I still cannot get into the "Add-ons" tab; the dialog box closes. I have tried using the keyboard instead of the mouse; same problem.

Can't install plug-ins (3rd party namely, Nik Creative Suite) in Photoshop Ext. CS6. Anybody else? They seem to install OK but when you go to use them, the program can't load them because it says that the filters are not where they are supposed to be? I have just started this Creative Cloud deal. Can't install Plug ins

Hello, I've been trying to install BorderFX but no success. The installation well through just fine but I don't see it in File>Export. It says No Plug-ins Installed. The only guide on BorderFX's support page regarding the installation process is to follow the .mkpg installation package, which I did.
When I try to go to HD>Library>App Support>Aperture>Plug Ins it won't let me go into the folder because I don't have permission? but I am sure I am logged in as Admin. :S
Help anyone?

Maybe you can help me. I have tried to install the Photoshelter plug-in for Aperture and while it looks like I am doing everything right, it doesn't appear in the Export menu as it should. Can you help? Thanks!

Can't install plug-ins on 2nd hard drive

I have a 60 GB hard drive running Tiger and Logic 7 Pro. I've been having the issue that when i try to install new AU plug-ins, I don't have the option of installing them on my secondary hard drive, which is 250 GB. The reason I bought the secondary drive was because I was told the operating hard drive should only run OS and Logic to be most efficient. The latest example is the AU version of the Crystal synth (freeware). Any suggestions?

Hotmail works fine both on FF 10 and 11. Probably an add-on or plugin recently installed is responsible for your problem. Note that the "Use custom settings for history" selection allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting this doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.<br />
Firefox shows the "Use custom settings for history" selection as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.<br />
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History" (Never remember history means that Private Browsing mode is active).
"Use custom settings for history" stays selected if at least one of the History or Cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes from the defaults are made.

I did followed your advice immediately and erased all the service number as well as S/Ns.
Can you, however, give me any "direct number" through which I can get hold of someone and request for what you're suggesting?
I believe I had talked with the person by the name of "Charlie" (I think... I hope I'm correct...) when I was having the same problem with the last device. He was very kind and helpful, though I ended up getting the device that brought the same problem.
Charlie told me that if I had any more problems I should call him. But I forgot to take down his direct number.
Or maybe I should call the main office and ask for him. But my memory is questionable as to his name, and besides I don't even know his last name either. There could be more than one "Charlies" in Palm.
So, if you could somehow email me some direct number (other than the one that keeps on hooking me up with those people in the overseas who are answering the phone only to sympathize with & apologize to me but can only issue a false hope with the SRO#. It's in every text-input app I use in my normal day.....most frustrating as you have to do a doublecheck especially in documents which do not have any special spellcheck system. I've done the cleanmymac, maintenance, cocktail, PRAM reset, Font Cache Smash fixes.....and still I'm dogged by this. Its almost as though the motherboard or some interface system is 'sleeping' longer than it should (if there are any input areas of the MBP which rest during short periods of inactivity) and then the initial keystrokes on the keyboard are somehow not registered and only 'kick in' once half of a new word's characters are already on the screen........grrrrr.

Try to reboot the iPhone, if that doesn't help make a backup via iTunes, and restore the iPhone via iTunes.

Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox are most probably caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update and/or a malfunctioning Real Player browser plugin.

Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Security tab and click Advanced. If necessary grant your account and system full control to this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to replace permissions on child objects which will repair permissions throughout the library. This is the XP dialog but Windows 7 shouldn't be too different.

Safari 5.0.3 Slow Despite lack of 3d party plug-ins or add-ons

My Safari browser suffers from hanging builds of web pages and content over and over. I have tried to recover the accustomed speed and efficiency of earlier Safari versions without success. I've followed nearly all the relevant fixes identified in this forum to no avail. As best I can determine I have no third-party plug-ins or add-ons to remove or test. A couple of weeks ago I reinstalled Safari 5.0.3 without noticeable improvements, so that is not the issue I assume.

Carolyn, I just used the disk utility once again with no indicators of problems either to repair or exceptional preference mismatches (same ones we always get). I did not try a different account today, but I have on numerous other occasions with no measurable difference. However, just today I did go to the System Preferences for Network/DNS and moved the two DNSs recommended on this forum to the top of the list. The list consists of those two plus two from Charter.net that were assigned when I got their service. Just by listing those two forum-recommended DNSs to the top seemed to have had some meaningful difference, at least with the web sites I've used tonight. Does that mean something to you? As a matter of interest, just what the devil are DNSs and how do they affect browser performance?

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair".
Does iTunes launch properly now?
