I cloud deleted my entourage calendar!

I just installed it today. My ical is still there but my entourage calendar is wiped clean! Please HELP!
How can I get back my calendar info in Entourage and DELETE my icloud account?
I'm afraid if I delete the iCloud I'll lose the iCAL calender which is all I have now with that info. Thanks all for any help!

I have Entourage and iCal on my iMac. I sync only to my AT&T iPhone. I do not have mobile me. All I did was sign up yesterday morning for an iCloud account after my mac did some sort of an update and then asked me if I wanted one. I set it up and after that my entourage calendar dissapeared.
A friend emailed me and talked me through using Time Machine (which I never used before). I was able restore to an older version of Entourage from the day before and got my calendar back so I'm good now. I'll never sign up with iCloud again.
It should warn people that it will delete or change your setting in Entourage. I don't know how it does, but it does and never tells you.
Thank you everyone who did take the time to try and help me with this. I hope I get better with this. At least maybe I can warn others about what can happen with iCloud and Entourage calendar!

How do I permanently delete the Entourage calendar?

I'd like to remove the Entourage calendar from iCal, but it quickly returns after I delete it. Entourage is no longer on my computer. I uninstalled it using the Microsoft utility and then reinstalled only Word, Excel, and Power Point. It was gone for a little while, but came back tonight.

UPDATE:
I found an application called "Microsoft Sync...(something)" and sent it to the trash. The calendar kept reappearing until I emptied the trash can. Since I've done that the calendar has yet to appear.
I believe my Microsoft applications automatically updated yesterday and that would explain why the problem came back.

Restoring iCal or Entourage calendar events

Having difficulties with MobileMe creating duplicates of the same calendar event and contacts. Entourage is my application of choice but I noticed ical was creating the same contact and calendar event every time I created it in Entourage. Further, iCAL displayed several Entourage calendars in the calendar list. So I assumed it was iCal that was updating all my devices (2 iphones, imac, macbookpro and ipad. So I deleted all the entourage calendars except one appearing in ical, then synced mobileme and ALL MY CALENDAR EVENTS DISAPPEARED in both ical and entourage on all the devices and at me.com. What's even more strange is that ipad still shows the 8 entourage calendars none of which have any events.
So what has this to do with Time Machine? Since everything was gone I figured I'd restore an earlier ical and/or entourage from Time Machine. But when I did, none of the events reappeared! Do I need to restore a specific file rather than the application? If so, where is that file?

It looks like when you deleted the Entourage calendars in iCal you deleted the wrong one, the one with all of your events. If your events are still on your iPad, I think we can get them back into MobileMe, and from there to Entourage. Fortunately for you, your iPad isn't syncing correctly, so it didn't get the instructions to delete everything.
On your iPad, go to the Settings app. click on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars".
Click on your MobileMe account.
Turn Calendars off. When it asks, choose to "Keep on my iPad."
Now the calendar events on your iPad are separate from MobileMe. Turning Calendar sync back on and choosing to merge your events with MobileMe should add them to MobileMe.
In the future, before you delete a calendar in iCal, uncheck all the other calendars so you can see what is in the calendar you are deleting. My guess is you had multiple Entourage calendars with the same color.

ICal calendar data disappeared taking with it Entourage calendar and Mobile

I installed Snow Leopard on Friday on two Macs which are both registered on Mobile Me. My iPhone is also synched via Mobile Me. Just looking at my calendar in Entourage today(Monday) the events started disappearing. I opened iCal and the calendars were blank. I then went to Mobile Me and the calendar was there for about thirty seconds before it disappeared. Lastly, I booted my MacBook and the iCal calendars were empty as well as my iPhone. I tried to drag Calendar cache to the desktop and restarted iCal, but still empty. I have no archive calendar. The address book is fine and intact. First question - what happened? and Secondly, is there an archive available on Mobile Me that I can retrieve? Is this Snow Leopard related? I live by that calendar, so I need to get it back. Any suggestions?

I'm presuming you don't have Time Machine turned on, so you can't go back to find your previous calendar. If you don't, sadly I can't think of a way of retrieving it.
If you still have your address book my advice is to back that up straight away. (File, Export, Address Book Archive).
This is something that's happened to me before (prior to Snow Leopard). Mine began when I started getting double events in Entourage, when I decided in desperation after playing around with various options to delete the Entourage calendar in iCal, I did something to completely confuse the two systems and I could not get Entourage to re-recognise iCal. I read somewhere other threads that what I had to do was to turn off the synchronisation between Exchange and iCal for several cycles (several days) then reset it to sync again and be patient. I eventually got it back but remain paranoid and regularly take a back up of iCal (File, Export, iCal Archive). I haven't found a way to completely avoid the synching problems that happen from time to time like double events and not always synching. So I just back up regularly, take screenshots of calendars as well, and regularly check, turn synchronisation on and off while making decisions to override either Entourage or iCal when I turn it back on, and occasionally manually correct info. For me the problem is definitely tied up with the link to Entourage - if I turn of that synchronisation with iCal, then MobileMe works flawlessly. But i need the Entourage exchange calendar to be synchronised for work, so have to live with the flaws.

Something has changed with my iphone syncing and I don't know what. I use entourage exclusively for my calendar and contacts on my Mac computer.
My calendars were syncing fine using itunes, both with wifi and connected. Then some things disappeared from my calendar, and I can't get them back. New events sync fine, but my computer has events that will not go over at all. I even tried to replace all my phone calendar with everything from my entourage calendar, and again the same things did not move. What could I be doing wrong.
Now, I have a bunch of stuff on my Mac entourage calendar double. There is sooooo much work to get that back to normal. I am starting to think that my phone and calendar syncing is tooooo much work. I don't have the time for this.

But once again, I do not want to lose my other texts, app progress, and photos. I could sync the photos but i would still lose the app progress and texts. I would only restore if it was the only option left, but the other space, as already stated, isnt the main concern. The main concern is those 'deleted' texts. If they go, then a good size chunk of the other space goes. I know you CAN delete texts for good. It worked fine before. All i want to know is why its not working for me now, and how to fix it.
I also know that when you delete texts on your iphone, they get marked for deletion, however they stay on your device (thats why they show up when you search for them.) then when you sync your device with itunes, the texts marked for deletion should disappear. When i synced they didnt disappear. Thats what i need an explanation/solution for. Why the texts marked for deletion didnt get fully deleted after the sync.

Apple advice on importing Entourage calendar from iCal - taking forever!

got onto Apple support today asking about moving our entourage calendar to iCal. So, sounded simple enough. Opened iCal, chose import, selected entourage and away we go. 7 hours later (no, I'm not exaggerating) it has got about 3/4 of the way and now the progress bar hasn't moved more than about a millimeter in the past hour. What the heck do I do now? It's almost 2am here - just let it continue running until the morning? At this rate it might take the rest of the week to complete!
Why would it take so long? Is this normal? Any faster way to achieve this? What about if I sync entourage and iCal, then when everything is there, export the entourage calendar from within iCal, then delete it, and then import it into the Home or Work calendar - would that work. This is so frustrating

Same thing here. Drives me crazy. Been importing for days now, always have to force quit the app since it's stuck at around 75% of the import.

Make sure you are adding events to the iCloud calendar as that is the only one that syncs with iCloud. Check your default calendar by going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar. Be sure you have selected the calendar listed under your iCloud account name as your default.
If you're settings are correct and it still won't sync, try going to Settings>iCloud and turning Calendars to Off, then back On. If the calendar in iCloud has all your events, when you are prompted about what to do with the iCloud calendar when you turn it off, choose Delete from My iPhone. It will be synced back to your phone when you turn Calendars back to On.

You don't have any music stored in your personal iCloud account. If you see cloud symbols next to songs in your song list those are only links to your previously purchased music in the iTunes store so you can download them.

ICloud sending hundreds of Entourage calendar replies

My boss just switched to using the iCloud and each morning since, I receive hundreds of his old Entourage calendar replies. It appears as though it's the exact same replies each morning. Clients said they are receiving them as well. Any suggestions on how we stop it? It is just calendar replies and nothing else.

iCloud and Entourage / Outlook for Mac are not compatible when it comes to Calendar sync over icloud. Only iCal is a supported app for iCloud.
Others that tried to trick Microsoft products into iCloud syncing found all their Entourage calendars deleted for example. It does not work with iCloud at all. ( IMAP Mail yes, but that's a different story ).

Problems with iPhone Entourage calendar sync

My iPhone and Entourage have been syncing fine, but recently every time I sync them, the iPhone calendar is wiped clean - no events, even thought they're all still in Entourage. Occasionally, if I reset sync history in iSync and turn off and then turn on sync settings in Entourage, it works. But I need to work out how to make it work every time. Any tips? PS contacts sync fine.

Do you know if your solution will also work to eliminate duplicate Entourage calendars in Itunes and on the Iphone? Every time a change is made in Entourage Preferences Sync Services, a new Entourage calendar is added in Itunes, Ical and, consequently, on the Iphone, after a sync is performed. All but one of the Entourage calendars is empty and serve no purpose just being listed. I initially tried deleting the calendars in ICal and ended up wiping my Entourage calendar clean. Fortunately, I'm transitioning from a Palm T/X and have all my data up to date there, so I was able to restore my Entourage calendar. I only have 1 Entourage calendar showing in Entourage, but now have 4 Entourage calendars showing up in Ical, Itunes and on my phone. I'd LOVE to get rid of the empty ones!

Entourage Calendar and Time Machine

My entourage database corrupted and it wiped all of my calendar events when I did a clean restore. Mail is fine. But all my calendar items are gone. When I log into exchange via web outlook all of my calendar events are gone so it looks like entourage just wiped everything. Is there a way to retrieve them through Time Machine?

Time Machine backs up snapshots of your entire Entourage database (which includes mail, contacts, notes and calendars). So yes, in theory you should be able to retrieve an older version of the database. (home/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2004 or 2008/Identities/Main Identity/Database)
However, it sounds like your syncing system has wiped the "cloud" version of the calendar, so you may want to turn off your syncing or even disconnect from the network before you recover, to prevent wiping out your recovered database.

I have two users on my macbook. I use entourage for personal organisation and i would like to share this entourage calendar with the two users. To make it more clear: Every user should see the same entourage calendar. How can manae to get this result? Is there some button in the system settings, that i need to push?

Can't View my entourage calendar in "list view"

when i try to print my entourage calendar in ical in a "list view" nothing happens (you cant even see the calendar) it only shows the rest when i un-select the entourage calendar (if I un-click the calendar all the rest can be viewed) any ideas?

Entourage calendar in iCal is blank

I've got my Entourage calendar synced to iCal, so that I can update in Entourage, but alse iSync to my phone. This has always worked well for me, until recently... iCal does show an "automatically created by Entourage" calendar, but it's empty, no data!
I've tried various tricks posted in these discussions (including toggling the views, resetting sync services, restarting the applications...) but none seems to work.
Can anyone help me get the data from my Entourage calendar to show up in my iCal, and keep itself up to date (I can import in all in one shot as a stand-alone calendar, but that's not the point, I want to edit in Entourage)?

I've never gotten mine to work correctly though. It just shows the calendar in iCal that's blank. The Address Book Application is completely blank.
