If you already have Adobe reader internet plug-in showing in Safari - Help - Installed Plug-ins, then perhaps try another browser : Firefox or Opera ?.

iTunes will ask you to enter your password when buying songs for each browsing "session". This wouldn't explain why you are being asked to enter it every 3 minutes though.
I would suggest logging out of your Apple ID on iTunes and logging back in. Also, you may verify that your computer is "Authorized" for use with your iTunes content.
To do this on a Mac, go to the "Store" tab at the top of the screen and click "Authorize this Computer"

  • I was installing adobe reader 10 and it timed out and did not install. How can I prevent this?

I downloaded adobe reader 10. It went through initializing, then started the installation, but it timed-out and was not successfully installed. Is there someplace I can change a setting that is causing it to time-out? How can I prevent this problem?

You can try downloading the full offline Reader installer from

If you search the forum you will find that the same problem is posted multiple times every day.
You will also find that the reply is always the same: see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-error-1015-11001-update.html

  • Installing Adobe Reader on a Thin Client

I have 27 Thin clients (HP t5639w) to set up in the next day or two... the problem: right out of the box, I am unable to install Adobe Reader on them. I have made room to install by using a flash drive to increase RAM, and Reader appears to have successfully loaded, but each time I try to open after install I get the following error message: "Font Capture: AcroRd32.exe Application Error.... The exception unknown software. Exception (0xc06d007e) occurred in the application at location 0x7c812afb."
I've tried to contact HP customer support - unfortunately, they refer me to the HP website and tell me to download the version there. It's the same version I've tried to install - no luck. I have installed other software on the Thin Clients successfully, but I'm only having an issue with Reader.
Anyone else have a similar issue? Any ideas?

    Here's the process:
    ·         Download Adobe to USB drive
    ·         Remove write filter – reboot
    ·         Create temporary TEMP and TMP folders on C: drive
    ·         Change Windows TEMP variables (both TEMP and TMP) to a folder on the “Hard Disk” – Reboot (Make a note of values before changing).
    ·         Install Adobe Reader – Reboot
    ·         Run Adobe Reader – If runs reboot
    ·         Replace TEMP and TMP variable entries (Usually Z:\TEMP and Z:\TMP respectively) – Reboot
    ·         Delete temporary TEMP and TMP folders – reboot
    ·         Re-enable write filter
    This worked for me!

  • A website is asking me to install Adobe Reader but I've already installed it...

    Hi!
I'm trying to access a part of a website and it's asking me to install either Adobe Reader (or Adobe Acrobat) to access the content of the website.
    Here's what it looks like:
It's written in French but it translates to For better results, open this PDF file with Adobe Reader 9 or with Adobe Acrobat 9, or with a more recent version.
And the link says Download Adobe Reader now
The thing is, I've already installed Adobe Reader on my computer. The version I've installed is the 11th.
What can I do now to access the content of this website?
Thank you for reading my question, I hope we'll succeed!

You may need to try a different browser. Many browsers use their own pdf viewers now which as you can see, can cause problems.
You can also try right-clicking and saving the pdf to your computer and then using File>Open from within Reader to view it.

  • I installed Adobe Reader to my Mac OSX 10.8... website I need it for says no.

I installed Adobe Reader to my Mac osx 10.8. It installed, I clicked "FINISHED".  When I go back to the education website that I needed it for it tells me I need to agree to the Adobe licsencing agreement and reopen the browser. How do I agree to the licsensing agreement?? It never came up for me to do that. I tried to re-install but it just tells me I already have it installed.
    Thanks
    Dawn

You need to open Adobe Reader by itself (not in the browser), then accept the EULA.

  • I am trying to download and install adobe reader, but it is not working. Everytime I try, I get the download but when I try to install it, it goes somewhere but not on my screen for me to install. If I try to install again, it says only one copy can be in

I am trying to download Adobe Reader, I have Windows 7 on my PC. Every time I get the download, I click on it to install the program, and I get the usual messages but I never get the install message. When I try the download again, I get a message telling me only one copy of the program can go on the computer. When I check the program list, it is not there. I have to restore my computer before I can attempt the download and install again. I have tried this at least 6 times but cannot install Adobe Reader. Please help me out with this. I really like this product and prefer to use it. I had o originally delete the program, due to an update conflict.

You can try using this tool to first remove all traces of Reader from your computer:
    http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
Then, you can download the full offline Reader installer from
    http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else.

You don't provide any details, but from the sound of it you are trying to open an online PDF in a browser that does not use the Adobe Reader plugin: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-browser-plugin-configuration.html

  • Can I get help to install Adobe Reader 11.0.02?

Help, please.  I'm unable to install Adobe Reader 11.0.02 because I'm not knowledgeable about computers and being 85 doesn't help.  I am using an iMac with OS 10.8.2.
I have 2 different yellow boxes on my desktop--Acrobat Reader .XI Installerr.pkg and AcrobatSecUpd1102.pkg (a 3rd yellow box vanished when I took it out of my Dock) as well as mostly white rectangular icons labelled AcrobatSecUpd1102 and AdbeRdr1100 2_en_US, probably because I saved AdbeRdr1100 2_en_US.dmg rather than opening with DiskImageMounter (default).
Also, in my Dock is Installer, a gray icon with a large arrow pointing down.
I did get a message that the installation failed and to contact the software firm.  I already have Adobe Reader 11.0.01 and tried to install 11.0.02 after deleting 11.0.01 from my Dock and again after putting it back in the Dock by getting it from my hard drive.  However, it is paled out when I attempt to choose the Adobe Reader version to replace so I cannot proceed.
Your help will be most appreciated.

Hey, I did succeed in downloading 11.0.02 and will attempt to delete my Question.

  • I need to install Adobe Reader to take a course but I cannot get it to work

How do I get this fixed? I need this course in order to renew my tradesman license.
    Thanks

Are you expected to download files from the course to look at on your computer or will all of the course be done completely online? If the course takes place entirely online, what may be needed is the Adobe Reader plugins getting installed properly in Safari. Since you're posting this in the Yosemite forum we can assume your using Yosemite, not Snow Leopard (10.6.8), so the plugins may not automatically be working. Assuming Reader has actually been installed, take a look at the instructions Adobe gives for activating the plugins.
BTW, do you have "Adobe Reader" in your Applications folder?

    "Logging"="voicewarmup"
    2. Now get the Adobe Reader Installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ .
    3. Now try to install Adobe Reader.
