, firefox downloads, and then the download window disappears and nothing happens?

I follow the directions on the site, wich say to click run. So I do, and it is supposed to run after its downloaded, but then when it downloads the download window closes and nothing happens.

To Expand on Defcom's answer
It is possible when starting ichat for the First time to Click through the Start Up Screens and not enter any info. (no Accounts).
When you restart iChat it has no Accounts and therefore no Buddy Lists to Display and "Nothing" appears to be the result.
However the Menu Bar should show (until you click the Screen or another icon in the Dock) iChat in the Menu Bar.
If this is the case, click on the word iChat (Menu will drop)
Chose Preferences then Accounts.
You can then set up Accounts (Screen Names by pressing the + button at the bottom of the Left hand side (which should always List Bonjour whether you use it or not).

After starting up Windows I double click the Firefox icon and nothing happens. So I have to double click Firefox again and it opens. But now I have 2 open Firefox browsers. What do think makes this happen?

I always have to click on Firefox twice in order for it to open because nothing happens on the first try. The first try never ever works.

The Cloud by the song indicates that is is an iTunes purchase but it is not downloaded on the iPod. If you only want download iTunes purchases to show in the Music app go to Settings>itunes and pp Store and turn off Show aLL.

The content of the Share menu will depend on the file format. For PDFs the menu will be nearly empty and iPhoto and aperture are missing.

Sounds like you downloaded the OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 Update or Combo Update. Neither will work on a version of OS X prior to OS X Mavericks. Those are only used to update an existing install of OS X Mavericks. The Combo will update any version from 10.9.0 thru 10.9.4. The Update will only update version 10.9.4.
You need the full installer of OS X Mavericks from the App Store. However, the App Store no longer offers OS X Mavericks. Yosemite is the new FREE OS X.

I first got my Mac and clicked on the iChat icon and I didn't set up any accounts.
I clicked on it again the next day and nothing pops up. I don't know how to set up any accounts because no window pops up or anything.

I hit the firefox button and nothing happens. Since you don't have a repair function, can I save the bookmarks before I reinstall the program?

Sorry you are having problems.
A clean reinstall will not remove bookmarks unless you take options to remove data or deliberately remove your profile.
You may and it could be prudent to back up your Firefox profile before doing the reinstall. At least look for and backup the data base file places.sqlite . Try Firefox's safe mode; for instance by holding shift key when you click the icon, before considering reinstalling.

I keep getting window up saying urgent update recommending download, but when i do try, all i get is a blue and white bar moving . i have left it run for hours and nothing happens. what is it?

i downloaded new FF 2 weeks ago. Since then i keep getting update window coming up every day highly recommending i update but when i try, nothing happens except blue/white moving bar at top of window. i have left it run for hours and no progress, so i close it. It would be a great idea to uninstall Norton - you don't need it and it has a pretty poor reputation for mucking up otherwise healthy Macs.

Edit: To see whether you actually have Norton installed launch Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder. If it's installed you'll likely see some Norton entries there.
Also, in System Preferences>Users & Groups or Accounts, depending on OS)>Login Items, it might be listed.

Double clicked on iTunesSetup.exe, and nothing happens!

That's it. I double clicked on iTunesSetup.exe, and absolutely nothing happens. I checked Task Manager, and it seems that iTunesSetup.exe executes for a brief second or two, then exits.
I checked my Local Settings\Temp folder, and there is a iTunes.exe file in there. I double clicked on it, and it says something like this is not a valid Windows application or something, please contact the vendor.

that one may have gotten corrupted during the download. try emptying your TEMP directory, deleting that installer file, and downloading a fresh one. does the new one work any better?

Team Planner not working. Click on Team Planner and nothing happens.

I have Project Professional 2010 and using with Project Server 2010. When I go the the View ribbon and click on Team Planner, nothing happens. Is this a view or a piece of functionality? I looked in Organizer and also do not see any view named Team Planner.

Navigate to the Task ribbon and then click the Gantt Chart pick list button (little down-arrow below the Gantt Chart button). Examine the list of Views shown on the pick list. Do you see the Team Planner view listed? If not, click the More
Views item. In the Organizer dialog, do you see the Team Planner view listed in the left side of the dialog? If the answer is NO to both questions, then I would suspect that someone has intentionally deleted this new default View from your Microsoft
Project 2010, and you will probably need to reinstall the software to get it back. By default, the Team Planner view should be available to you in Microsoft Project 2010. Let us know if this helps.

The persona selection window says rollover to see, click to load. I roll the mouse over a choice, nothing happens. why not?

In the welcome window when it offers 8 personas to look at, refer to question.

Previewing a persona only works on sites that are whitelisted via an allow exception.
Tools > Options > Security : "Warn me when sites try to install add-ons": Exceptions
Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the 'Site Preferences'.
