I connected my ipod to a netbook to play music there but when i disconnected it the music on my ipod wouldn't play it stays at 0:00
I connected my ipod touch to a netbook to try and play music when i disconnected the ipod my music would not play all it does is stay at 0:00 ive tried restarting it than i tried to restoring it but nothing seems to work what can i do?
Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync and resync all the music.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

I am using ITUNES 11 on Win 7 64 bit. I can download podcasts to my IPOD touch just fine but when I click on the ITUNES store I get an error message that stays "ITUNES has stopped working". How do I trouble shoot or fix this? Thanks
Try gn_id's suggestion from the following post:

I have a 6th generation ipod nano, When i plug it into the itunes it shows the music i have on there, but when i disconnect it says i have no music. What do i do?
You may want to do a Restore on the iPod in iTunes. The Restore button is on the iPod's Summary screen in iTunes. This will erase the iPod, re-install its software, and set it to default settings. If the problem is caused by data corruption in the iPod's storage, a Restore should fix it.

My IPod Nano is synched to my ITunes library and shows up under Devices, but when I click on the Device name, all of the music is "grayed out" and I can't click on anything.
In order for this content to not appear grayed out, you need to enable the Manually manage music option from under the iPod's Summary tab in iTunes. Keep in minding that manually managing your iPod's contents is different from having content automatically sync to your device from iTunes. See here for more information.

So ever since I downloaded the new version of iTunes, I have no idea how to add music to my iPod. On the last version, their was a box next to the iTunes Store box that said "_______'s iPod". Because I just used to drag my music to the box and add it through there, I have no idea where I would "drag" my music file now to add it. Simply, I just need to know how to add music to my iPod again in the most recent version of iTunes on my computer (11.1.5).
Cntrl + S will enable the side bar.
Then you can manually manage media on your iDevice as you always have.
Alternatively, control the content on the device by syncing the playlists and other media that you desire to the device. -
i was able to restart my ipod several times because of this problem but it doesn't really show any update in its music playlist.
Are you checking the items you want synced to the iPod?
Have yu tried resetting the iPod. Nothing will be lost.

button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. -
When i transfer a song from my itunes library to ipod nano it says "cannot syn 13019" it appears to transfer song to the music list on ipod but when you disconnect from the computer the songs aren't on the ipod
No, I can't use a charger - I need to recharge the iPod off the computer. (I'm often charging it while traveling with no access to a wall plug).
What you describe in your situation is completely different from what I'm talking about: You have iTunes on and you are syncing the iPod, and then you eject it from within iTunes. What I'm talking about is NEVER having iTunes on, and just plugging the iPod into the USB port and just recharging it, nothing else.
My goal: I want to be able to plug in, recharge, and unplug the iPod without ever touching the mouse or the keyboard or interacting with the computer at all.
I 100% know this is possible because that is the setup I've had for months, and it worked fine. But when I recently updated to iPod software version 1.2, some setting was changed and I can't figure out what. I know it is very simple, the solution, but I've forgotten how I did it in the first place. -
Mu ipod contains my itunes music library but when i connect it to my laptop the music only shows shaded out on my ipod and does not appear in my itunes libary on line. My iphone only has my playlist in it and as my libabry is only on my ipod it doesn;t allow me to import to my iphone
Hello rhys139,
It sounds like you are trying to transfer music from your iPod to your computer. I found an article with information on transferring media from your iPod to your computer:

Ipod classic syncs with itunes, but when I disconnect, no music shows on ipod
I have an iPod classic 160GB and am able to sync the ipod to my macbook with iTunes 11, and it shows that I have 35gb of music on the iPod in iTunes. But when I disconnect the ipod, it says there is no music on the ipod. I think the problem started when I tried to connect the ipod to someone else's computer, but then there was a power outage so the computer died while the ipod was connected. Next thing I know, there is now music on the ipod. I've tried erasing everything and going back to factory settings, then re-syncing with my computer. Once the sync is complete, on the computer it shows the music is loaded, just when it's disconnected, there's nothing there.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
johnfitzk964Is this a playlist you created or one that was created by iTunes? Is it configured to sync to your iPod from under the iPod's Music configuration tab in iTunes?
